The Senate version of President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” that passed a key procedural vote late Saturday has some big differences to the version the House approved.
Two Republican Senators — Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Rand Paul (R-KY) were the lone GOP holdouts in the 51-49 vote after caucus leadership spent hours rallying support for the multi-trillion-dollar bill. The current version of the bill, which Senate lawmakers got their first look at Friday night, clocked in at 940 pages, and is largely in line with what the House narrowly approved in May.

There is NO reason to increase the debt limit! Zero, Zilch, NONE. Debt will destroy "America the Beautiful", not any foreign adversary!

Washington has been adding a trillion dollars or more of debt every year for the last 20 years. You can't instantly go 180 degrees. We have three more years to start bringing down the national debt. Trillions of dollars in tariff income and a booming economy will make it happen. This bill MUST go through.

Cut all of the aid for food, including the meals at school. People who are supposedly starving (they aren't) all have the best cell phones, cable TV and a newer car than I do. They usually are smokers and carry more extra weight on their bodies than a B-2.

So 3-4 years of tax relief and everything reverts back. Enough to get them through the mid-terms and the next Presidential election. Hard to say what it adds to the deficit. CBO numbers are never reliable. I’m starting to think Tillis and Paul did the right thing.

I'm so sick of the politicians playing for the cameras in Washington DC...it's all a game to them...and securing their spot for the next 4 to 6 years....and...if the democrats are so anxious to make President Trump bad...why don't the jump on the bill with a yes vote...what is it for them...sometimes I think DC needs to follow President Trump's lead...as WE the people do...give him a chance to prove himself right all the time.....he wants this bill...so do it...already!!

PT’s record of good judgment and positive results overrides my concerns, and the apprehensions and naysaying of the experts. “Experts” can be wrong, or we wouldn’t be where we are today.

It is a fantasy that we can increase the debt limit and everything will be fine.
What it really means is that the value of a dollar is going to be further depleted. Those on fixed incomes will see their purchasing power very quickly putting them into poverty, especially those whose sole income is their Social Security annuity.
Costs will continue to skyrocket-- we saw that just in the last couple of years while NoBama's spending and JoeBamaBiteMe Vegetable were hijacking and spending without any fiscal discipline. The overall costs mandated programs will continue to balloon out of control taking everyone down in a whirlpool of a flushing toilet.
What good is it that the mismanaged and corrupt government spending using federal money to be used as graft and spin cycling the money back to line the pockets of politicians when even that is a drop in the bucket leading U.S. to financial disaster and dissolution of the Republic?

If one or two “republicans” are responsible for causing this bill to fail, they will be responsible for destroying the Republican party. They should be taken to the wood shed.

Did you like the $7 Trillion in debt in Trump's first term? Just wait, you ain't seen nothin' yet. This is just the first year. These blood-sucking leeches will be back next year telling us, "We need to raise the debt ceiling just this ONE MORE time. It's an election year, if we don't pass this one, the Democrats will win and raise the debt!"
And how many will go along and repeat, "Trust the plan."
P.S. Speaking of plans; Any word on reinstating whistleblowers? Arresting anyone involved in Russia-gate? How about the video that BJJ Dan swore he saw and we were going to get in a week? The files that were on Pami's desk, anything? And now Illegals can stay if they pick fruit or work in a Trump Hotel.
You can continue to fall for the hype OR, DEMAND BETTER.

If there were any good Democrats this bill would pass. Democrat-Marxists always stick together. Bipartisanship is only for Republicans.

The only description of this bill that is correct, is that it's big. With even more spending to send the deficit even higher, there's nothing beautiful about it.

Quibble. Quibble. Quibble.
If those are indeed the differences, this bill should quickly be approved.
Some people just want to have their finger prints all over things.
