The next shoe dropped on Monday in the case of Texas Democrat legislators fleeing to Illinois and New York to deny a quorum, and now a motion to approve arrest warrants has been passed. As RedState reported, 51 Texas Democrats left the state on Sunday in an attempt to stop Republicans from passing a redistricting plan that would conceivably gain the GOP five congressional seats. Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) had been spearheading the plan as a way to combat the gerrymandering in states like California, where an "independent commission" drew lines that gave Democrats 83 percent of the seats despite their vote totals coming in far lower.

Send Texas Rangers, with zip ties and tasers. And in addition to gerrymandering, Chicago figured a way to extend beyond its existing municipal border within an expressway, many miles west to O'hare airport, where the narrow strip bloats to include one the of largest, busiest airports in the world. It's all about money: sales taxes, landing fees, etc. etc. I doubt there is a crookeder city on earth, although New York tries really hard. I'm not counting DC as just a city.

Babylon Bee actually has an interesting suggestion;

Democrats nationalized jerrymandering the voting districts many years ago. Take a look at your states voting district maps, all those spiders are Democrats efforts to concentrate democrat voters in that district. There are many different ways to commit voter fraud, but this one goes back a long time. Thank you AGAIN, President Trump.

Tin pot dictators ain't got nothing on the demoncratic party. I disagree with poster #1 on one thing. The Rangers should be equipped with whips and chains to drag these cretins off to jail. Let them scream like banshees while they're being booked with the TV on in the background so they can watch live coverage of their replacements being sworn in. Yes! I'm here for that. The American people are sick of their shenanigans.

Just like Bondi sending evidence about Russiagate to a grand jury, it looks pretty good on paper for now, doesn't it? Let's see some actual arrests.

Just Once I would like to see the Threat by Abbott go somewhere! If he now has the right to replace these Legislators, Do It!! Replace them and let them spend their own money getting a Lawyer and working to get their Seat back. Meanwhile, get on with redistricting! Otherwise, this just feels like another Round of Catch me if you Can! The Legislators will get on their Private Jet and come back home when they feel like it, smirking that they won once again! How about a Win for Our Side for a change!!

In addition, all of these faux lawmakers should be barred from holding any elective office in the future or from holding any position that pays them out of the taxpayer treasury. Let them find REAL jobs.

I'm skeptical about this vote in the TX house. How can they vote on arresting the Dem legislators that left TX to avoid the redistricting vote when current remaining TX legislators do not have a quorum? Something does not sound right. Abbott has a history of putting on a show and not following through. I hope I'm wrong.

Lived in Chicago a long time...when old mayor Daley was in charge...he loved his city and took very good care of US...when barackHUSSEINObama ran for senator from Illinois...I knew it was time to leave...and I did...why bring it up now...well...the democratic "machine" runs Chicago and Springfield....and it would take a miracle to give it back to the people ....but then...WE got a miracle with President Trump...didn't WE?

This is going to be some kind of specticle, because the Dems are going play it for all it's worth, so much drama it will be the next Spielberg movie!

Let's unpack this. The Legislature can't vote on Redistricting but they can vote on arresting Crooked Democraps? How does that work?

Maybe some votes don't require a quorum, just a simple majority of those in attendance.

This tells me the democrats are running scared of the next elections. They will likely end up worse than they are now. People like what Trump is doing, regardless of what the media is saying. He is actually gaining in approval rating as time passes. If Abbott can legally replace these people, do it and do it fast.
