Members of the Venezuelan gang threatened to hold ICE officers captive and injure them on April 26 as they barricaded the doors of their unit with their cots, covered surveillance cameras, blocked windows, and flooded the unit by clogging the toilets, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
The takeover attempt lasted “several hours,” with the detainees ignoring the orders of ICE agents.
Capitol Police on Wednesday appeared to remove Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen from the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions’ (HELP) hearing with Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Anti-Israel protesters disrupted Kennedy’s opening statement before the committee, in which footage showed Cohen standing up and being removed by police. Cohen spoke at a pro-Palestine press conference with Democrat Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib outside of the U.S. Capitol ahead of the hearing.

So-called “influencers” are being accused of threatening the white African refugees in social media posts that are going viral for all the wrong reasons.
Apparently, it’s cool to be xenophobic again as long as the people fleeing oppression are white. At least, that’s what one might glean from the videos that have been coming out since President Donald Trump made it his administration’s priority to “promote the resettlement of Afrikaner refugees escaping government-sponsored race-based discrimination, including racially discriminatory property confiscation.”
But America may not be any safer than the violence they are fleeing if these people have their way.
