West-Coast Judges Say Trump Admin Must
Take In Refugees and Pay for Their Housing

“We welcome this continued relief for tens of thousands of refugees who will now have the opportunity to restart their lives in the United States,” said Melissa Keaney, the progressive lawyer for the elite-funded, anti-borders International Refugee Assistance Project. In a second courtroom in Seattle, another federal judge ordered the Trump administration to keep paying the quasi-government agencies that settle the refugees in Americans’ crowded housing, schools, and workplaces, such as in Springfield, Ohio.

Basta! Now these "judges" are attempting to usurp power from both the Executive and Legslative (power of the purse) branches. Time for an Andrew Jackson moment... from both branches...

These judges (and their puppet masters) know these decisions will never be upheld on appeal, even if they go all the way to SCOTUS. They just want to throw as many roadblocks in Trump’s agenda as possible for as long as they can. Lawfare at its worst.

Time for the Speaker of the House to put words into action. I would think a concerted effort to deal with what is clearly an effort to deny the executive branch the right to carry out its duties is it sees a need. It is hardly "good behavior" to usurp the power of the executive branch. Moreover, these district courts are flat out rebelling and throwing off the restriction on the jurisdiction.

One evening about twenty years ago, at the height of my shortwave radio zeal, I was sitting at my desk tuning in Deutsche Welle’s (DW) English broadcast. That night, the well-known German public radio service was airing a program on the use of data from the Dachau Hypothermia Experiments, data they said would be used in modern medical research. I was shocked. It felt like a shadowy figure from a damp corner of a Nazi death camp had crept through the airwaves into my safe little radio cubby.

For years, the Democratic political figures, liberal activists, and the resistance movement writ large have drawn morbid comfort from the fact that Donald Trump’s supporters were, frankly, quite old. The Trump phenomenon, they believed, had an expiration date sometime in the near future: Young voters would replace their parents and grandparents as demographics shifted, and all would be right — or rather, left — with the world. The 2024 election has shattered these hopes. Trump’s gains with young people are so massive that Gen Z might as well be called Gen Trump. Data guru David Shor laid bare this stark reality in an interview with The New York Times’ Ezra Klein last week;

More migrants are fleeing into Canada across the border than are coming south into the US after President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration, sources told The Post. Homeland Security sources said that there are “lots of northbounders” now running scared and “self-deporting” from the US with Trump back in office. In a remote stretch of Washington state, border agents report seeing an average of five migrants crossing illegally north into Canada each day. The numbers were starting to pick up even before the Trump administration began in full force.

Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food got me through untold breakups in college. Drowning my sorrows in a pint was a great consolation prize for my heartbreak. But in 2021, I soured on the brand when it announced plans to stop selling its ice cream in what it referred to as the “Occupied Palestinian Territory.” Its hostility to Israeli policy grew even more poisonous after Oct. 7. The good news? Recent pushback by critics — and consumers — prompted B&J’s parent company, Unilever, to respond, just as other companies have been shedding their DEI and woke images. And that’s major grounds for hope.
