A California teen and her mom claim they were attacked in a crowded mall parking lot and robbed of $3,000 as they clashed with another group over a parking spot amid the holiday shopping rush. The dispute happened when Natalie Martinez, 19, and her mother, Patricia Cupa went to the Citadel Outlets in Commerce, Ca. to return a sweater at one of the stores on Wednesday, according to KTLA. The duo had made it to the packed shopping center just after 5 p.m. and had trouble finding a parking spot, forcing them to drive around the lot before the teen eventually found an open space.

Don't even look. It's Shaniqua and DaJuan at it again. And what kind of person, dressed in a hoodie and driving a 10-year-old car, carries $3,000 cash in her purse when she goes to the mall?

Can't one of them go return the sweater while the other waits in the car? By the way, the mall has a huge parking lot. They probably didn't want to walk more than a couple hundred feet.

Why get out of the car? Stupid. But yes I knew before opening the link what I was going to see. We don't see parking lot fights like this in my concealed carry state. Can't imagine why not.

This article is low hanging fruit. While these shameful conflicts can be found more among some races / cultures than others, the race most to blame for the vast majority of them is the human race. The fallout from sin has crossed all races and places and times, to the extent that even when uniformity seems to pervade, human decency is prone to fall apart, sometimes for no clear reason. Try to be as kind as you can be, and pray for God's help to exercise self restraint to a degree adequate for decency to prevail over passion.

#1 Someone who is paid in cash under the table and is afraid or unable to deposit the money in a bank because banks won't give illegals bank accounts and banks have to report deposits over a certain amount to the government for tax purposes. Lesson for today, don't go to shopping malls near "urban" areas.

Re #13. I wonder if she thinks her homeowners policy covers cash, and she can make a claim for that. No. Most will only cover a couple of hundred bucks. Then again, some people are stupid enough to go around with that much cash for several reasons. The only legitimate one I can think of is someone heading to the bank to deposit store receipts or a courier carrying cash between stores. More than that amount is usually transported by armored car.

The over 1,500-page spending measure will receive votes from both Democrats and Republicans and is being pushed by Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. Pornhub said it does not want minors accessing its site, but believes the law puts 'everybody's privacy at risk.'

There has been a development in the Ukraine war - that is, if you trust the source: North Korean troops have been killed fighting Ukrainian forces in Russia's Kursk border region, the US has said. These would be the first reported casualties since it emerged in October that North Korea had sent around 10,000 troops to reinforce Russia's war effort. Ukraine's military intelligence agency, the GUR, has also said at least 30 North Korean troops had been killed or wounded in fighting over the weekend.[snip] Independently verifying US claims is a tricky business, at least for the next month or so.

CNN is in quite a bit of hot water after a desperate attempt to go viral went horribly wrong in Syria. CNN immediately published the video of the ordeal, bragging about how their cameras "caught the moment" he was "freed." Ward then went to social media to garner clicks, calling it "one of the most extraordinary moments" she had ever witnessed.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas insisted that there is nothing the federal government can do about the recent New Jersey drones because he has no “authority.” He told concerned Americans that the drones are not threatening to the United States, stating that they are most likely just “convenience store drones” or “planes.” “We can't just shoot a drone out of the sky,” Mayorkas told CNN. “They’re very, well, maybe drones in the sky, of course, but those are commercially available. One can go into a convenience store and buy a small drone.”

If anyone in the future cares enough to write an authentic history of the 2024 presidential campaign, they might begin by noting that American politics exists downstream of American culture, which is a deep and broad river. Like any river, American culture follows a particular path, which has been reconfigured at key moments by new technologies. In turn, these technologies, which redefine both space and time—canals and lakes, the postal system, the telegraph, railroads, radio and later television, the internet, and most recently the networking of billions of people in real time on social media platforms—set the rules by which stories are communicated, audiences are configured, and individuals define themselves.

As drone sightings over New Jersey continue to raise questions, a new tool could bring answers about the source of these flying vehicles — if the government could get it off the ground. Earlier this year, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) began requiring all unmanned aircraft systems to be equipped with Remote ID technology, which makes every equipped drone uniquely identifiable to authorities, like a license plate on a car. The FAA announced that it would provide a database that could be accessed by local law enforcement, but nearly one year later, local authorities still can't get into it themselves.

At the heart of the Christmas story, nestled in the opening verses of two Gospels, lies the birth of Jesus, the long awaited Messiah. These words speak of a King born not in the grand halls of a world capital, but in the squalor of a manger—a place of vulnerability. As the angels proclaimed peace on earth, humanity was presented with the ultimate paradox: the Prince of Peace, born unexpectedly, in the midst of ongoing war and turmoil. For centuries, the people of Israel had awaited the Messiah. Prophecies spoke of a leader—a descendant of David—who would reign with justice, righteousness, and power, establishing peace and ending war.
