Protective barriers intended to prevent terrorist attacks along New Orleans’ Bourbon Street were being replaced and were not set up when a truck fatally plowed into New Year’s revelers early Wednesday. The stainless-steel bollards were removed in November as part of an overhaul of the security system, Nola.com reported. That overhaul was due to take three months, and was brought on by what French Quarter Management District head Bob Simms called an “ineffective” old system. “The track was always full of crap, beads and doubloons and God knows what else. Not the best idea,” Simms told Nola.com. “Eventually everybody realized the need to replace them. They’re in the process of doing that,

The mayor and vast majority of the city goobernment is non diverse (all of one color). Their priorities are locking down the city for any exc use, tearing down confederate status, renaming streets, defunding the police and using taxpayer dollars to furnish their lives of the Rich and Famous. They couldn't care less about crime, sanitation, functioning infrastructure or destroying businesses and jobs. That terrorist could pul this off is no great accomplishment. Hopefully this is a wake up call for the state goobernment and they come in and start running things. And the NFL has to be scared witless with he Stupor bowl just a few weteks away.

It is difficult to imagine just how vicious people can be...and not finishing the barriers in time for the Peach Bowl is on the heads of New Orlean's running politicians...what were they thinking...or...perhaps they weren't thinking....they were busy with family obligations for the holidays..and left their job mandates at the door...their job was to protect their city...and they failed miserably...so off with their heads...as the red queen would say!!

Barriers are only a stop-gap measure like removing your shoes and belt at the airport. There are thousands of ways to murder multiple people and we can't walk around in a permanent shield. Arrest and deport undesirables. Start with the ones 'under suspicion' and all illegals.

Brilliant, so some brain dead idiot removes the barriers just in time for the holidays, when people are most at risk. At Thanksgiving, Christmas and News Years when you would need the most security. How dumb does one have to be to pull an idiotic stunt like that. The outright stupidity of this is appalling.

he highly decorated U.S. Army soldier inside the Tesla Cybertruck that burst into flames outside President-elect Donald Trump’s Las Vegas hotel shot himself in the head before the explosion and likely planned to cause more damage but the steel-sided vehicle absorbed much of the force from the rudimentary explosive, officials said Thursday. Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill said at a news conference that a handgun was found at the feet of the man in the driver's seat, who officials believe is Matthew Livelsberger, 37, of Colorado. The shot appeared to be self-inflicted, officials said.
