Newly elected Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney told President Donald Trump that Canada is “not for sale” during a meeting in the Oval Office on Tuesday.
Asked by a reporter about his repeated suggestions that Canada could become the United States’s 51st state, Trump said, “I still believe that, but … it takes two to tango.”
Trump suggested there would be a “lot of advantages” if Canada were to join the U.S., including a “massive tax cut” for Canadians.
“I’m a real estate developer at heart,” he said. “When you get rid of that artificially drawn line

That's okay, Mr. "Complete Zero" Carney. We don't want to buy Canada anyway.... we'll let you preside over its disintegration instead and add the most desirable pieces when they come to us petitioning for territory status (with statehood possibly down the road). However, the "Laurentian Elite" corridor area of Ontario and Quebec will be expressly excluded.

I guess he’s worried that people will think he’s for sale what with his Epstein issue.
Nobody in the US wants Canada. It may happen in 150 years because of the geographic and human forces at play. But nobody wants to import millions of liberals. We have too many.

Well, Mr. Carney, America isn't going to be screwed by your country any more, which is what this comment was about, so PAY UP--oh, and we'll send you a bill for the last several decades when you weren't paying!

If Alberta decided to secede, Carney will have no say in the matter. He’s just trying to appear “tough” by feeding red meat to his base of lunatic lefties.

'Confront' him with the question "Why does Canada deserve a $250 billion subsidy from the US tax payers year after year? Let's see what his reply is.

Canada has no cards to play in a trade war against the US. Carney's bluster is just that. Their economy is miniscule compared to the US. If Alberta secedes (and they very well might), Canada is finished.
That is why Carney is going cap-in-hand to Trump Trump is willing to negotiate a bi-lateral trade deal outside of current multi-lateral North American trade agreements (read: includes Mexico). US has far more leverage and foar more to gain striking a bi-lat than watered-down, loophole-exploitive multi-lateral trade agreements.

Art Carney (yes, taken from the 1950s show, the Honeymooners), please welcome President Trump to the inside of your head. I'm sure there is plenty of room.

Silly rabbit.
We won't need to buy anything.
Provinces like Alberta will break off from Canada & join US under a real Constitution to get away from you & you're abuse of their rich resources.

Carney has the support of 30% of Canadians, so his voice is not loud, and that support is tentative.

Alberta wants to leave Canada now. Add them and British Columbia and the Yukon will follow along, That's a start, then work east, for a couple more. Ontario and Quebec are the liberal morons in Canada, let them stay.

Canadians don't get Trump any better than the media does. Just like the media here they misunderstand when Trump is just screwing with them. Trump was never interested in making Canada a state. He just wanted to make the argument that Canadians would be better off being a U.S. state than being run by a little communist idiot like Trudeau.

#9: You're insulting (the memory of) Art Carney by linking him to that leader from a country to our north. Art is best known for playing Ed Norton in the 1950s (and I only saw reruns years later), but I think his best role was as the Deacon in the 1975 movie "WW and Dixie Dancekings" which starred Burt Reynolds. The Deacon was a very serious-minded Southern preacher who was also a rural sheriff that tracked WW (Reynolds' character), a lovable con-man, until he had him at gun-point at around midnight on a Saturday... at which point the Deacon let him go because Sunday had arrived and he felt compelled to cease working as a cop by Divine order...

Mr. Carney is His Britannic Majesty’s Canadian Prime Minister, so he had to oppose Trump’s public efforts to pick Canada apart. Canada has a total population of about 41 million people, while the USA has a population approaching 340 million people. So you can see how things will go in the future!

He probably asked the Trump team if he could appear tough to save face. "Please, Mr. President, you gotta give me something." Did you see how the Trump team was mad dogging Carney during the presser? They looked like, "If he says something stupid, please call on me, Mr. President, to respond."

IMHO 73.6% of Canadians and 97.3% of Americans couldn't care less what Mark Carney has to say! Only the parasites in Quebec and Ontario give a S*** about Mark!

I was amused at Trump's response to Carney's statement that Canada would never be for sale.
"Never say never."

I don't know as anyone offered to buy Canada. I definitely do not want another flock of leftist twits with the right to vote being dumped on us. It is about to reveal its status as a failed nation state under another leftoid administration. I might be willing to consider taking in Alberta, but Canadian conservatives are not like MAGA conservatives in the US.
