Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas appeared to hint that college graduates should be ready to “use a chair” as a weapon during a Sunday commencement address.
Crockett gave the advice to seniors graduating from Tougaloo College, a historically black college located in Jackson, Mississippi, during a roughly 20-minute speech posted on her YouTube page, according to WTJV.com. Crockett told the graduates that they should be ready to use the chairs on people who tell them they “don’t belong.” “There are going to be people that tell you that you don’t belong, and I am here to tell you over and over and over that you absolutely belong,” Crockett said.

Some cities have canceled or severely downplayed Cinco de Mayo events for fear of ICE raids and deportations.
Speaking with CNN on Monday, Chicago resident Hector Escobar, president of the Casa Puebla and Cermak Road Chamber of Commerce, said that people in his community are “very scared” of gathering in public with some even considering going back to Mexico.
“Our people are very scared,” he said. “Honestly, they’re saying they don’t want to go to work. They have to go to work because they have to feed their families. So, if they both were working, now one person is working.”

Donald Trump has announced that he’s reopening Alcatraz as a federal prison for the worst of the worst in America. I couldn’t be more delighted, because it’s a wonderful idea at both practical and symbolic levels.
Trump made the announcement on Truth Social:It’s to be hoped that many of the new residents will be the same Tren de Aragua and MS-13 terrorists that the leftists insist remain on American soil.
The media grimly reported the news, although they hastened to add that it won’t be easy to turn the old site into a modern prison. AP is representative of this approach to reporting:

As President Donald Trump dismantles the deep state, angry Democrats desperately defend their Jan.6, 2021 Capitol riot narrative but beam with pride that they locked up so many Americans.
Mike Romano, a former federal prosecutor at the Department of Justice (DOJ) Public Integrity Section, testified last week at a hearing rehashing Jan. 6, saying he is “proud” of the prosecutions he handled, that imprisoned people present at the Capitol.“Thanks to the work of our team, the Justice Department charged more than 1,500 people with crimes and obtained criminal convictions against almost 1,300 people,” Romano said. “We ensured that the rioters would face accountability, no matter how short-lived.

Another black-robed tyrant has usurped President Trump’s lawful immigration authorities in a fit of anger and arrogance.
As the Associated Press reported, U.S. District Judge Jamal Whitehead, a Biden judge from Seattle, on Monday ordered the Trump administration to admit around 12,000 refugees into America under a court order partially barring the president’s attempts to suspend the nation’s refugee admissions program. At the same time, he ignored the possibility that these refugees could pose a threat to America.
“This Court will not entertain the Government’s result-oriented rewriting of a judicial order that clearly says what it says,”

Newly elected Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney told President Donald Trump that Canada is “not for sale” during a meeting in the Oval Office on Tuesday.
Asked by a reporter about his repeated suggestions that Canada could become the United States’s 51st state, Trump said, “I still believe that, but … it takes two to tango.”
Trump suggested there would be a “lot of advantages” if Canada were to join the U.S., including a “massive tax cut” for Canadians.
“I’m a real estate developer at heart,” he said. “When you get rid of that artificially drawn line

We regret to inform you that another female cop may have just botched a case, and not just any case, a major one… Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old who’s accused of murdering United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, might walk free, not because he’s innocent, but because a female cop allegedly mishandled the search that led to critical evidence being used against him. According to his lawyers, Mangione’s backpack was illegally searched right after police found him at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. Now they’re demanding that everything inside be tossed from the case. And if a judge agrees,

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wants the number of active-duty four-star generals and admirals in the U.S. military to be cut by at least 20 percent, according to a new memo released Monday.
In the order, dated May 5, Hegseth also directed senior Pentagon leadership to slash the number of general officers in the National Guard by a minimum of 20 percent, and cut the total number of general and flag officers — those with the rank of one star or higher — across the military by 10 percent. In a video posted to social media later on Monday, Hegseth announced that the order, which he referred to as “Less Generals, more GIs,”

A 55-year-old Akron woman was arrested May 5 and charged with multiple drug offenses after a raccoon was discovered in her vehicle holding a meth pipe in its mouth, Springfield Township police posted on Facebook.
Officers initially conducted a traffic stop at about 7:15 p.m. after identifying a vehicle whose owner had both an active warrant and a suspended driver's license.
After officers detained the driver, police then discovered a raccoon named "Chewy" sitting in the driver's seat with a meth pipe in its mouth, police reported. Officers further inspected the vehicle after that discovery and ended up finding a "bulk amount" of meth, crack cocaine and three used glass meth pipes.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessell has dropped all charges against seven pro-Palestinian demonstrators arrested last year on the University of Michigan Diag. The seven were facing misdemeanor charges of trespassing as well as felony charges of resisting and obstructing police. (snip) Another factor in her decision, Nessell said, was a letter from the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor, defending Nessell from charges of bias.

In high school, the doomsday scenarios regarding global warming were endless. In 2007, the climate change cult said the Arctic Ice Cap would vanish. It didn’t. When 2013 hit, it gained about 530,000 square miles of ice. Still, the con is on with the Green Left, who claims they were on the verge of total destruction.
In the 1970s, global cooling and North American re-glaciation would imperil humanity. They were wrong then, and they’re wrong now. The Green Movement has been exposed as a backdoor communist push, spearheaded by the wealthy and the elites to screw over further working Americans via intentional economic sabotage.

Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) is heading to Pennsylvania this week to participate in a town hall in the swing county of Bucks County, according to the Democratic National Committee, driving speculation over whether he might be harboring presidential ambitions. Gallego will appear at a state party-hosted town hall Saturday as a part of a broader “Fight to Save Medicaid” initiative as Democrats ramp up pressure on Republicans over the reconciliation package. Medicaid is one of the key issues in the debate over the reconciliation bill. The House Energy and Commerce Committee has been tasked with finding cuts that would save
