A 28-year-old man who was caught on video attacking two pro-life activists outside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Baltimore was sentenced this week to a year of home detention and three years of probation. Baltimore Circuit Judge Yvette M. Bryant rebuffed prosecutors’ calls for a 10-year sentence against Patrick Brice, 28, after he was found guilty of two counts of second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in relation to the May 2023 incident, according to The Baltimore Banner.

Comments:

One of the victims in the attack shouted at the judge as she left the bench.

I’m a retired lawyer who used to do a lot of criminal defense work, so I need to be careful about what I say about this sentence. Most of the time 98% of the public has no idea about what goes into resolving criminal cases. Often charges are dropped and/or reduced because the state has proof problems. But still… these charges involve aggravated attacks on at least one elderly person, attacks that resulted in permanent eye injuries. It seems like a case that warranted prison time.

From the article: "A 28-year-old man who was caught on video attacking two pro-life activists outside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Baltimore was sentenced this week to a year of home detention and three years of probation." “This was not a minor altercation between two parties with differing views on abortion. It was a vicious, targeted assault on two senior citizens whose only ‘offense’ was praying for expectant mothers and offering life-affirming alternatives to abortion,” reacted Brejcha. “One of the victims was knocked unconscious. The other suffered broken facial bones and a lifelong eye impairment. This was an act of cowardice and cruelty, and sheer mayhem. This crime deserves far more serious consequences than a ‘get out of jail free’ card and a one-year home detention that amounts to nothing more than a slap on the wrist.” https://www.thomasmoresociety.org/news/judge-hands-get-out-of-jail-free-card-for-vicious-assault-on-elderly-pro-lifers Notsee black robe puke Baltimore Circuit Judge Yvette M. I suspect he will break some or all of the terms, year of home detention, three years of probation, anger management classes, drug and alcohol screening and remain in therapy. When he doesn't do these he then may see the inside of a prison.

Surprised the "judge" didn't throw the two elderly victims into jail for praying in front of a Planned Parenthood Clinic. She could have scolded them for loitering and some other made up violations that lefist use against those praying near clinics.

CNN’s Erin Burnett is being skewered for reporting that the gunman who opened fire in a Midtown skyscraper — killing an NYPD cop and three others — was “possibly white” after viewing the initial security footage released immediately after Shane Tamura’s deadly rampage. In the photos first shared online, Tamura, 27, was captured in broad daylight walking into 345 Park Ave. with a Palmetto State Armory AR-15 rifle in his hand. Burnett said police knew the gunman had “sunglasses, mustache, male, possibly white” during a broadcast shortly after the shooting Monday evening.

Let’s get this out of the way first. No, the Constitution wasn’t officially suspended in 1933. But it was gagged, blindfolded, and tied to a chair while the federal government handed itself sweeping emergency powers and redefined “freedom” into a kind of bureaucratic improv comedy routine. They didn’t declare martial law on paper because that would have looked bad. Instead, they declared it in practice and gave it a haircut, a press pass, and a desk job. Most Americans never noticed. Most still don’t.

Some important things happened this week. President Trump brought peace to a continent or two. The long-simmering Russia Collusion Hoax unraveled further. Controversy erupted over the Democrats’ disgraceful history of gerrymandering. Israel announced its intention to complete the pacification of Gaza. The Trump administration revoked the ridiculous CO2 endangerment finding. And more. But the nation’s meme-creators mostly focused their attention elsewhere. President Trump took a walk on a sloped roof. South Park viciously parodied Trump, JD Vance and Kristi Noem. The now indisputably-Republican Sydney Sweeney remained a popular meme subject. And, above all, persons mostly unknown debuted a new sports tradition: throwing green d*ldos on to the court at WNBA games.
