Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg held a town hall in the influential early-contest state of Iowa on Tuesday, potentially fueling added speculation about another presidential run for the prominent Democrat. Buttigieg held the town hall with VoteVets, a progressive political action committee advocating on issues like national security and veterans’ care, in Cedar Rapids, marking the first time he’s been back to Iowa since the end of the Biden administration. The former 2020 presidential candidate noted that he’s not currently a public official, nor is he actively running for office and called on officials to take part in more events

Pete is one of many who continually run for political office because they have no marketable skills in the private sector.

And I originally thought FKH was the ultimate DEI presidential candidate. But I now think Pete is actually more unqualified than she was. Which makes him qualified. The difference is he is gay and that trumps (play on words) being half, sort of, kind of a dark skinned female but not really black. The only thing that would qualify Pete more would be if he was a tranny.

The fact that he thinks he has a shot is proof of his delusion. We've had enough of that with Biden....we don't need Biden Light!

What did Buttigieg do for the 4 years that he was Secretary of Transportation? Don’t ever forget when Buttigieg runs for President that he is a do nothing and doesn’t deserve any public service job except maybe animal control officer picking up dead carcasses off the roads!

If he were to get the Dem nomination, he'd be the third Dem female to run and fail. That would break his husband's heart.

I've heard speculation that Buttigieg plans to switch his current husband for that Hogg lad out of Florida, the pale boy-communist that's been making such a fuss. Next, he'll announce Beto O'Rourke as his running mate, another sure fire attempt to unite the deviant left under the banner of cool-kids wannabes and all things not American.

What constituency that abandoned the Democrats in 2024 will come rushing back because "Mayor Pete" (won't call him Secretary Pete, since he practically didn't show up for the job for four years) is running for President? Those who share his sexual orientation? I doubt it -- give Scott Presler a 5-minute phone conversation with any of them and there will be new die-hard MAGA converts.

Petey Girl collected a taxpayer-funded salary and did nothing for four years. The White House would give him the opportunity to do nothing for another four years and collect $400K per year. Run Petey run. The dems have nobody better.

Buttigieg is the devoted son of a (now dead) Gramscian Communist scholar and activist father, Joseph Buttigieg II. The elder Buttigieg’s lifelong study was Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Marxist from the late 1800’s, who devised and energetically advocated for policies he called cultural hegemony or “the long march through the institutions”. His target for this approach was mainly the U.S. and his aim was to embed Marxism inextricably into all aspects of American life. A Maltese national and English professor at Notre Dame, Joseph translated some of Gramsci’s writings and started the first (and perhaps only) American society devoted to studying Gramsci’s life and thoughts. As a younger man, Pete assisted his father in highlighting Gramsci’s work among Americans.
Were he and Pete advocates of Gramscian policies? By their fruits you will know them. I believe Pete’s irresponsible and deadly inaction as Sec. of Transportation at least brands him as incompetent, perhaps Sovietly so, but also as an assistant in the Biden Administration’s deliberate weakening of the U.S. from within.

The Buttster has apparently taken a look at the market for his "skills" and determinted that the donations to his campaign would pay better than anything else he could get. He gets paid for running his Alfred E. Neuman mouth.

Only in the democratic party can a person like this, a total fraud, an incompetent anti American fool, hold a town hall meeting. Think about it, think about the people attending this clown show. All of their intelligence combined couldn't light up a one watt bulb. Democrats are one thing, brain dead. Pathetic.

Oh God why can't little Alfred E Neuman just go away and breastfeed his adopted kids? Mayor "Pete" is good for doing one thing and one thing ONLY, and that's running for office. Of course, once he gets into office, he hasn't the faintest idea how to govern. He ran South Bend into the ground as Mayor, and then as Sec. of Transportation he handed over a system barely able to function. What the hell did he actually DO for 4 years as Sec. Trans? If you or I gave a family member a car and NOT TOLD THEM we'd run the thing into the ground, how could we then deny any culpability when it breaks down over and over?
