LOS ANGELES -- More than 2,000 "No Kings Day" protests were held across the U.S. on Saturday to protest the Trump administration and to counterprogram the military parade in Washington, D.C. The demonstrations remained peaceful in almost all cities, but as the evening grew in Los Angeles, tensions escalated between police and protesters. (Snip) Ahead of the planned curfew set to go into effect at 8 p.m., LAPD is asking all demonstrators to leave the Civic Center area in downtown. Shortly before the request, the LAPD said officers had requested assistance due to "agitators" throwing objects at officers. Earlier, a dispersal

A morbidly obese New Jersey woman sporting a shaved head and a heart for criminal aliens made quite the spectacle of herself as she attached herself to an ICE vehicle as it attempted to leave what appears to be the Delaney Hall Detention Center.
Screaming like a banshee, the plus-size woman cried out to the driver, “Let my people go!”
The vehicle began slowly rolling as several protesters, including the shrieking lunatic, grasped the front end.
“Don’t kill me!” the woman called out as the vehicle picked up speed.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said her government is not ok with the ongoing immigration raids, claiming that they are targeting “honest” and “hardworking” individuals.
The politician made those comments on Thursday during her daily news conference, where Sheinbaum claimed to have met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.
During the brief meeting, Sheinbaum stated that they discussed various items related to the ongoing relationship between the two countries.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has urged people to rise up against the “disease” of immigration enforcement.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Johnson was asked during a public meeting on Wednesday about whether he would be joining protests against the Trump administration’s policy of mass deportations.
“This is a necessary fight for all of us to be able to push back,” Johnson said.
”Whether we use the courts or whether we continue to protest and raise our voices, dissent matters in this moment.”

The court battle over President Trump's deployment of the California National Guard and the U.S. Marines to provide extra security during the riots and rebellion in the Los Angeles area is ongoing. Now, though, the arguing has spread to the United States Senate, where Senate Democrats are demanding that the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chair, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) drag Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem into hearings.
There was a sternly worded letter involved.

Today we mark Flag Day—a day often overshadowed by barbecues and the early buzz of summer. But let me remind you: this isn’t just about flying a piece of cloth. It’s about honoring a symbol forged in the fire of war, consecrated by sacrifice, and held high by the everyday heroes who’ve carried America on their backs for nearly 250 years.
The American flag wasn’t born in glory—it was born out of necessity. When the Continental Congress adopted it on June 14, 1777, it wasn’t destined for classroom walls or Olympic ceremonies. It was a battlefield tool, a banner for soldiers

Democrats have been losing their minds about the 250th birthday of the Army celebration in Washington, D.C.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's reaction was pretty disgusting - acting like he was horrified by seeing the preparations, and even hoping they will be rained on. Too bad, Tim; so far, it looks like a beautiful day.
There were other Democrats like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) who attacked the event, claiming it is somehow a celebration by President Donald Trump of his birthday and that the cost of $45 million is too much. But they had been preparing for the event for the past two years.

In the wake of the horrific shootings in Minnesota that left former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband dead and State Senator John Hoffman and his wife hospitalized, Senator Cory Booker wasted no time jumping in front of a camera to deliver a sermon on “context”—a not-so-subtle attempt to blame President Donald Trump and his supporters.
In a video posted to his X account, Booker began with standard boilerplate stuff: “What happened in Minnesota is horrific. This is not right, it is not normal, it is not justifiable, and should not be tolerated. Violence, political violence, of any kind is not acceptable.”
But then came the pivot.

“Mass Deportations Now.”
It wasn’t just a slogan on signs — it was a rallying cry that galvanized millions of voters. The promise was the restoration of American sovereignty through the removal of all illegal aliens — not just the violent ones. Americans understand that national unity requires assimilation, and assimilation is impossible when millions pour in illegally and remain indefinitely. The message that won the election was not “Mass Deportations, But Only For The Worst Offenders.”
But on Thursday President Donald Trump posted the following on Truth Social:

Recently, Katy Perry claimed on her Instagram page that California has always belonged to Mexico and is another example of U.S. racism and bigotry. That’s not quite … right. California, like most of the world, has a history that’s slightly more complex than will fit an average bumper sticker. Prior to the Spanish arrival in 1542, there were more than 100 different tribes inhabiting modern-day California. President Trump supporter Charlie Kirk presented a poll question on his Twitter account asking, “Should the US get involved in Israel’s war against Iran?” Almost a half million responses and the outcome is almost 90% saying no. (image)There is obviously a significant majority of MAGA Republicans who do not want the U.S. military involved in more foreign conflict.
Also, it’s obvious this is not a scientific poll and more of a ‘sense’ amid the people who use Twitter; people who are often the strongest political influence voices for American politicians; but still, that is quite a remarkable outcome.

"No Kings" events in Anoka and northeast Minneapolis have been canceled so far on Saturday, following the targeted shootings at the homes of two Minnesota lawmakers. Organizers say the cancellations are due to a shelter-in-place order and "ongoing safety concerns" after the shootings targeting DFL Sen. John Hoffman and DFL Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman. Gov. Tim Walz has since said Hortman and her husband are dead, and Hoffman and his wife are wounded following the "politically motivated" shooting.

A London academic has appealed to policymakers and military leaders to consider taking remedial action to minimise the impact of civil wars, which he warns have become a distinct possibility in Western nations.
Professor of War in the Modern World, David Betz of King’s College London, has claimed that many European countries now exhibit signs of being in a pre-civil war state. According to his research, there is a statistically significant chance of a war breaking out in the next five years in a Western state, and given Europe’s interconnected nature, it could spark similar conflicts in neighbouring nations.

Hossein Salami, head of the world’s leading terrorist organization, is at room temperature. Donald Trump took out Qasem Soleimani, the previous leader of Iran’s terrorist Revolutionary Guards Corps, in 2020. On Friday the 13th of June 2025, Israel erased Soleimani’s successor Salami, along with military generals, political leaders, and nuclear scientists. The latter join at least seven other scientists Israel hit in the previous decade. Iranian nuclear physicists exhibit short half-lives.
The day after Trump announced the successful conclusion of trade talks with China, Israel launched against Iran. Was this coincidence?

Whatever your feelings are on an obnoxious Democrat leader being restrained by federal security — yeah, I don’t really care, either — the one thing I don’t appreciate is being told that what I saw with my eyes isn’t what happened. But if there’s anything the dying news media excel at these days, it’s precisely that.
Video of Alex Padilla has been on replay everywhere since Thursday after the California Democrat abruptly pushed his way to the front of a press briefing led by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Noem was in Los Angeles overseeing federal law enforcement of illegal alien apprehensions and conducting the briefing to explain her department’s

Judge Charles Breyer is another member of this unholy fraternity that’s leading this judicial coup. The man tried to—and this is just beyond laughable—wrest the commander-in-chief role from the executive last night. It lasted about 30 seconds before an appeals court slapped it down for gross overreach. It’s become the hallmark characteristic of this cabal of judges who think they’re the entire government. Once again, we have a clown in robes who would fit better as an MSNBC commentator than a judge.

It looks like it's going to be a busy weekend.
We saw things get started early with anti-ICE protests in a variety of locations, including at the Delaney Hall ICE facility in Newark on Thursday and Friday. Also on Friday, there was action at the U.S. Capitol. People were protesting at the Supreme Court.
