The 2028 presidential election is still a long way off, though there's still been plenty of chatter about which name leads the pack to follow Donald Trump as the next Republican nominee. That's true for the Democrats as well now, after Vice President Kamala Harris lost to Trump, and Democrats also lost control of the Senate and failed to recapture control of the House. On Monday night, an Echelon Insights poll went out showing that amongst 14 candidates, as well as a "Someone else" response and "Unsure," Harris still has a healthy lead, with 41 percent saying they'd vote for her if the 2028 primary were held today.

Kackles is highly unlikely to be the nominee in 2028. Modern-day Rats are notoriously unforgiving to their Presidential campaign losers. Not since Adlai Stevenson lost to Ike in 1952 and again in 1956 have they given a losing candidate a second chance. Add to that the fact that she was a horrendous candidate in 2020 and obviously learned nothing in the ensuing four years, getting her butt kicked this year in spite of being gifted the nomination on a silver platter along with a billion dollars with which to sell herself, which she wasted in vain. They'd be total fools to entrust her with the nomination again as she'd still be the same rotten candidate four years from now.. She's only leading this meaningless poll because of name recognition and the dying gasps of the hopes and dreams of the pink hat brigade. In time they'll move on and find someone else to invest their hopes and dreams in.

Then sad to say, 40% of DimoTwits are irrevocably out to lunch. But I truly hope she repeats as their nominee - and loser - with a capital L.

For Christ's sake!. We had politics stuffed down our throats 24/7 since forever. Is whoever the person who's "running the country" the only subject to talk about in the frigging universe?? Shut the hell up and give us some peace for a change.

The rats haven't completely vacated their sinking ship yet, and people are already discussing what feral beasts will replace them in 4 years. No wonder the country is so far gone; we don't learn, do we?

I don't think that even the Dems are stupid enough to run her again. She won't get through the primaries if she decides to try it again but Potomic Fever seems to be able to addle politicians' minds.

Some of the candidates are unbelievable. Tampon Timmy waved his arms like an escapee from a looney bin. Hard to believe anyone would want him. The one I have the least use for is Mayor Petie. When the price of gasoline hit $ 5 a gallon he was asked what he had to say to the people who couldn't afford to buy gas for their car. He said he didn't worry at all because he had an electric car. Just take $ 60k out of the cookie jar and buy a car that won't work in hot weather, cold weather, has no resale value, and is a fire hazard. He's like Marie Antoinette excepts she looked better in a dress.

Do they plan to hold some primaries in 2028 or just select the nominee again? Kamala wouldn't stand a chance in a fair primary process.

Impossible to be president if you cannot win a single primary.
Harris' time on the national stage is over.
Just remember, Obama came out of nowhere.

I think Mattressback is radioactive to the democrat decision makers. They will try Shapiro, Newsom or another loser, Whitmer. Vance should be able to coast into office, but the entire dem machine is going to focus on destroying him In the next 4 years.

The fact that Kamala Harris is the least desirable candidate since Hillary Clinton and no where near as qualified makes me wonder how she got to the top of the list. Considering that she spent a billion dollars in six months, and still lost, only makes me wonder if Democrats have lost their minds.

Either the poll was heavily weighted toward women with shaved heads, or it is just a test of name recognition. Republicans would love it if Kamala became the 2028 doormat.
