Raskin: Wake Up Americans — This Is
a ‘Rapidly Expanding and Accelerating Coup’

Original Article

Posted By: sagman, 2/8/2025 2:38:48 PM

Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) claimed Friday on MSNBC’s “The Reid Out” that Elon Musk and President Donald Trump were conducting a “rapidly expanding and accelerating coup.” Raskin said, “If the courts move with dispatch, they might be able to prevent a lot of damage from being inflicted. But nobody should normalize what’s going on here. We’ve got the wealthiest man in the world who cannot be president because he was born in apartheid South Africa and then made his way to Canada and then to America because he can’t be president, except if he can buy himself a de facto presidency . . .

Comments:

Rich, oh so rich. This boob is claiming Trump and Musk are leading a coup against the unelected bureaucrats who have been spending America into oblivion without oversight, without accountability until now. I mean, can he really believe what he's saying? Well, yes. Dems are unmoored from reality these days.

The Raccoon doeth protest in vain. There is no coup. 47 was legally elected. DOGE is finding government abuse of funds. That's all it can do. Point out the corruption. It's up to the Executive Branch and Congress to handle the abuse. It appears that the Raccoon has had his paws into the USAID slush fund.

I smell new talking points. Instead of an insurrection, it's now a coup. Looters gotta loot, and anything to protect their loot. It remains to be seen how much of Washington goes along with this. They are all complicit in trillions wasted. They got rich in the process. Just remember, neither party is on the side of the American people.

All this lying by the Democrats is tactical. They are desperate to keep in chains only those still left to them. They cannot convince independents, conservatives and thinking people with their constant lies. But these lies are all they have left. And the liberal media lose viewers by the minute and cannot stop either. Eventually truth will prevail.

Jamie, you would consider it a coup since you've been undercover deep state subversives running the country and stealing our money to do so. So okay, call it a coup. You're admitting that your shadow government is being overthrown. Our focus is on you criminals, not Elon. You hate that Elon is smarter than you. But, any goat on a farm is smarter than all you incompetents. As President Trump says, you're failures. Embrace that fact and you might find your way back from the pit of hell you've descended into. Maybe.

Coup: a sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government. Raskin is very stupid, unethical and corrupt. Trump is the elected president, is head of the Bxecutive branch and is thus not seizing power from anyone. But because he is "auditing" agencies of the Executive Branch, and ignoring the wailing of those in Congress who have failed to do their main job, i.e. a budget, they have lost their power and that is what they are wailing about. Especially all our tax dollars that have gone through USAID, NED and other organizations that money launder it back to the democrats who are now being cut off. But Raskin is an unethical liar (like most democrats) and is wailing because his power is being taken away from him and the democrats.

words mean things. If you look up "coup", it is French for 'blow or stroke'. I'd say that what Trump is doing is a blow or stroke against the corrupt Deep State and they are freaking out that their money flows, their grift has been discovered and is being cut off. Elections have consequences and this may be one of the MOST consequential elections in a very long time.

Since When did Jamie start to listen to Steve Bannon? I think the Democrats are so startled that Trump, and Elon Musk, are racing along at Breakneck Speed, that they can't get a grip on what is happening to their World. Just wait until Trump fires half the Work Force, shuts down all kinds of Federal Buildings and puts out a list of all the money that was funneled into members of Congress. I'm thinking we're going to see a Stampede of Members who are going to head for cover so they don't wind up in Jail! Get the Popcorn ready, should be a good Show!

Reskin - “rapidly expanding and accelerating coup.” No, a coup is more in line with what the Democrats have attempted, and still continue to attempt. As to the action being taken by Trump and his administration, it can’t move fast enough for the majority of Americans who provided the overwhelming mandate for President Trump to keep his promises and do what he is doing. It’s interesting that more and more people are awakening to how they have been duped by Democrats for so many years. They are thankful that Trump was elected, even though they didn’t vote for him. That tells me they surely would have voted for him if they had known then what they know now. I pray that more and more eyes are opened, and more people come to see the tremendous harm that has been done to our country by the embedded deep state, and that they get to appreciate and enjoy all that America can be. Raskin hightails it to the ReidOut on MSDNC ~ a network bleeding viewers to bleat about a "coup". Sorta similar to someone scampering off to CBS to discuss what's happening to USAID with Stephen Colbert. IOW he's being heard by tens of viewers rather than thousands much less millions. It would make more sense to just scream it to the sky. The memes that would be created would reach more eyes and ears than what he discussed withJoyless Reid.

There’s a famous quote on the subject of judicial power — that is, real judicial power, and not just the imagined kind that we’ve grown accustomed to accepting in a legalistic society. It comes courtesy — though we’re told it’s an apocryphal quotation — of Andrew Jackson, our 7th president. Jackson was informed of the Supreme Court’s decision in an 1832 case, Worcester v. Georgia, which involved a complicated set of circumstances by which a missionary to the Cherokee Nation was imprisoned for violating a state law that he claimed was non-binding on sovereign Indian territory.

The Monday headline on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the New York Times said, unintentionally, exactly what is wrong with the GOP Establishment’s response to former President Donald Trump. The headline: DeSantis Bluntly Acknowledges Trump’s 2020 Defeat: ‘Of Course He Lost’ The Times reports this: Mr. DeSantis, who is polling well behind Mr. Trump for the Republican presidential nomination, had acknowledged on Friday that the former president’s false theories about a rigged 2020 election were “unsubstantiated.” Say what? Of course, Ron DeSantis can come back and win. Anybody in the race can win – we saw Trump come back in 2016 when most everyone wrote him off in the general. Now it’s the Florida governor’s turn to be written off, but he’s not exactly in the same place that Trump was. DeSantis is a strong second right now. For him, it’s not a matter of a miracle happening, threading a bunch of needles to win the general when rational betters would bet against you like in 2016. No, Ron DeSantis has a plan, and there’s a method to his muddling through.

Faced with a historically unpopular president overseeing a weak economy and promoting left-wing “Bidenomics,” Republicans have a golden opportunity in 2024. The election couldn’t be more winnable. And the only thing that should matter for Republicans is actually winning it. While there is a sense that Donald Trump has become a frontrunner in the Republican primaries, there is just as much of a sense that he can’t win a general election—not anymore. Here's the hard truth: If Trump secures the Republican nomination, Joe Biden will be re-elected. But, if Ron DeSantis becomes the nominee, then the Democrats have little to no chance.

The supporters of former President Trump are absolutely correct about one thing. If every single Republican pledged their allegiance to him and fell in line he’d win the nomination easily. But he’d also lose the general election, again. He does not receive enough support from outside the traditional Republican and MAGA base to win in 2024. Hillary Clinton beat Trump by roughly 3 million in the popular vote in 2016. While Trump indeed did win the election by taking the required 270 electoral votes, just a few thousand votes in each of the key swing states would have changed that outcome into a Hillary Clinton landslide victory in 2016.
