Staten Island Democrats embrace Zohran

Democratic Party leaders in the city’s most conservative borough are jumping on the Zohran Mamdani bandwagon in what critics are calling the political equivalent of a “shotgun wedding.” Staten Island Democrats are making nice with the party nominee after backing his rival, ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the June Democratic Party primary. Cuomo is now running in the general election on an independent, minor-party line. “Zohran is the Democratic nominee. The voters have spoken,” said Laura LoBianco Sword, chairwoman of the borough’s Democratic Party.

Sliwa has run nothing but his mouth - ask his 3 ex wives or his baby moma. He has always been out for himself I knew him 50 years ago and he was a moron then. New York USED to be a great place to visit. Not so much anymore and will be even less if Zohran bamboozles enough voters. Sometimes you have to break something to fix it, and I dare say Zohran will be the one who breaks NY, but good.

Andrew Cuomo is a repulsive individual but Mamdani is dangerous in a different way. Truth is, New York City is broken and nobody smart or competent wants a job that promises failure at every turn. The voters have no choice at all. They are deeply in debt thanks to Adams, the sanctuary city status and millions spent catering to illegal aliens. Working taxpayers who stay there will be squeezed in a big way.

New Yorkers are going to have a Communist Mayor. They are going to pay the price for that is ways they cannot even imagine. Most of the giveaways he’s promising are pipe dreams with no funding to back them up. What he will do is drive the millionaires and billionaires he reviles out of New York leaving the fools who voted for him to pick up the bill.

Good morning, Alicia. So good to see you here. Yes, Staten Island will vote for Curtis Sliwa. And for once Sliwa actually could have a chance given Trump's growing support in NYS and the City in the last election. With some money, a creative campaign and a Republican party to support him with the capacity to get out the vote across the City, Sliwa could win. But, NYC has NO Republican Party that is capable of running a mayoral campaign, flooding the City with good ads outlining exactly the choice voters have in November between a communist, destructor, Mamdani and Curtis Sliwa, who knows and loves this City with every fiber of his being. Where is the Republican Party state chair, Ed Cox? No where. Hiding under his Park Avenue bed. That is the real story. Not Cuomo's selfish indulgence continuing to run. What is so sad is NYC Republicans don't even try to be an opposition party. As a lifelong New Yorker and an American, I am terrified at what is about to unfold in the country's most important city.

It's hard to fathom the evil that led to creating fake intelligence to frame then-presidential candidate Donald Trump as a Russian spy and traitor to his country. We've seen in recently declassified documents that Hillary Clinton didn't do this alone. She commanded dozens, if not hundreds, of willing participants, including the George Soros foundation, President Barack Obama, the FBI, the weaponized intelligence agencies, and others, to bring Donald to his knees.Buried deep in the latest tranche of declassified documents called the Durham annex report, however, a deep state hawk has found something that is equally or more evil than changing intelligence to manipulate one election's outcome.

“Deflection,” “Distraction” and “Dishonest” are just some of the accusations leveled at President Trump recently for saying he’d like to look into past Democrat conspiracies against him. The President’s critics have claimed that he is simply trying to push attention away from the Jeffrey Epstein story. Even some of the President’s defenders have sighed that surely he should focus on moving forward and not get distracted by these past problems. But putting aside for a moment the fact that President Trump has shown himself able to do more than one thing at a time, he is right to bring up the Russian collusion hoax and more.

A high-stakes deal that would give an American company a major role in running dozens of strategically crucial global ports is now in limbo — as China aggressively demands a stake. The United States cannot let that happen. US asset manager BlackRock and its partners are vying for 43 of the world’s most important shipping ports, including the two that straddle the Panama Canal. The seller is C.K. Hutchison, a major Hong Kong operator that is one of China’s “big three” port giants — and the only one not owned outright by the Chinese government. Prying these ports from China’s oversight is a critical move for both US national security and the global economy.

Last week, Texas House Republicans introduced a redistricting proposal that could net five new GOP seats. The draft congressional map, which is likely to change before approval by both state legislative chambers, aims to redraw district lines to include more Republican-leaning areas in Democratic strongholds like Dallas and Houston. Crockett, who serves Texas’ 30th Congressional District, which represents a large part of Dallas, has called the redistricting effort "a power grab to silence voters."

As expected, Texas Democratic legislators have fled the state to deny a quorum for Gov. Greg Abbott's redistricting push. JB Pritzker (D-IL), and the 30 odd Democrats will spend at least a week there. Given what we saw when they did this in 2021, denying a quorum for an election reform vote, there is no doubt a lot of grandstanding, dramatics, and cringe singing on the way.
