North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper (D) commuted death sentences for 15 inmates on his last day in office. On Tuesday Cooper announced that he has commuted the sentences of 15 people on death row in North Carolina to life without the possibility of parole after a thorough review of detailed petitions for clemency. “These reviews are among the most difficult decisions a Governor can make and the death penalty is the most severe sentence that the state can impose,”

Sad that the public will have to pay to keep these scum alive for years longer.

There are ways of dealing with these democrat pardons that very well might end up eliminating the killers anyway. Send them to the worst prisons we have in the system, at some point they will tick off some other lifer and wind up getting the death penalty in an inmate scuffle. Another tactic would be to contract with some third world country that doesn't share our humanity, to house these former death row inmates. Let them get a taste of the harsher prison life of the third world. At some point another inmate will deliver the ultimate punishment.

Funny how politicians never make these decisions before an election, eh? Always after.

Democrats love to kill babies, but not dangerous killers. Why?

Some of those murderers that “biden” commuted their death sentences have already asked to be released from prison. It’s really just a matter of time before another commie comes along and lets them out.

I'm beginning to wonder if we are seeing the slow phasing out of the death penalty.

Governor Gomer was radicalized by the commie Dems just like these recent terrorists were radicalized by Islam. If you think Governor Gomer was bad, wait til Stein gets his mess going. But the RINO General assembly leadership stifles any real conservative in a primary. There is not one conservative in the NC GA thanks to Moore and Berger. Both of those guys are just like Tilli$$. They control the inner workings of the NC GOP and its rules and its convention.

Cooper, you dim fool, any second thoughts about commuting these death sentences after hearing about the terrorist attacks in New Orleans and Vegas?

I like your plan...poster #1...I think some attention from other inmates might just solve our problem...especially if these killers abused children...it seems the prison populations don't like child abusers...and they punish hem very harshly...don't know why...but I can imagine the reason....and Gimo is always an alternative...I'm sure the muslims down there will not take kindly to sentenced Americans...so there's always an answer....

Did anyone expect anything different from a scum democrat. Didn't think do. Democrats, no morals, no values, no soul. Victims mean nothing to a democrat. Appalling.

Number 6 you nailed it and it's not just idiot democrat politicians who feel that way. It's also their most rabid supporters and voters. I tried to get the Republican elected NC but sadly Cooper 2.0 in Stein the Stain got the nod. With this latest stunt Cooper can go take a long walk off of a short NC pier as far as I'm concerned

#8, you are correct. Note that this change is imposed against the will of the voters who support the death penalty for heinous crimes. A few men imposing their will against the people is usually called a dictatorship. The Democrats and radical leftists in the media throw that word around, but only use it against Donald Trump.

It is maddening how these self-righteous politicians think they somehow have superior knowledge or morality over the jury who sat and listened to the evidence and who unanimously voted for the death penalty
