Dem Rep. Kaptur: Dems Don’t Have a Plan
for Economic Progress

During portions of an interview with NPR aired on Monday’s broadcast of “All Things Considered,” Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) declared that Democrats “better shape up and put together a plan for progress, starting in the places that have fallen behind where people are voting for change simply because the economy is not working for them.” And that those voters voted for Donald Trump because they knew where they live isn’t great. Kaptur said, “They heard President Trump say, Make America Great Again. That was something they want to do, and they know where they live isn’t. They’ve seen factories

They have a plan. Tell everyone everything is great, while they grift $, launder money through wars and “programs” to help the “victim” of the moment, while soaking the taxpayers and making everyone’s economic equally poor. Except, of course, them and their friends.

When all is said and done, 90-% of Americans are living damned good, but they also have a brain, and they know that we cannot go on abusing our credit card. 36 Trillion dollars is owed. Last year we paid out 1 TRILLION dollars in interest. Our revenue this year is estimated to be about 5 1/2 trillion dollars. We will spend that and more and add to the debt again this year. Our Credit Card is maxed out and if it keeps up we will be bankrupt and everyone will be sucking hind tit. I don't like what Musk is doing, but I thank god someone is doing it. Republicans don't have much more plan then the democrats do, but at least they are doing SOMETHING. We HAVE to stop passing out money to every country and every person and every illegal, with a sob story. We have to stop paying people who are perfectly capable of working to sit on their asses at home. I donate to charities I donate time and money, I give to the Church and they help people, but I pick my charities, and I don't borrow money so I can give. That is what we are doing in this country and it has to stop. Donald Trump cannot solve this in 4 years he can't remove the debt in 4 years but he and Musk are the first ones to even try.

Absolutely agree with #1; they have a plan for THEIR economic progress but do not care one bit about the country or the voters who elected (and I use that term loosely) them into office. They are governing for themselves only and if they destroy the country in the process that's only icing on their cake. However, time is just about up for these criminals and I think they know it.

Kaptur cries that factories have closed. Why is that? Trump's policies have not taken effect yet. Closures are the result of the 4 years of the Biden economy and policies. However, Kaptur is right that Democrats have no economic plan, ither than to oppose everything that Trump proposes.

They just have the same, unchanging agenda. The only thing that changes is when the economy is slow they claim the agenda will improve the economy. When the economy is strong, they simply place as many straws of the agenda on the economy camel's back as they think it will bear.

The Democrat Party exists for two purposes. One, perpetuate their hold on power by legal or illegal means. Two, use (or abuse) that power to enrich their members and supporters at public expense. Economic progress exists only as a facade for electioneering.

Without question there are people are voting for change because the economy is not working for them but that is not the only reason; there are reasons Progressives seemingly consider sacrosanct and persist in full-throttle support be it funding or legislation that many parents, senior citizens, people of faith, and patriotic Americans reject. Ms. Kaptur is “currently in her 22nd term, she has been a member of Congress since 1983. A member of the Democrat Party, [she] is the longest-serving woman in congressional history (having surpassed Barbara Mikulski in 2023) and is the dean of Ohio’s congressional delegation.” (Wikipedia) Based on her decades in Congress, she has been a participant in shaping and supporting the Democrat Party so bears a measure of responsibility for whatever and wherever the Democrat Party is at this point in time.

The base is about six miles from the border with Belarus — a staunch Russian ally, and comes at a time of ratcheting tensions in the region. The 2-1 ruling was handed down two days after a contentious hearing before the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, in which the Justice Department tried to lift a 14-day stay imposed by DC US District Judge James Boasberg. During the hearing, Judge Patricia Millett harshly questioned the Trump Justice Department about its handling of the deportations — at one point saying, “Nazis got better treatment under the Alien Enemies Act [during World War II] than has happened here.”
