Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has won a $1.375 billion settlement from Google as a result of the state suing the tech company for continued privacy violations. [Press Release Here] In 2022, Attorney General Paxton sued Google for unlawfully tracking and collecting users’ private data regarding geolocation, incognito searches, and biometric data. After years of aggressive litigation, Attorney General Paxton agreed to settle Texas’s data-privacy claims against Google for an amount that far surpasses any other state’s claims for similar violations. To date, no state has attained a settlement against Google for similar data-privacy violations greater than $93 million. Even a multistate coalition that included forty states secured just $391 million—

1.3+ Billion isn't going to make a dent for these people. They need a REAL fine. Or jail time.

I quit using Google at least ten years ago. Slanted searches and propaganda tool for the Dems. They are more subtle about it now but it's there and I have always suspected that they were gathering information and selling it to marketing companies. When I used them and did a search for a certain product, I would get an ad or pop-up for the same product from another company. To be honest, Those have become so prevalant and annoying that it's forced me to use the best ad blocker I could find. I realize ads pay for the internet content but some sites had so many that they almost block all of the content, We upgraded to new phones a few months ago and until I could get an ad blocker installed, they were almost unusable for internet browsing.

Me too, #4. I quit after reading an article by a real reporter in DC who turned off his phone and then spent a couple of hours traveling around the city using every mode of transportation available. When he turned his phone back on he found that Google had tracked him the entire time, even with his phone turned off. The first thing I do when getting a new device is to remove everything Google from it. That company is evil.

It's not "big business" which has to bend over - - it's the lying, despicable, leftist propaganda tools which must be crushed. There are lots and lots of very good "big businesses." It's the creepy lefties who deserve the stomping.

I wouldn't want to sound ungracious, but will this amount come from Google's petty cash drawer, or will it leave a scar? In any case, high fives for AG Paxton!

Former President Joe Biden’s failed floating Gaza pier plan left 62 US personnel injured, one service member dead and caused at least $31 million in damage to military equipment, according to a scathing Pentagon watchdog report that found the Army and Navy failed to properly plan, train for, prepare for and coordinate the mission. The project, which Biden announced during his 2024 State of the Union address amid mounting protests on the left over Israel’s war against Hamas, sought to deliver humanitarian aid to the terrorist-controlled enclave —

Educayshun has become mere propaganda at hundreds of American schools and universities. In fact, Defending Education has identified a staggering $373 million in DEI funding since 2016 across more than a hundred institutions of higher learning. Defending Ed investigated 130 colleges and universities across 44 states and Washington, D.C. to date, identifying 281 diversity, equity, and inclusion funds (DEI). These include scholarships and programs based around race and sexual “identity.” Defending Ed warned that, while many universities and colleges have now officially ended DEI programs under Trump administration pressure, in many cases, the programs have simply been renamed or gone underground for the time being.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided a Washington, DC restaurant owned by CBS News star Norah O’Donnell’s husband as part of a crackdown on illegal migrants. Chef Geoff’s, a small chain owned by O’Donnell’s spouse Geoff Tracy, was among the handful of eateries targeted by the feds on Tuesday, FOX5 reported. Nearly a dozen ICE and law enforcement agents went to one of the locations at about 10:30 a.m. and spent roughly 90 minutes asking to see workers’ I-9 forms — the employment verification record used to ensure employees are legally allowed to work in the US. No one was taken into custody at the location.

The Catholic Church has issued a warning to its clergy in Washington state: Any priest who complies with a new law requiring the reporting of child abuse confessions to authorities will be excommunicated. The new law, which will take effect on July 27, eliminates the long-standing confidentiality of the confessional, forcing Catholic leaders and lawmakers into a highly charged standoff over religious liberty and child protection. However, the Archdiocese of Seattle and several bishops argue that the law not only contravenes church doctrine but crosses constitutional lines, while supporters maintain it is a crucial step to protect minors from abuse.
