President Trump supporter Charlie Kirk presented a poll question on his Twitter account asking, “Should the US get involved in Israel’s war against Iran?” Almost a half million responses and the outcome is almost 90% saying no. (image)There is obviously a significant majority of MAGA Republicans who do not want the U.S. military involved in more foreign conflict.
Also, it’s obvious this is not a scientific poll and more of a ‘sense’ amid the people who use Twitter; people who are often the strongest political influence voices for American politicians; but still, that is quite a remarkable outcome.

Robot responses. How many of the responses weren't real people?

Will the same 90% also support Hamas?

How do these people who say they don't want to support Israel say about our giving away billions to support Ukraine?

Whatever, too late by decades.
We fund and supply Israel. They used our funding and supplies to bomb Iran.
I'm good with that but let's not pretend we're not already involved. The Iranians certainly see it that way as well as 99% of the rest of the world.

Don't forget, the Iranians build missiles and arm the Houties who use the weapons to fire on us ships who are protecting The Straits of Hormuz. We do have a dog in this fight but the best thing we can do is support. Israel's got the f-35s which are pretty decent aircraft.

Online poll. Not valid.
Only people who chose to respond were counted.

The U.S. better support Israel. The nuclear bombs Iran was planning to build weren't meant only to take out all of Israel. They don't shout "Death to Americans" for nothing. Iran never intended to slow up their plan to get enriched uranium so they could build the bombs. God bless and protect Israel for their bravery in trying to rid the world of this evil regime.

Another reason why I no longer both with Sundance's "content"... Even if we accept his claim that everyone who voted in Kirk's poll is a Trump-supporting MAGA voter (far from certain, BTW), this means that a sample of exactly 0.63% of Trump voters (i.e 489,266 divided by 77,303,569... multiplied by 100%) speaks what other 99.37% are thinking. This guy is dimmer than a dying incandescent bulb.

I don't want American troops in foreign wars, but if Israel gets in trouble and need bailing out we gotta go.

I can believe this. We just went through three back to back wars over a period of 20 years. Americans have been watching the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers and friends come back in caskets, missing limbs other injuries and often with PTSD.
So long as Iran doesn't strike American targets and kill Americans, launch weapons of mass destruction indiscriminately or flattening hospitals and daycare centers, those numbers will remain high. Do any of the above and those polls will invert quickly. Iran's only hope is to keep this between them and Israel without committing war crimes.
As much as I want to see Iran flattened, I'm happy to sit this out, for now. In the long run, if Israel can do this and prevail on their own, the less likely others will test them in the future.

I am no fan of Sundance but even I am shocked that he would expect anyone to believe the validity of an online poll. That said I do believe that the American people do not want us actively involved in a war with Iran. Israel is an ally that is threatened by an enemy state so of course we support Israel with equipment and intelligence. We would do the same for any other ally. So far there is absolutely no need to physically involve ourselves in this war. For a change I agree with Sundance despite his absurd reliance on an online poll.

Yep. Go for it, online pollsters for fake news or not really. Meanwhile, I am sure that Khamenei is carefully checking for explosives under the toilet seat each morning before that daily sit-down. The IDF occupies his mind bigly.

Count me in the 90%. We have no legitimate national interest in the middle east. It is not worth one American dollar or one American life. They all hate each other and have killed each other for centuries. They like to kill. They like to die. Life means nothing to these animals, not even their own. We aren't going to change that.
Let them obliterate each other. Then they'll be happy and we can buy the oil off the winner.

Pure propaganda. Iran was our number one clear and present danger because the country is being controlled by lunatic religious fanatics and would use a nuclear bomb against us the very minute they had one because we are the Great Satan. Donald Trump realized that and took the action needed to aid Netanyahu. China, North Korea and Russia are numbers two. three and four, have had bombs for quite a while but have leaders with just enough sense to avoid suicide. Much of our past military action was avoidable, this was not.

I also question the poll's issue framing/question granularity with the use of the word "war," in that most folks seem to be voicing avoidance of troops on the ground, vs degrading/eliminating Iran's nuclear capabilities through air power and guided missiles, while pretending that Iran's nuclear weapons sprint only imperils Israel, so the U.S. should stay hands off unless directly attacked by Iran. That is like saying 'do not touch the drug cartels manufacturing and supplying fentanyl to our kids but only go after street dealers who show up in your neighborhood schoolyards.' Reading the comments appended at the end of the article, there is even questions as to perceptions of Trump's MAGA vs MAGA as defined by others who claim to be of MAGA. Depending on Israel alone to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program, plus repeatedly bleating to Iran that the U.S. was 'hands-off' in the Israeli air strikes, appears to be the same type weakness telegraphed to Iran by an assortment of U.S. presidents over the last 46 years, with the exception of Reagan in 1988, when U.S. forces sunk half of Iran's navy in a single day's engagement, after an Iranian mine damaged a U.S. frigate in the Persian Gulf.
