A Georgia homeowner was arrested and charged with criminal trespass after attempting to move back into her home, which was being occupied by an alleged squatter. 'I spent the night on a mat on a concrete floor in deplorable conditions. While this woman, this squatter slept in my home,' Loletha Hale told WSB-TV Atlanta. On December 9, Clayton County police and Sheriff's deputies were called to the home on Livingston Drive after Hale tried to regain access. A deputy, captured on body camera footage, advised Hale to consider the alleged squatter's perspective. 'Just think of it from this perspective, though. Everybody isn't as fortunate as you

Comments:

Deputy has assumed acting role of a DEI enforcement officer and equity warrior.

This is an excellent example of applied socialism: misdirected compassion towards a criminal who violated one of the most cherished tenets of our freedom given by God; the right to own property and have exclusive control of that property, as this woman legally had. Socialism denies that right. Obviously, that cop was indoctrinated by his socialist teachers. He learned well. Next, major lawsuit for false imprisonment and denial of property. Squatters LOVE socialism.

Lesson learned, do not call the police. Claim that the squatter broke into the house while you were in it. Then fire up the backhoe.

Sounds like someone invaded the home. Not my place to consider their perspective. Not my fault this person has made a mess of their life and decided to steal from me. Stand your ground laws should protect this homeowner and police person should be fired if not willing to protect a citizen taxpayer.

This sounds like one policeman that deserves to be defunded. The squatter is who should have been charged with criminal trespass, not the victim.

From the article, the court said that the woman was not a squatter because she was related to a previously evicted tenant's partner. Simply insane.

Donald Trump To Demand Return Of Panama
Canal To US? What We Know

Donald Trump issued a statement on Truth Social criticizing Panama's management of the Panama Canal, claiming excessive fees unfairly burden U.S. commerce and the Navy. He argued the canal, originally gifted during Jimmy Carter's presidency, was intended solely for Panama's management and not for exploitation by others. Trump warned Panama's officials to align with the U.S.'s expectations or face demands for the canal's return. The Panama Canal is indeed a critical cornerstone of global maritime transportation. It serves as a vital link between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, enabling ships to avoid the lengthy and hazardous voyage around Cape Horn at the southern tip of South America.

The Biden administration indicated Friday it plans to scrap his latest student loan forgiveness proposals, which could have wiped away debts for tens of millions of Americans and cleared new paths to relief for borrowers in dire financial straits. The rationale? The U.S. Education Department has limited time and resources, and its leader would rather dedicate them to helping at-risk borrowers repay their loans. The plans would also likely face more legal challenges and be abandoned once President-elect Donald Trump takes office. In official notices set to be published the day after Christmas, U.S. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona acknowledged the “uncertainty around the implementation” of the proposals.

They weren’t run over by a reindeer. President Biden on Monday commuted the sentences of 37 of 40 men on federal death row — a list that includes at least five child killers and several mass murderers — in a stunning act of clemency just two days before Christmas. Biden, 82, gave the reprieve to the nation’s most violent murderers — nine of whom were found too dangerous to live after butchering fellow inmates — as part of his effort at “ensuring a fair and effective justice system,” the White House said.

Someone acting for the president just made a decision that only a president can make and commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 murderers on federal death row out of a sense of someone's moral imperative. The Office of the President of the United States of America announced the commutations early Monday morning of Christmas week. A statement issued by the White House said the president was "guided by my conscience" to commute the death penalties for some of the worst of the worst offenders in America. This is what's known as the "other shoe dropping." Matt Gaetz had hoped to avoid public disclosure of the results of the House Ethics Committee investigation into numerous allegations of corruption and wrongdoing. His successful attack on Kevin McCarthy's Speakership came in part because McCarthy refused to quash the probe. Gaetz clearly intended to use the strange sequence this past month where Gaetz resigned his office just after winning another House term in order to force the committee to seal the results. Instead, the Ethics Committee voted to publish its final report on Gaetz. Before they could do that, though, it leaked to a number of news outlets this morning
