There Goes Antarctica

Our southernmost continent is, we’ve been told, the suffocating canary in the global coal mine. The more ice loss in Antarctica, the greater trouble we’re in. So what do we make of a study which found that between 2021 and 2023, there was a record-breaking increase in the Antarctic Ice Sheet? We mark it down as another in a long line of misses from the global warming zealots. “Notably, four major glaciers in the Wilkes Land–Queen Mary Land region of East Antarctica reversed their previous pattern of accelerated mass loss from 2011 to 2020 and instead showed significant mass gain during the 2021 to 2023 period,”

I guess the active volcanoes under Antarctica are taking a break. For some reason climate alarmists never mention these well know volcanoes that heat water and melt ice.

Letting the climate loons have a voice is like being married to a shrew. When you do something they don't approve of you are the absolute worst but when you do something good it goes unnoticed and ignored. Climate Science is not a science, it is a religion and the rules are unbending.

Whatever is the cause of this reversal, more money from American taxpayers will cure the problem. Climate worriers just need time to come up with the problem.

The world of climate change is the playground of annoying busybodies. Busybodies think they are superior to the rest of us and have the sociopathic need to control what the rest of us do. It’s really a mental health crisis/issue.

The Israeli government says that it will carry out the operation if Hamas does not agree to a hostage deal by the end of the forthcoming visit of President Donald Trump to the region, which will be from May 13 to 16.Military analysts describe “Gideon’s Chariots” as a classic “clear, hold, build” strategy to root out Hamas and create new, credible, demilitarized civilian authorities to govern the Palestinian communities in Gaza.Israel plans to use military pressure to rescue the remaining hostages in a new way: not by pressuring Hamas leadership, which has been unwilling to compromise, but to isolate Hamas cells that are holding captives.

USDA announced the operations in a jpress release as the USDA Special Investigations Unit worked with local law enforcement to identify criminals stealing SNAP benefits. According to the press release, SNAP theft on EBT cards has “dramatically increased in recent years.” One way criminals do this is card skimmers, essentially stealing these benefits loaded onto the card. USDA notes that international criminal organizations are “heavily” involved in these thefts as well.Acting Deputy Undersecretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services John Walk, who participated in the operations — which are “part of the largest effort to combat EBT fraud in United States Secret Service history,”

The Big Apple has pulled the plug on the planned controversial Central Park concert featuring Jew-bashing performer Kehlani — after pressure from City Hall, The Post has learned. The City Park’s Foundation, a taxpayer-funded organization, canceled the Summer Stage benefit concert, which was billed as “PRIDE WITH KEHLANI,” after intense fallout from the announcement, sources said. The move comes just hours after the Adams administration sent a letter to the foundation, which was obtained by The Post, threatening to pull the licenses for all of the summer series’ shows over the concert.

A newly released intelligence assessment has found that some Venezuelan government officials “facilitated” the illegal migration of members of the brutal Venezuelan criminal gang Tren De Aragua into the United States “to advance what they see as the Maduro regime’s goal of destabilizing governments and undermining public safety.” However, while Venezuela’s “permissive environment enables TDA to operate… the Maduro regime probably is not systematically directing Venezuelan outflows, such as to sow chaos in receiving countries,” says the April memo from the National Intelligence Council, released Monday by the ODNI.

common talking point trotted out to defend congressional Republicans’ failure to advance conservative priorities is that the party has slim majorities, and therefore, trying to pass anything outside of the usual “uniparty” slop is next to impossible. But if that’s true, why does the same dynamic exist in states where Republicans have much larger legislative majorities and control the governor’s mansion? On Wednesday, the GOP-controlled Texas House — which is run by liberal Republican Speaker Dustin Burrows — passed a bill that effectively seeks to criminalize the posting and distribution of certain altered media in political advertising.

As President Trump brings manufacturing back to the US — and closes in on trade deals with India, Japan, and South Korea — China’s days as “the world’s factory floor” are numbered. And Beijing is furious. In a move harking back to the Cultural Revolution, Chinese schoolchildren are again being taught to hate the US. Class time is devoted to shouting anti-American slogans like “China must win the China-US trade war!” China’s foreign ministry even released a video claiming that China “won’t kneel down” to the US, warning that bowing to US hegemony would be like drinking poison.

On a podcast few people listen to—the one she does with her brother—she claimed she didn’t attend because she “had nothing to wear.” And the media ate it up as if that explanation made sense, completely ignoring the fact that a former first lady with unlimited resources couldn’t find a dress would be like Donald Trump claiming he doesn’t have enough ties.

President Trump’s landslide victory last November was made possible in no small part by his vision of a new economic Golden Age. For far too long, Americans have been getting ripped off — and Trump is just the man to make it stop. But he will need the entire federal government to bring about this result. Every agency must do its part to repair the damage from four years of the Biden-Harris administration — as well as decades of swamp politicians who got rich while many Americans were left behind. The Federal Trade Commission is leading the way. In the last few weeks,
