Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of prisoners might be at risk of executions." — Mahmood Amiry Moghaddam, director of the Norway-based Iran Human Rights Organization, June 26, 2025. Iran... has reportedly executed 1,700 people in 2025 alone -- and it is not even August. US President Donald J. Trump deserves every credit for bombing the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan uranium enrichment plants. However, forcing Israel to terminate its "Operation Rising Lion," just as it was finally giving the Iranian people a glimpse of hope for freedom in the course of destroying Iran's nuclear program and its key institutions of oppression, was a terrible move.

The Iranian people need to desire to be free, and if asked for help, we should give it. But, we shouldn't be nation building! Let the Iranians do the job...

No more foreign wars that we have no business in. Thats all we ever do is stick our noses into wars that aren't ours. Just recently we financed Ukraines and Israels wars, and we will never be paid back a nickel for it. There have been many many more throughout our history. We've been in nearly a perpetual state of war since 1776. People long to be ruled and Moslems love killing and being killed. We prevented them from the horrors of a nuclear retaliatory strike. Thats enough. Send them the bill and get out.

I think Israel should be allowed to end the radical Islamic dictatorship in Iran. Iran is the main support for terrorism around the world.

Today we celebrate what OUR Founding Fathers pledged their "Sacred Honor" to obtain and put their lives on the line while doing so. Our President promised Iran would not have a nuclear weapon. Done. The rest is up to the citizens of Iran. This is a good day to start the revolution....

Well, here’s an idea…how about we let Mr. Moghaddam, director of the Norway-based Iran Human Rights Organization handle that assignment. Do they not have balls enough in Norway to handle their wants? No, of course not. Once again others come crawling to the door of the U.S. like we’re their daddy. If you want it, make an effort!

This amazing Israeli and US military success may well go down in history as a colossal blunder, not for what we did but for what we didn't do. Israel had the Iranian regime on the ropes. We were *this* far from eliminating the worlds biggest sponsor of terrorism...and we walked away. The nuclear facilities were destroyed but with the regime remaining in power they will most certainly be rebuilt with plenty of help from China and Russia. No, neither Israel or the US could invade Iran but we could have allowed Israel to continue wiping out regime leaders and the military infrastructure so the people of Iran could carry out a successful revolt but we told them to stand down and they agreed. HUGE mistake. It may be 5 years, or 10 years or more but I guarantee we will be going through this again. I know President Trump wants peace and 'no wars' is central to who he is but this is a mistake.

Agonizing': How Alaska’s pivotal Republican

Just after midnight, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski was pacing in a Senate hallway, alone and looking concerned. It had suddenly become clear to all her Republican colleagues that her vote would be their best chance of passing President Donald Trump’s sweeping bill of tax and spending cuts. Had she decided whether she would support the bill? “No,” Murkowski said, shaking her head and putting her hand up to signal that she didn’t want to answer any questions. Around 12 hours later, after she had convinced Senate leaders to change the bill to benefit her state and voted for the legislation, ensuring its passage,

Maybe it was my long hair or dangling earrings or that I liked to listen to Joe Cocker. I remembered that she always appeared distressed — not because of a cancer diagnosis or trouble with her two children or a problem in her marriage or with her job as private secretary to a malpractice lawyer, but because of one or another of the endless planet-killing problems that occupy the daily bad thoughts and the nightmares of liberals.

The Senate version of President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” that passed a key procedural vote late Saturday has some big differences to the version the House approved. Two Republican Senators — Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Rand Paul (R-KY) were the lone GOP holdouts in the 51-49 vote after caucus leadership spent hours rallying support for the multi-trillion-dollar bill. The current version of the bill, which Senate lawmakers got their first look at Friday night, clocked in at 940 pages, and is largely in line with what the House narrowly approved in May.

Millions more have been displaced. Even without conflict, the region lacks stability for any number of reasons. Well this was certainly unexpected. The leftist Washington Post dropped a devastating op-ed Friday by its editorial board that ripped into democratic socialist mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani and said that he would be “bad for New York.” As we reported, the political novice won a shocking victory in Tuesday's Democrat NYC mayoral primary, beating disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo and putting himself in prime position for the November general election. Usually the liberal rag is little more than a mouthpiece for the DNC, so to see them go after a Democrat this hard is a stunner and reveals two things:

Democrats are right to be worried about the party’s shift to the left that Zohran Mamdani’s surprise victory in New York City’s mayoral primary implies. That’s because the party was already on the outs with a majority of American voters, according to newly released data from the Pew Research Institute. Pew conducts a biennial poll known as the Validated Voter Survey — considered one of the best ways to understand what happened in the prior election, because its survey results are cross-indexed with each state’s voter files. Only respondents who are shown to have actually voted are counted.

One year from now, you will not be able to turn around without receiving notice of America’s semiquincentennial jubilee. The jollity of the occasion will not change the fact that it will be seven years premature. The historical significance assigned to July 4, 1776, the date the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Second Continental Congress, is befuddling. Without victory in the Revolutionary War, which began over a year earlier, any declarations regarding American independence made during the summer of 1776 would have the same significance today as the “declarations of independence” made by the 11 Confederate States in 1860-61.

It's a sad fact of life and an awful commentary on our broken culture that churches need to have armed security guards. But thank God that several men at CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Mich., were armed and trained to respond to an attack. Their training and skills were put to the ultimate test on June 22, when Brian Anthony Browning, who was heavily armed and dressed in tactical gear, tried to enter the church. Their brave actions likely prevented the mass slaughter of Christians who were at the church that day to celebrate their annual Vacation Bible School program.
