St. Louis' Emergency Management Director
Placed on Leave After She Forgot to Sound
Tornado Alarm

Original Article

I have no idea how to comprehend this act of incompetence. Last Friday, severe storms rolled into St. Louis. A tornado touched down and struck the northern part of the city—and there were no warning sirens. The tornado alarm system was never activated. It wasn’t due to a computer glitch. It was human error: the emergency management director, Sarah Russell, essentially forgot to turn it on, but it gets worse: the staff wasn’t even in the office. Russell contacted the fire department to initiate the system, but this was a shambolic failure

Comments:

Incompetence used to be somewhat rare, but with various programs in place, we seem to be ignoring skill and competence.

When oh when will we go back to hiring people based on experience and merit rather than ethnicity or the sexual practices they choose to follow?? This is truly tiresome.

#8 Maybe it was how to push the siren button when a tornado is coming? I saw the Mayor on a Reels on FB and she was in tears after being in so many homes with so many in need on the north side. Scavengers are already coming in to pick up bricks. They are telling the people not to sell their bricks, use them to rebuild your home. Such a sad situation.

Apocalyptic cults provide a window on some amazing complex group dynamics. First, of course is the "apocalyptic" part. This is what they are best known for -- the world is going to end next Tuesday or the aliens will be arriving the first of the month to take the chosen to space heaven, or a hundred other crazed ideas. The cults preach that the only way to “escape this impending doom is by joining the group, adhering to its leader's teachings, and following its prescribed rituals.” For the Democrat party, the most recent apocalyptic tale is of course the horrors of climate change.

Apparently, nobody’s watching the watchmen. Private security guards hired by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to staff subway stations, and act as deterrents to would-be turnstile hoppers, have instead been lending a helping hand to the Big Apple fare-beaters. The Post recently observed Allied Universal Security Services guards inside the Herald Square station holding the emergency doors open on two different occasions to let a stream of scofflaws through. Several commuters could be seen walking up to the gate, and exchanging words with the guard, who then let them in. Whenever the guard opened the door, other fare-evaders would make a dash for it. “Whenever the gate opens, nobody wants to pay,” offered Allied Guard

Yet in the Trump era, all it took was a handful of Afrikaners to lay the real intent of their immigration program bare The lib-left establishment isn’t pro-migrant and they’re certainly not concerned with taking in genuine refugees fleeing political violence.[snip] The Great Replacement is real. It’s something out of the movie Airplane, but that’s the Biden administration—an epic display of either government incompetence or indifference. This crew didn’t care that Kabul was going to fall to the Taliban, leading to the shambolic exit from the country and, finally, the detached and gross reaction to the 13 American soldiers who were killed during the Abbey Gate terror attack. To this day, I don’t think a senior member of the Biden administration has called the families of these victims. Biden's reputation as Mr. Empathy took an irreparable blow.
