Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg held a town hall in the influential early-contest state of Iowa on Tuesday, potentially fueling added speculation about another presidential run for the prominent Democrat. Buttigieg held the town hall with VoteVets, a progressive political action committee advocating on issues like national security and veterans’ care, in Cedar Rapids, marking the first time he’s been back to Iowa since the end of the Biden administration. The former 2020 presidential candidate noted that he’s not currently a public official, nor is he actively running for office and called on officials to take part in more events

And I originally thought FKH was the ultimate DEI presidential candidate. But I now think Pete is actually more unqualified than she was. Which makes him qualified. The difference is he is gay and that trumps (play on words) being half, sort of, kind of a dark skinned female but not really black. The only thing that would qualify Pete more would be if he was a tranny.

Buttigieg is the devoted son of a (now dead) Gramscian Communist scholar and activist father, Joseph Buttigieg II. The elder Buttigieg’s lifelong study was Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Marxist from the late 1800’s, who devised and energetically advocated for policies he called cultural hegemony or “the long march through the institutions”. His target for this approach was mainly the U.S. and his aim was to embed Marxism inextricably into all aspects of American life. A Maltese national and English professor at Notre Dame, Joseph translated some of Gramsci’s writings and started the first (and perhaps only) American society devoted to studying Gramsci’s life and thoughts. As a younger man, Pete assisted his father in highlighting Gramsci’s work among Americans. Were he and Pete advocates of Gramscian policies? By their fruits you will know them. I believe Pete’s irresponsible and deadly inaction as Sec. of Transportation at least brands him as incompetent, perhaps Sovietly so, but also as an assistant in the Biden Administration’s deliberate weakening of the U.S. from within.
