The bodies were laid out in long rows, hundreds of them, mostly fighters but civilians too, in plywood boxes poking out from heaps of earth. “It’s our culture to view this as a victory,” said Mahmoud, a police officer, standing by the grave of a relative and tracing the outline of the coffins with his finger. “But anyone who tells you that we won militarily … something has gone wrong in their head.” Like others in this story, Mahmoud spoke on the condition that he be identified by his first name, fearing retribution from Hezbollah.

The only way a war ever ends is when the losing side decides that the cost of continuing the war is worse than the cost of whatever political disagreements caused the political situation to escalate to war. Sounds like some of these Muslim barbarians are getting sick of burying friends and family. Until the majority come to this view, it will be necessary to keep killing them, it's unfortunate, but just that simple. THEY decide when the war is over, not Israel.

It seems like many of the people in Lebanon are clueless about what is happening. They think Israel is attacking because Israel is the aggressor. They may not know that Hezbollah has been pouring missiles into Israel or that Hamas attacked Israel. Their ignorance doesn't excuse them and maybe if they knew the truth they wouldn't care but misinformed hatred will only perpetuate the fighting.

Don't get comfortable honey. This cease-fire will last exactly as long as it takes for Hezbollah to re-arm, and they will be attacking Israel again. They can't help themselves. Their hate for Israel far outweighs any love they may have for their own children or goats (or, as they call them, "daddy's mistresses"). But Israel is not playing. As soon as the first Hezbollah missile is fired, Israel will continue to turn this terrorist hellscape into a giant pile of rubble -- and send so many of these terrorist swine to meet their 72 virgins (who will all look like Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg if there is any justice in the universe).

Biden aides mulling preemptive pardons

Aides of President Joe Biden are debating whether the outgoing Democratic president should issue preemptive pardons for figures President-elect Donald Trump has named as his political enemies. Politico reported Wednesday that among those being discussed for blanket pardons are former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, Sen.-elect Adam Schiff and Dr. Anthony Fauci. Biden - who has been busy dealing with the fallout from his decision to pardon his son Hunter over gun and tax crimes - hasn't been brought into the discussions yet, the outlet said. White House officials fear that doling out pardons to people who haven't been charged with a crime could suggest impropriety.
Trump adviser on Mark Zuckerberg seeking

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg seeks an "active role" in shaping the incoming Trump administration's tech policies, despite his terse history of warring over censorship with the president-elect, and at one point, even suspending him from Facebook. Given Trump's longstanding history of developing broad coalitions that include his former critics, his transition team's senior adviser Jason Miller insisted that aspect is integral to his governing style and will likely continue, but with the caveat that Trump "never forgets."

Justice Sonia Sotomayor likened the side effects of transgender medical procedures on minors to that of taking an over-the-counter painkiller during Wednesday's oral arguments in the U.S. v. Skrmetti case. "Every medical treatment has a risk, even taking aspirin," Sotomayor said. "There's always going to be a percentage of the population under any medical treatment that's going to suffer a harm. So, the question in my mind is not, 'do policymakers decide whether one person's life is more valuable than the millions of others who get relief from this treatment?'"

Canadian officials have indicated the country cannot process mail from the U.S. while the strike is underway. The suspension means several classifications of mail cannot be delivered, including Priority and First-Class Mail International and First-Class Package International Service. The USPS has asked customers to wait to send any mail destined for Canada until further notice.

LA Kauffman remembers the day hundreds of thousands of women, men and children marched in the streets of Washington. “If you’ve never been in a crowd that large, it’s hard to convey how powerful the feeling is of standing together with so many people who share your goals and that feeling of community and connection,” says the political organiser, activist and author. The Women’s March, held the day after Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2017, was the biggest single-day protest in US history until the demonstrations that erupted after the police murder of George Floyd three years later.

When sitting down at the dinner table this Thanksgiving, soak in the scents of hot gravy, the sight of dear friends and family, and the cinnamon goodness of a nice pumpkin pie slice. Be appreciative of all that surrounds you, the visible and, especially, the invisible. Much like Christmas, the reason for the season is the spirit of Christ and his sacrifices for us. Yet, as America and its families become more secular, Thanksgiving’s Christian origins have been less prominent and forgotten.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will be forced to open its books and reveal its sources of funding after a defamation suit it filed against a former employee completely backfired. US Magistrate Judge David Schultz ruled Monday that CAIR’s donors, funding sources — potentially including foreign ones — and any assets owned by the group are all within the “scope of permissible discovery” as part of former chapter leader Lori Saroya’s lawsuit against the controversial Muslim rights group. Saroya filed a federal defamation complaint against CAIR in January after the group dropped its own lawsuit against the former employee.

At least one congresswoman is already formally pressing the DOJ for answers.

President-elect Donald Trump is considering replacing Pete Hegseth, his controversial pick to lead the Pentagon, with one-time 2024 rival, Florida Gov. The move comes as Hegseth, a 44-year-old Army veteran and former Fox News personality, faces increasing scrutiny over allegations of sexual misconduct and financial mismanagement. The defense secretary post requires Senate confirmation and Hegseth faces an increasingly uphill battle to win over GOP members with concerns about his past.

They all expressed fear their reproductive choices will be taken from them under Trump's administration. "If I am to be denied any rights in the next four (or more) years, I will not give them up without a fight," Echols said.

In dealing with his enemies in the Deep State, President Trump could follow one of two paths. One would be the path of peace, reconciliation, and forgiveness. This would certainly be easier in the short term and also garner approval from insiders and the media. Alternatively, he could seek to clean house and punish the worst and most insubordinate offenders from his first term. Which path Trump should take all depends on whether one believes the last eight years were normal partisan squabbles or if one believes that something monumental happened

AP reports it is unclear whether the munitions for the HIMARS are the coveted ATACMS — the Army Tactical Missile System — but Ukraine has been pressing for more of the longer-range missiles to strike additional targets inside Russia.

Trump responded on Truth Social, saying Newsom was “using the term ‘Trump-Proof’ as a way of stopping all of the GREAT things that can be done to ‘Make California Great Again’.”
