Democrat Rep. Shiri Thanedar (MI) has introduced a resolution to force a chamber-wide impeachment vote against President Trump.
Thanedar introduced “his impeachment resolution as privileged on Tuesday afternoon, meaning leaders have two days of the House in session to take up the legislation,” per Fox News.
No House Republicans have signaled support for the measure, and leaders could potentially keep lawmakers from voting on impeachment at all.
When deeming his resolution privileged, Thanedar said the president “has unlawfully conducted himself, bringing shame to the presidency and the people of the United States,” while calling the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) a “flagrantly unconstitutional creation.”

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) has quickly become one of America’s top members of Congress thanks to his outstanding voting record and humorous put-downs of leftist anchors during hostile interviews. He once again went viral today after a liberal tried to ambush him on the streets of D.C. regarding the massive piece of legislation introduced yesterday by Congress that will enact a considerable chunk of President Trump’s agenda.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, House Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee—led by Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO)—released the text of a monumental new tax reform package titled “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill.”

The rate at which President Trump is moving his agenda forward and taking executive action is astounding. Trump is regularly accomplishing in one week what a White House used to be satisfied with accomplishing in one month. This past week is a perfect example. President Trump announced a new trade deal with both the U.K. and China, brokered an in person meeting between Russia and Ukraine, de-escalated a possible catastrophic war between India and Pakistan, secured the release of the final American being held hostage by Hamas, and is taking on big pharma in an effort to lower drug prices.

Trump announced he would nominate CatholicVote president Brian Burch for the role in late December. In early May, Burch cleared the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations on a party-line vote, setting up a vote by the full Senate.
In the meantime, Pope Leo XIV was named as the successor to Pope Francis, and his installation is set for this weekend.

Hamas’s leader in Gaza, Muhammad Sinwar, was targeted in a massive Israeli airstrike at a hospital in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday afternoon, security sources said.
The Israel Defense Forces, which did not confirm if Sinwar was killed, said in a statement that it had targeted Hamas operatives at an underground command center belonging to the terror group, below the European Hospital in Khan Younis. The military also released footage from the aftermath of the strike. The video purported to show that the IDF strike had uncovered the tunnel under the hospital, though the footage showed an adjacent school and not the medical center.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is investigating whether Harvard University unlawfully hires faculty based on race and sex, arguing that the school’s own data provides evidence of discrimination. The probe is the latest federal action against the beleaguered university, which last month sued the Trump administration over its decision to freeze more than $2 billion in aid to the Ivy League school.
In a document initiating the investigation, the EEOC cited materials on Harvard’s website—many of them now deleted—in which the school bragged about increasing the number of "women, non-binary, and/or people of color" on the faculty. The largest increase was in the share of non-white tenure-track faculty

Harvard can't claim they weren't warned. Education Secretary Linda McMahon sent a letter a week ago to Harvard president Alan Garber warning him to start complying with the administration's interpretation of the Civil Rights Act and two Supreme Court decisions on discrimination.
Harvard ignored the letter until yesterday, when Garber tried sweet-talking McMahon out of her decision to disqualify Harvard from any federal funding until they acted to end discrimination and anti-Semitic intimidation campaigns on campus. Garber tried to argue that he and McMahon were sympatico on those goals, but just differed on how to achieve them:

Beege's excellent post on the financial bonanza that Trump's tariffs have brought highlights one side of the story that the Pravda Media didn't expect.
JP Morgan's reversal of its prediction that Trump's trade policy would usher in a recession tells the other side.
All the "best people" have missed the point of Trump's moves to reshape world trade. JP Morgan's prediction that the tariffs would usher in a serious recession was not insane. Any economist will tell you that, all other things being equal, reducing the friction involved in people trading will reduce the efficiency of the market. Inefficient markets increase costs, reduce economic activity, and lead to lower growth.

He said that law enforcement will “find out” if the Department of Homeland Security does proceed to arrest these House Democrats. What does that mean, sir? Also, if a Republican said this during Biden’s term, the National Guard would’ve been deployed.

The days of rogue district court judges hijacking executive authority may finally be numbered. On Thursday, the Supreme Court is set to hear arguments in a consolidated case, Trump v. CASA, which challenges lower court rulings that blocked President Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship for children born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants. Despite the constitutional authority granted to the executive branch on immigration matters, three district judges issued sweeping nationwide injunctions halting the order. Now, the highest court may have the chance to rein in judicial overreach and restore balance between the branches of government.

In the weeks surrounding President Trump’s inauguration, America’s propaganda press relentlessly cited leftist claims that 15,000 trans-identifying individuals would be booted from the military under the new commander-in-chief. The insinuation, of course, was that such a move would harm “military readiness” and the country’s national security.
In a statement to The Federalist, a Defense Department official said that, as of February, there are “approximately 4,200 Active-duty, Guard and Reserve service members currently serving diagnosed with gender dysphoria” throughout the armed forces. The total is roughly the same that was announced by the agency in February.

Who didn’t? I was on Australian television during the 2020 election campaign, and casually mentioned that Joe Biden was senile. Rita Panahi was startled and said, “Wait, what? Joe Biden is senile?” I explained that this was why he was running a basement campaign rather than putting on campaign events like Donald Trump did. It seemed obvious at the time.
Biden’s debility became increasingly clear over the four years of his term. The videos of Biden being unable to speak without a teleprompter, being unable to read a teleprompter, falling down, wandering about, speaking inappropriately in various ways, were legion.

It also raises important questions: Will Trump seal a permanent deal? If he does, will his critics recognize that his gamble on tariffs paid off?
News of the trade agreement sent stock markets soaring. The S&P 500 climbed more than 3%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged more than 1,100 points and the Nasdaq Composite rose more than 4.3%.

In his latest proposal to end the war in Ukraine, former President Donald Trump reportedly offered Vladimir Putin a dangerous concession: de jure recognition of Russia’s annexation of Crimea. The proposal appears to accept the idea that Crimea was once part of Russia and that returning it to Russia would restore historical justice.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has taken steps towards removing gun control activist and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor David Hogg as vice chairman.
On Monday, the credentials committee of the DNC voted 13-2 to void the election results from February in which Hogg and Pennsylvania state Rep. The vote comes as Hogg is reportedly planning to “spend up to $20 million” to fund “primary campaigns against incumbent Democrats.”
