California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed two bills Friday providing $50 million to fight President Donald Trump’s policies — after returning from a trip to Washington, DC, where he sought federal aid money for recent wildfires in his state.
Both bills were passed after a special legislative session called by Newsom after the election to prepare California to lead the opposition to the second Trump administration. Newsom and the Democrat-controlled legislature reached a deal to fund the anti-Trump effort even as the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire were still smoldering in Los Angeles.

It’s a cliche: but his stupidity is breathtaking.
And, I’ll wager, he will find out PDJT “don’t play.”

Imagine what $50 million -- spend on fire preparedness and countermeasure against wildfires -- would have done to preserve property destroyed in the LA area. Priorities,Californians, priorities...

There's nothing like punching yourself in the face. Newscum can't help it, he has such a punchable face. The movie stars should be made to wait at least twice as long as the people around Asheville did since they hate Trump so much and were so insanely vocal about it.

Any and ALL aid to California should be STOPPED immediately with the advent of any Court filing challenging the President.

No federal aid/assistance should go to the state of California. However, any assistance to citizens should be paid to them directly. No middle men taking their cuts.

#2 posts exactly what I was planning to do. That 50 million would certainly help a lot of the victims of the fires that he caused by his incompetence and woke stupidity. It's no wonder that people are fleeing California. Those leaving are taxpayers, They aren't the homeless bums squatting on sidewalks and helping to ruin once great cities. The state is already 48 billion in the red, and that tool Newsome is blowing more money on fighting Federal law. Just a few months ago, the left was chanting, "no one is above the law" when they were using lawfare against PDJT.

There must have been a time when California was not bat feces insane. It hasn't been in my lifetime. Maybe sometime in pre-history. In any case, one can safely bet that whatever they do concerning any subject, it will be wrong.

Maybe Newsom doesn’t want Trump’s help. Maybe he wants people to leave so, as he’s already said publicly, he and his chums can “reimagine” the whole state - for their own benefit.

FTA:
One bill, SBX1-1, provides for “additional funding to be made available to the Department of Justice for litigation challenges of federal policy. The other, SBX1-2, provides funding for “legal services to vulnerable persons at risk of detention, deportation, [or] eviction” — in other words, to illegal aliens. Both were introduced by State Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco).
The bills were passed earlier this week. Newsom waited until his visit in Washington was over, and until a Friday afternoon — when many people have left work and are less likely to notice the news — to sign the spending into law.
Scott Wiener again. He and Newsom appear to be likethis. May they go down in infamy together.

Newscum is a political animal...he will do anything and say anything to forward his career....this is just the latest example of his desperate attempt to not be seen as the villain he is...the fact that Los Angeles had NO water is undeniable...it was his fault...and no amount of strutting around and promising help will change that...and the Californians who lost everything are being set up by newscum for his run for president in 2028....

Newsom got himself into a little bit of a pickle here. Any funds the State of California gets their hands on will have strings attached and will be heavily audited. He is very resourceful that way. Newsom will be humiliated. He picked the wrong person to mess with.

Conservatives should immediately go to a conservative judge and get a stay order ----- like the left does on every executive order of Trump. The Governor can authorize and allocate funds at whim?
