After days of publicly mulling whether to join Israel in its military campaign against Iran, President Trump directed the U.S. military on Saturday to execute a complex attack on three of the nation’s nuclear sites with several American warplanes and submarines. Hours later, Mr. Trump declared the mission a “spectacular military success,” saying during a national address from the White House that U.S. forces had “completely and totally obliterated,” Iran’s nuclear program. “There’s no military in the world that could have done what we did tonight, not even close,” he said, standing in front of Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

US President Donald Trump says American warplanes have bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing war between Iran and Israel. "Remember, there are many targets left. Tonight was the most difficult of them all by far, and perhaps the most lethal," the president said in a brief televised address to the American people. "But if peace doesn't come quickly we will go to those other targets with precision, speed and skill."

Washington — Former President Joe Biden will be in Galveston, Texas, on Thursday to join a Juneteenth Celebration Service at a historic African Methodist Episcopal Church. The event will be held at the Reedy Chapel AME Church, one of the locations where an order announcing the end of slavery in Texas was read on June 19, 1865, two years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, according to the church. In 2021, Biden signed into law a measure that made June 19, or Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S. Called the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act

It would be amusing if it weren't so serious. Last weekend's expressions of supposed free speech were almost universally called demonstrations by the media and "mostly peaceful" by some. In contrast, the Jan. 6, 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol was labeled an "insurrection" and "riot" by the media. A few congressional Republicans have called for an investigation after reports that some NGOs were used by foreign and liberal individuals and domestic organizations to funnel money that underwrote some of the expenses, like the cost of well-made signs.

The Earth could be doomed to breach the symbolic 1.5C warming limit in as little as three years at current levels of carbon dioxide emissions. That's the stark warning from more than 60 of the world's leading climate scientists in the most up-to-date assessment of the state of global warming. Nearly 200 countries agreed to try to limit global temperature rises to 1.5C above levels of the late 1800s in a landmark agreement in 2015, with the aim of avoiding some of the worst impacts of climate change.

A reliance on net zero energy left Spain and Portugal vulnerable to a mass blackout engulfing the region. In what is believed to be Europe’s largest power cut, tens of millions of people were left without electricity, while flights were grounded, trains halted and whole cities left without power, internet access or other vital services. The key culprit for the blackout appears to be green energy. Green energy, unlike gas and coal, does not provide synchronous inertia that stabilizes the frequency in the network.

Elon Musk’s social media company X Corp reportedly sued New York Attorney General Letitia James in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, saying the state’s “Stop Hiding Hate” law tramples the First Amendment by forcing platforms to reveal how they police user speech. The law, modeled after a now-revised California measure, requires large social networks to publish their content moderation rules and file twice-yearly reports to the attorney general detailing “hate speech” removals, “disinformation” takedowns and other enforcement actions. X argues the disclosures mandate mirrors the California law a federal appeals court partially blocked last year, according to Reuters.

Mike Lindell, the chief executive of MyPillow and staunch supporter of Donald Trump, has lost a defamation case brought by a former employee of a voting equipment company.
A jury in Denver, Colorado, ordered Mr Lindell to pay $2.3m (£1.7m) to Eric Coomer, a former security and product strategy director at Dominion Voting Systems.
Lindell falsely accused Mr Coomer of helping to rig the 2020 vote, which was won by Joe Biden. During the two-week trial, Lindell stuck by baseless claims that the election was stolen from Donald Trump.

While thousands of liberals and left-wingers protested President Donald Trump’s agenda across the country on Saturday, many top Democrats were celebrating the lavish wedding of former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin and Alex Soros, the son of left-wing megadonor George Soros. An attendee at the event told the Daily Caller News Foundation that big-name guests included former Vice President Kamala Harris, Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York and Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California. Failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton also attended the wedding and delivered remarks, The New York Times reported.

Longtime Democratic Washington, D.C., Delegate to the House of Representatives Eleanor Holmes Norton told reporters Tuesday that she intends to run for reelection in 2026. Norton, who turns 88 on Friday, replied “yeah, sure,” after she was asked if she is seeking reelection, Politico reported. When asked how she would respond to anyone questioning whether she is capable of continuing to serve in Congress at her age, Norton stated “I’m going to run,” adding “I don’t know why anybody would even ask me,” the outlet reported. Norton’s comments come after several recent reports have highlighted concerns over her age and ability to continue serving in Congress effectively.

President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan said Sunday that California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass could face federal charges for their responses to recent ICE raids, which sparked violent riots in parts of Los Angeles, Compton and Paramount. Homan told NBC, “Someone is going to lose their life” during clashes between masked protesters and federal agents. He said he has not ruled out asking the Department of Justice (DOJ) to prosecute the officials, accusing them of “fomenting the anti‑ICE riots.”

Former White House physician and Republican Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson told the Daily Caller during an interview Monday that Dr. Kevin O’Connor, President Biden’s former physician, engaged in inappropriate sexual misconduct while working at the White House. Jackson said that during his time as Director of the White House Medical Unit (WHMU), he was responsible for signing O’Connor’s evaluations and fitness reports. During the interview, he said he thought about getting rid of O’Connor for a “variety of reasons” before accusing Biden’s doctor of inappropriate sexual behavior.
