Democrats were in faux outrage mode in the wake of a report by Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic that he was mistakenly included in a chat on Signal with senior Trump administration officials discussing a planned military strike on Houthi rebels in Yemen. Goldberg described the chat as containing “classified” information; however, that is untrue.
So while this wasn’t the scandal that Democrats hoped it would be, the big question that remains is how Goldberg ended up in the chat on Signal in the first place.
According to President Trump, they know that it was a staffer of National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

Whomever it is, find him/her, immediately fire the individual, and then move on.

Whoever did this needs to go. Publicly and never have a job with any responsibility again! Unless it was an honest mistake by an intern, which would be very hard to believe

It would seem that this staffer needs to be working somewhere else.

i gather from Waltz's comments on Ingraham's show that Goldberg's number was attached to the name of someone else on the listing. the person he
thought he included was not. i am sure IT can figure out who engineered that if that is ultimately what happened.

From the article: "The president expressed confidence in his team, saying he was not frustrated by the events leading up to The Atlantic's story. The situation, Trump said, was "the only glitch in two months, and it turned out not to be a serious one."
While I do not want to be overly critical, I am still concerned that Mike Waltz is a weak link. I understand he is taking full responsibility. I hope that means he is getting his act together COMPLETELY. I hope he is learning from his mistake and being overly cautious with Democrat friends. . .

This looks like an inside job to fill the old news air time with useless verklempt commentary. Soon the old news will resurrect ,"The walls are closing in" phrase on all "Signalgate" people involved and the breathless old media will fan their vapors on air in disbelief of this catastrophe. The echo chamber of this useless story will continue adding energy and repeating the story until it becomes background noise that will be used for sleep therapy.

I am wondering if this was a deliberate ploy to expose a traitor. Like signaling 'AT' has water tank problems during the Battle of Midway.

Regardless of whether or not they did this accidently or intentionally, they need to be reassigned. Just as a matter of security.

“So that we're clear, one of the first things that happened when I was confirmed as CIA director was Signal was loaded onto my computer at, uh, the CIA, as it is for most CIA officers,” Ratcliffe said in sworn testimony Tuesday. “Um, one of the things that I was briefed on very early, senator, was by the CIA records management folks about—about the use of Signal as a permissible work use. It is. That is a practice that preceded the current administration to the Biden administration.”
Maybe it wasn't a staffer, maybe it's the actual Signal app, especially since it was 0bama's, I mean Biden's CIA that did the installing.

This whole overblown error was almost worth it to see the usual suspects in the media and Congress turning red, shouting and displaying bulging veins of outrage on their stupid faces. Biden, Austin and Milley's $85 billion weapons giveaway in Afghanistan with hundreds of deaths and embarrassment in front of the entire world didn't receive a fraction of this attention or reaction. The actual stolen classified documents stacked in Biden's garage were ignored.

I read that the Atlantic editor contact information was already on the Signal app originating with the Biden administration. The staffer thought the initials were for someone else. So my questions is: Why was the Atlantic or any other media outlet saved as a contact in the intelligence communities Signal app to begin with?

It's not a good look for the first administration leak to come from the office of the Director of National Security. The person responsible does not belong in the NSA office, if they don't know who they are sending emails to. That would hardly meet what I would think would be a higher bar for working in the NSA office.

After reading several more articles and comments about this situation, I am wondering if I was premature in my above comments. If true, Signal App is something that came to fruition during the Obama administration and continued with the Biden administration. That explains quite a bit for me and enough said. . .

Apparently Signal is used by government and the press. Absolute insanity. Enough talk. Get rid of Signal and have Elon and the boys make an acceptable app for ONLY administration use.

If an aide or intern included Goldberg on the text, firing is not enough. Other "moles" need a clear indication what will happen to them if/when they pull any of this stuff.

This was no accident. Fire the person immediately. They knew exactly what they were doing and they knew exactly who this Trump hating whack job Goldberg was. Just like Trump's first term, there are a lot of democratic spies floating around on people's staffs. It's early yet, get rid of them now to prevent further regrets.

Have all of Biden's staffers been replaced or are they too, permanent and can't be fired? If there's one, there are more.

Perhaps this can be viewed as a blessing, in that it was exposed early on in a less consequential matter, and procedures can be taken to correct the problem before more consequential matters arise. I have no doubt there have been many things put in place through the years to help leftists ‘transform’ this country.
Goldberg is intimating that he has much more information that he could make public if he chooses. Hopefully, the extent to which he might have had access to other information, and what kind, is available to the administration, and his enjoyment of the limelight will be ended soon.

I'm with you #21. President Trump has inherited moles in his administration and we are soon seeing them one by one. What I want to know now President Trump is exposing JFK and other stories, how about telling us who in the Supreme Court orbit exposed the Supreme Court's decision on Roe vs. Wade.
