Heartbroken family and friends moved to identify the growing number of victims after a terrorist suspect plowed a car into a large crowd in New Orleans on New Year's.
The suspect, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, was "hell-bent on creating the carnage and damage that he did," New Orleans police chief Anne Kirkpatrick said.
"It was very intentional behavior," the superintendent of police said. "This man was trying to run over as many people as he possibly could." At least 15 people were killed in the Wednesday morning suspected terrorist attack, and dozens others injured, the FBI said.
New Orleans Coroner Dr. Dwight McKenna said in a statement late Wednesday that they will release

DOVER, Del.—It was her last day in session as a Delaware state senator, and Sarah McBride sat in her tiny office at the state Capitol, preparing farewell remarks.
She had made history here, as the first openly transgender state senator in the country. Now she was making history again, recently elected as the first openly transgender member of Congress.
Her political promotion has come during a reckoning for transgender rights, when legislation in Republican-governed states around the country aims to curb their advance. During an election where a deluge of campaign ads and politicians demeaned trans people, McBride still easily won her blue state’s only seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Authorities are investigating the Tesla Cybertruck explosion that occurred outside Trump Las Vegas hotel Wednesday as a possible act of terror, The Post has learned.
Wild surveillance footage shared on social media shows the electric pickup truck suddenly burst into flames, blowing the vehicle to smithereens around 8:40 a.m. local time. Shattered glass, metal paneling, and other debris could be seen flying in all directions.
A plume of eerie smoke then engulfed the outside of the hotel while the Cybertruck was left as a fiery wreck. (Photos) Officials said at least seven bystanders suffered minor injuries in the explosion and the driver, who pulled the truck into the valet area

In the wake of the deadly New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans, Louisiana’s attorney general said she hoped the Sugar Bowl would get delayed an extra day.
The College Football Playoff game between Georgia and Notre Dame was originally scheduled for Wednesday but was pushed back one day after at least 15 people were killed — including a former Princeton football star — after a truck plowed through Bourbon Street as revelers celebrated at around 3:15 a.m.
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill told “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” on Wednesday night that she would have preferred the football game get delayed at least until Friday.

Authorities are investigating a Tesla Cybertruck explosion on Wednesday outside the Trump Las Vegas hotel in Nevada as a possible act of terror, law enforcement officials said.
Sheriff Kevin McMahill of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told reporters that investigators were looking into any possible connections to the deadly attack in New Orleans earlier Wednesday but had not yet discovered any. The driver of the Cybertruck pulled into the valet area of the hotel and the vehicle exploded, according to an official. The driver was killed and, so far, is the only fatality from the incident. Seven bystanders had minor injuries, authorities said.

On Tuesday afternoon, to celebrate the end of 2024, the DNC official account put out a collage of four photos of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to commemorate "Some of our favorite moments from 2024." While the DNC may have found some moments to celebrate, the American people still suffered under the Biden-Harris administration for 2024. Among the photos included Biden during his February appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," a picture of Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, Biden with Olympians, and Harris taking to a stage with the words "TRUST WOMEN," clearly in the background, no doubt a reference to abortion.

Protective barriers intended to prevent terrorist attacks along New Orleans’ Bourbon Street were being replaced and were not set up when a truck fatally plowed into New Year’s revelers early Wednesday.
The stainless-steel bollards were removed in November as part of an overhaul of the security system, Nola.com reported. That overhaul was due to take three months, and was brought on by what French Quarter Management District head Bob Simms called an “ineffective” old system.
“The track was always full of crap, beads and doubloons and God knows what else. Not the best idea,” Simms told Nola.com. “Eventually everybody realized the need to replace them. They’re in the process of doing that,

As President Joe Biden concludes his final year in office and prepares to hand the reins over to Donald Trump, he leaves behind an increasingly unstable world stage.
Tensions in Europe, the Middle East and East Asia have only increased towards the end of 2024, with U.S. adversaries making big moves as Biden quietly fades from the world stage. As Trump takes office, foreign policy fires he will have to contend with include the years-long war in Ukraine, the Israel-Hamas War, the freshly-ignited Syrian civil war and an increasingly aggressive China that’s hellbent on solidifying its position as the U.S.’ greatest adversary, economically and militarily.

HOUSTON — The terrorist who killed 15 people when he plowed his truck down crowded Bourbon Street in New Orleans was an American-born military veteran who was living in a run-down trailer park where he kept sheep and goats in the yard — just blocks away from the local mosque.

Perhaps the real message of last November’s election is not that Donald Trump won, but that woke progressivism lost. After all, though Trump has flaws, he at least lives in the real world and not in some ideological fantasy. It is also fairly likely that, in the four years since he left office, he has improved his presidential abilities. For example: He is less likely to be so easily goaded into overreacting to his critics… also known as taking the bait.
Meanwhile, the spoiled children of the Left are running around convinced that their hair is on fire. Some are digging foxholes while others are drifting towards the center.

While initial reports regarding the explosion of a Tesla cybertruck in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, Wednesday morning left open the possibility that the incident was a malfunction with the vehicle itself, it appears we can now rule that out.
Not only have officials confirmed they're investigating the incident as a possible act of terror, but Elon Musk has confirmed his team's diagnostics indicate all systems on the truck checked out prior to the explosion, and it appears the explosion was caused by fireworks and/or a bomb. We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb

Looking back over this year, and really the last eight years, perhaps the oddest observation is the degree to which the media was apparently motivated by one thing: if Trump said it, it must be wrong!
I started thinking about that this morning when Jonathan Turley observed the degree to which the media and the conventional wisdom combined to suppress and even explicitly censor the theory that SARS-CoV-2, the “COVID virus,” originated in a lab leak.
The whole history of theories of the origin of COVID-19 was full of people announcing with absolute certainty that it originated in one particular way, generally with limited data.

More pure idiocy from green pushers spread by the complicit media, via Yahoo News:
Climate change is making plants less nutritious − that could already be hurting animals that are grazers
More than one-third of all animals on Earth, from beetles to cows to elephants, depend on plant-based diets. Plants are a low-calorie food source, so it can be challenging for animals to consume enough energy to meet their needs. Now climate change is reducing the nutritional value of some foods that plant eaters rely on.
Human activities are increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and raising global temperatures. As a result, many plants are growing faster across ecosystems worldwide.

The moral laws of each tradition -- that of the Torah and Sharia – when applied -- result in different outcomes. Most of the punishments specified in the Torah are no longer practiced. According to Sharia, however, punishments such as amputations or stoning to death for adultery, "especially women" – which can include pre-marital sex or having been raped -- as well as death for blasphemy or for choosing to leave the religion, are in force to this day.

After the Georgia Court of Appeals disqualified Fulton County, Ga., District Attorney Fani Willis from prosecuting her grandstanding Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) case against Donald Trump, she is appealing the decision to the Georgia Supreme Court. One state official is publicly calling out this decision. Attorney General Chris Carr, a Republican, took to X to criticize Willis’ appeal. He also urged the state’s highest court to refuse to take her appeal.
“The Georgia Court of Appeals has ruled that the Fulton County DA created her own conflict and rightfully removed her from the case against President-elect Trump,” Carr posted.

The Biden administration’s toxic legacy continues to do grave harm to Americans and the national interest; the latest outrage is the renewed likelihood that the 9/11 masterminds will avoid the death penalty.
On Monday, an appeals court tossed Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s move to quash plea deals offered to Khalid Sheik Mohammed and co-conspirators Walid bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi.
Those deals were signed in July by senior defense official and retired Brig.-Gen. Susan Escallier, an Austin appointee to the Office of Military Commissions.

A Virginia man, Brad Spafford, 36, was arrested earlier this month after authorities discovered what they claim is the largest stockpile of homemade explosives in FBI history.
Spafford, who reportedly used images of Joe Biden for target practice, is being labeled by federal agents as an “extreme danger to the community.”
During a search of Spafford’s 20-acre property, authorities found over 150 homemade explosive devices, including pipe bombs labeled as “lethal.”

Joe Biden headed back from his umpteenth vacation on Tuesday.
Biden was coming back from yet another luxury vacation in St. Croix, where he's been since Thursday. He was staying at the beachfront resort home of billionaire supporters Bill and Connie Neville. He's come under fire before for not declaring the free stays on his ethical forms. Yet you barely see any mainstream media attention to this. He was questioned by reporters once when he ventured out for church on Saturday. It looked like the Secret Service agent who was with him helped him understand what was being asked of him, and his son Hunter, who was also there,

A commander in Hamas’s elite Nukhba force, who led the attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7, 2023 terror onslaught, was killed in a recent drone strike, the military and Shin Bet say. According to the IDF, the terrorist Abd al-Hadi Sabah, commander of the Nukhba platoon in Hamas’s West Khan Younis Battalion, was killed in a strike in the Israeli-designated humanitarian zone in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza. The IDF says Sabah was among those who led the invasion into Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023, during which terrorists kidnapped and murdered dozens.

Trump, 78, told reporters ahead of a New Year’s Eve party at his Mar-a-Lago estate that he was invited to the 39th president’s state funeral in Washington, DC, which is scheduled to take place on Jan. 9.
“I do. I’ll be there. We were invited,” Trump said about his plans for the Carter funeral, with his wife Melania standing by his side. (Photo)
The president-elect, wearing a black-tie tuxedo, was coy when asked if he had spoken to any members of the Carter family.

Can’t rain on their ball drop.
Thunderstorms didn’t dampen the spirits in Times Square on New Year’s Eve as thousands of revelers rang in 2025 with a bang.
As the festive masses waited in anticipation for the clock to strike midnight, a group of a dozen or so partiers, including Tiffany Lopez of the Bronx, danced to salsa with the raindrops pouring down Tuesday night. (Photo) “I’m from New York. And it’s an epic experience — something a New Yorker never does,” Lopez, 41, said gleefully. “You’re in the middle of Times Square. And it’s raining and people are so happy.”
