Blinken In Deep Water After State Dept.

After President-elect Donald Trump won the election, the Biden-Harris State Department is under fire for hosting in-house therapy sessions for employees. A Free Beacon report found that outgoing Secretary of State Antony Blinken spent federal money on at least two sessions, which a source described as a "cry session” for people to deal with Vice President Kamala Harris’ loss. In a letter to Blinken, Republican Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) expressed concern that the State Department was coddling its employees even though their preferred candidate did not win the election. “I am concerned that the Department is catering to federal employees who are personally devastated

If the snowflakes are so stressed they need counseling, let them avail themselves of the gold-plated health care plan they have courtesy of the taxpayers. They certainly don’t need additional cry sessions to soothe their delicate sensibilities.

Let's find out who at the State Department hired people so emotionally fragile that they need therapy because their side lost an election. Fire the snowflakes, the people who hired them in the first place, and anyone involved in enabling the therapy sessions.

Poor fragile little babes. Our government is full of employees that must seek therapy after a loss for their team, and that’s pathetic. We need people with strength. And now we’ve got it.

I dimly recall—and my paltry search skills are no help—than during the GW Bush administration State Department personnel staged a 'strike" protesting "hardship assignments" to zones like Iraq, embroiled in the War on Terror. I believe our Sec. of State (Rice?) met the employees in a State Dept. cafeteria and counseled them to calm down. (Accepting such hardship assignments was in the employment agreement.) These were the whiners and crybabies ahead of their time. The lesson I take is that turning this ship around will take a long time. Longer than Trump's remaining 4 years by far.

For Secretary of State, Trump tapped Sen. Marco Rubio, along with Rep. Michael Waltz for National Security Advisor and Rep. Elise Stefanik for United Nations Ambassador. In the election just passed, we restored Alaska's at-large seat in the U.S. House of Representatives to Republican control, electing Nick Begich III in a defeat for Democrat Mary Peltola. But the other issue that will have a big impact on Alaska's political scene was the repeal of ranked-choice voting (RCV) that failed by a whisker-thin 664 votes: 160,619 to 159,955, or 50.1% to 49.9%. That's pretty close. The Alaska Republican Party has requested a recount, which the Dhillon Law Group will oversee. It ain't over yet.
