In a bombshell revelation that could shake the foundations of American healthcare, Elon Musk, leading the charge under President Trump’s newly minted Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has uncovered what he describes as a staggering “$100B of taxpayer money” wasted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
On Wednesday, Musk’s team, along with two senior veterans from the agency, has been meticulously reviewing the CMS’s payment and contracting systems, which are crucial for managing health insurance for approximately one in every four Americans, according to far-left USA Today.
“CMS has two senior Agency veterans – one focused on policy and one focused on operations –

Wonder if they had negotiated a deal where Elon gets to keep a percentage, say 0.01%? The sums of money involved is staggering.

Can the USA expect the improper payments will be repaid?
Remember, if the i r s decides that you owe them money, you end up paying it back the next year. No discusson.

$40 billion here (USAID) and $100 billion there (Medi-Fraud) and pretty soon you're talking about real money.
Grifters are going to be freaking out along with their Dem buddies......who are also grifters.

If this much money could be properly spent on legitimate heath care, it would be a blessing to everyone. Even congress critters could find joy because they wouldn't have to reduce their spending.

And yet some doctors and large medical systems are not taking new medicare patients. Also one of those large systems that also had supplemental insurance for medicare got out of the medicare business this year here in Iowa.

It's generally accepted that one in four dollars are wasted by Medicare and Medicaid by fraud.

I believe that President Trump needs to issue a State of Emergency immediately. He needs to get to the airwaves, all cable, radio, internet, EVERY single outlet there is in America and tell the American People what is happening and how he is going to stop it. Personally, I think he has to tell the People that effective immediately, he is going to put an 6-8% VAT tax on everything, and stop all Income taxes across the board. Dismantle the IRS completely. Start arresting those who gave our money away to narfairious groups around the world and charge them with treason.

I love how the Democrats whine about DOGE being "unelected". Somehow they missed that NONE of the IT staffs at these agencies were elected either.
And the agency I am particularly waiting for to see fully audited is Social Security!!! The illegals were imported to specifically bankrupt Social Security. Go, DOGE, go!

I believe that medicare and medicaid contributed to the rise of healthcare costs. I remember when medicare was new. At that time, almost no one had health insurance. You could go to your doctor with almost any ailment and he'd fix you right there in his office. If you needed medicine most times he would give it to you himself. Charge you 8 dollars for the entire trip. THEN came medicare. Suddenly, people were going to doctors and not having to pay for it themselves. Suddenly it didnt matter what healthcare cost.
Since then doctors, pharmacies and every other facet of healthcare prices have gone thru the roof, who cares, medicare or health insurance pays for it, almost everyone now having health insurance cause after seeing medicare pay for other peoples bills, workers now insisted on their employers carrying health insurance on them!

Finding it was easy. Removing it from the budget is a whole other story. Don’t get too excited over headline grabbing wins from the DOGE team. They mean well but you can’t dynamite wasteful spending in Washington. They’ll be fighting both Parties.

I am a senior and enjoy my coverage by medicare and social security which I earned from age 14 at my first job....but...I've been a little suspicious about biden's government calling me at home telling me to take covid shots and flu shots and pneumonia shots....the big Pharma companies are losing their connection to the government...now that President Trump is in charge and our wonderful Bobby is checking out the health of our country....

At no cost to my wife, Medicare paid 3k$ for her wheelchair - that she didn't even need. Amazon sells the exact same wheelchair delivered to the door for $157. Medicare does not even bat an eye at the huge overcharging. If you contact them about it they will assure you you don't have to pay anything out of your pocket. Except for the unnecessarily high monthly Medicare premiums.
