Tech giant Google has been accused of going woke after their new Christmas advert featured a genderfluid beauty influencer.
The advertisement for Google Shopping features TikTok and Instagram personality Cyrus Veyssi, 30, searching for skincare products using the Google service.
Veyssi, who uses they/he pronouns, appears to be wearing women's clothing as he complains about having dry skin in the ad. [SNIP] Conservative commentator and de-transitioner Oli London posted the video to his X account saying: 'Google launches WOKE Christmas campaign featuring man wearing women’s clothing complaining about his skin.'

Americans, our long national nightmare, the Biden presidency, is almost over. First, we must endure six more weeks of damage that President Joe Biden will inflict on the American people.Biden just gave Hunter, his son who was convicted on gun and tax evasion charges, an expansive 11-year pardon, after repeatedly promising he would not engage in such familial favoritism. Biden’s lies were so egregious that at a recent White House press briefing, CNN reporter MJ Lee asked a very pertinent question, “The next time that the president says he will or won’t do something, why should the American people believe him?”

[SNIP] In a statement, President Biden said, “This first-ever National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia and Anti-Arab Hate is a historic step forward to live up to our ideals. It seeks to deepen understanding of these communities and the discrimination and bias they have long faced across a number of sectors.”

San Diego County is set to introduce 'radical' new sanctuary laws to avoid cooperation with ICE and other federal immigration authorities.
The laws are seen as direct defiance toward Donald Trump and his border czar, Tom Homan, who has singled out San Diego for its massive illegal migrant problems amid plans of mass deportation.
However, the San Diego sheriff on Tuesday defied a new policy to limit cooperation.
San Diego County supervisors voted to prohibit its sheriff's department from working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the federal agency's enforcement of civil immigration laws, including those that allow for deportations.

A coalition of organizations representing faculty, staff, students and other advocacy groups at George Mason University and beyond is alleging that university police acted inappropriately in banning two pro-Palestinian student activists from campus and searching their family’s home. [SNIP] Authorities found four weapons unsecured in the home, along with more than 20 magazines with 30 bullets each, according to Laura Birnbaum, spokesperson for the Fairfax County commonwealth’s attorney. Also found were arm patches with Arabic text that was translated in court to read, “Kill them where they stand,” and other patches that call for death to Jews and America.

December is here, the election has been over for a month, Trump has picked out his cabinet and California is still counting the votes. And will go on counting them until the Dems win.
Considering Trump’s landslide victory, California had a difficult task ahead of it, but it has already managed to flip the seats held by Rep. Mike Garcia, Rep. Michelle Steel and just stole the seat held by Rep. John Duarte.
In Duarte’s 13th congressional district, California Dems have taken a month to count a little over 210,000 votes. That’s an impressive achievement considering that the proverbial Florida Man seems able to count the votes on Election night.

The Los Angeles Times could roll out an artificial intelligence-powered "bias meter" as soon as January, in the latest shakeup as the paper's owner tries to reshape the outlet.
LA Times owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong announced the upcoming AI feature on Wednesday. [SNIP] "Whether it be news or opinion — more likely the opinion or the voices — you have a bias meter so somebody could understand as they read it that the source of the article has some level of bias," Soon-Shiong, a billionaire tech entrepreneur and doctor who bought the Times in 2018, said Wednesday.

Iowa election officials sued the Biden administration after the federal government declined to hand over a list of noncitizens registered to vote in the state before the 2024 elections.
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services officials refused to hand over a list of noncitizens illegally registered to vote in Iowa “despite having confirmed that hundreds of noncitizens were on Iowa’s voter rolls after a manual individualized process,” Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate and Attorney General Brenna Bird said in a lawsuit Tuesday. The complaint is filed against the Department of Homeland Security and its subagency, USCIS.

Aides of President Joe Biden are debating whether the outgoing Democratic president should issue preemptive pardons for figures President-elect Donald Trump has named as his political enemies.
Politico reported Wednesday that among those being discussed for blanket pardons are former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, Sen.-elect Adam Schiff and Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Biden - who has been busy dealing with the fallout from his decision to pardon his son Hunter over gun and tax crimes - hasn't been brought into the discussions yet, the outlet said.
White House officials fear that doling out pardons to people who haven't been charged with a crime could suggest impropriety.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg seeks an "active role" in shaping the incoming Trump administration's tech policies, despite his terse history of warring over censorship with the president-elect, and at one point, even suspending him from Facebook.
Given Trump's longstanding history of developing broad coalitions that include his former critics, his transition team's senior adviser Jason Miller insisted that aspect is integral to his governing style and will likely continue, but with the caveat that Trump "never forgets."

Justice Sonia Sotomayor likened the side effects of transgender medical procedures on minors to that of taking an over-the-counter painkiller during Wednesday's oral arguments in the U.S. v. Skrmetti case.
"Every medical treatment has a risk, even taking aspirin," Sotomayor said. "There's always going to be a percentage of the population under any medical treatment that's going to suffer a harm. So, the question in my mind is not, 'do policymakers decide whether one person's life is more valuable than the millions of others who get relief from this treatment?'"

The bodies were laid out in long rows, hundreds of them, mostly fighters but civilians too, in plywood boxes poking out from heaps of earth.
“It’s our culture to view this as a victory,” said Mahmoud, a police officer, standing by the grave of a relative and tracing the outline of the coffins with his finger. “But anyone who tells you that we won militarily … something has gone wrong in their head.” Like others in this story, Mahmoud spoke on the condition that he be identified by his first name, fearing retribution from Hezbollah.
