A New York state senator is demanding a rally for former President Donald Trump be canceled, going so far as to liken it to an “infamous” gathering from 1939.
Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal took to X to express his frustration with Trump holding a campaign event at Madison Square Garden, which happens to fall in his district.
“I’ve confirmed with @TheGarden that they signed an agreement with Trump to hold a rally on October 27 at 3 pm at MSG, which is in my Senate district,” he wrote. “Let’s be clear.

Social media slammed Former President Barack Obama's crude joke at President Donald Trump during his first solo outing on the campaign trail in support of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Speaking at the University of Pittsburgh Thursday night, Obama hinted that he believed that the 78-year-old Trump wore adult diapers.
Obama, 63, recalled that he couldn't believe how expensive diapers were when he became a parent. 'Do you think Donald Trump ever changed a diaper?' he mused.

BRUSSELS – NATO will hold a long-planned major nuclear exercise next week, the alliance´s chief said Thursday, a few weeks after President Vladimir Putin announced changes to Russia´s nuclear doctrine to discourage Ukraine´s Western allies from supporting attacks on his country.
The “Steadfast Noon” exercise starts on Monday and will run for about two weeks. It will be led by Belgium and the Netherlands, use eight military bases and involve 2,000 personnel and 60 aircraft from 13 nations. The exercise has been held at roughly the same time each year for over a decade.

A Spanish-language ad campaign is warning non-citizens that they are not allowed to vote in next month’s presidential election.
The campaign, led by conservative advocacy group Look Ahead America, will run in Nevada and Arizona, both of which have a large Hispanic population. However, they are also hoping to expand to other swing states such as Pennsylvania.
The group said in a press release:
Noncitizens voting in federal elections is illegal under the “Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996.” However, there are still cases of it occurring, putting noncitizens at risk of facing serious charges and of affecting the outcome of our elections.

How do you know the Democrats are worried and desperate? They're now pulling out the only "big guns" they have left including Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Obama was in Pittsburgh for a Black Voters for Harris event. He spoke to about 40 people and he identified a big problem that Kamala Harris faces: that she isn't generating much enthusiasm for her. What's the problem, according to Barack Obama? It's on the "brothas." Vice President Kamala Harris was put in the hot seat by a group of undecided Hispanic voters in Nevada on Thursday where she was pressed over a series of key issues from immigration to health care.
But as the vice president looks to lock in support from this key voting bloc with just 26 days to be before Election Day, she played it safe, sidestepping on some hot button issues and resorting back to talking points she often uses on the campaign trail.
The hour-long town hall was tapped at the University of Nevada Las Vegas to air nationally on Univision on Thursday night.

Enough is enough.
Courageous West Virginia Republican lawmakers proposed legislation this week that prevents the state from recognizing the winner in a US election if the election is enabled by illegal or fraudulent acts.
The lawmakers added that the state will not recognize any election of the Democrat candidate for President in the 2024 election cycle if the Republican candidate is assassinated, seriously injured during an assassination attempt, incarcerated, or eliminated from the ballot in any states, or is subject to legal actions that preclude the candidate from campaigning.

Trump tormentor Jack Smith offered up a superseding indictment against Donald Trump, a rehash of his earlier lawfare nonsense slapped down by SCOTUS.
CNN’s senior legal analyst Elie Honig explained:
“Jack Smith has failed in his quest to try Donald Trump before the 2024 election. So instead, the Special Counsel has bent ordinary procedure to get in one last shot, just weeks before voters go to the polls.”

After facing backlash for avoiding sit-down interviews with the mainstream press, Harris’ campaign announced a series of media appearances for the week. On “The Victor Davis Hanson Show,” Hanson stated that he believes Harris is “terrifying” many Democrats and independent voters, particularly after her recent interview on “The View,” where she insisted she wouldn’t change anything from the last four years, despite trying to distance herself from President Joe Biden.

There are some people so incompetent that they could blow a tap-in putt. “Hand me the wedge,” they say as they overlook a 2-inch gap. You can’t help these people, even though they are likely the most in need of saving anyone, because you can’t save people from themselves. This, I suspect, is why the handlers of Kamala Harris have chosen to run the campaign they have.
Hiding is the only defense against incompetence. The only problem is that no matter where you hide, there you are. A person can escape a lot, themselves is not one of them.

They’re not pulling some scam or trick. Both of them really believe in what they’ve been saying. You know it because they’ve been saying it forever. With Donald Trump, his politics are pretty much the same conservative-Jacksonian-populist (yeah, that’s a thing) politics he’s always had, even though his party affiliation has switched. The same with Elon Musk. Elon Musk is no regular conservative. He has just always believed in things like free enterprise, free speech

I had a friend who worked for a polling company tell me polls are not meant to learn what people think; they are created to tell people what to think.
I have accurately predicted every presidential race since 2004 except 2020, when I hit a "wrinkle."
I did this by counting campaign signs and attributing value amounts based on the size. I traveled the country, specifically Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, counting signs.
Most importantly, I would stand on a stage in front of groups of people and ask them who they wanted to win. And they always told me.

Vice President Kamala Harris is so spectacularly bad at what she does that reporting on it may sometimes come across as a "dog bites man" thing, where you know the outcome of it well in advance.
But because she's in a position of great power and wants one that has even more power, these things have to be documented if for no other reason than to let the record show that this is what she tried to do and this is how it turned out - with her chalking up another massive and embarrassing "L."
The latest example happened Wednesday as Hurricane Milton was making landfall in Florida.

Let’s rewind the tape.
As Hurricane Milton approached Florida, President Biden hosted a public briefing with a number of high officials.
Reasonable enough.
Harris — who appeared by Zoom for some reason, a bizarre choice in itself — suddenly seemed to be distracted by something behind the camera, raised her hands to cover her mouth and then barked out, “It’s a live broadcast!”
Plainly, she was hushing off-screen staffers who were trying to feed her lines to make it look like she had something useful to add.

One of the most damning media scandals in recent memory is currently playing out at CBS News, and I'm not even talking about "60 Minutes" chopping up Kamala Harris' answers to protect her. This specific issue surrounds a recent interview done with race grifter and alleged antisemite Ta-Nehisi Coates. Like several others in his "field," Coates has made a lucrative living in academia and elsewhere peddling racial grievance and viciously attacking white people. He was even tapped by Marvel Comics to write "Black Panther" for several years, a job he failed miserably at for obvious reasons.
With anti-white racism usually comes antisemitism, and Coates is no exception.

With just a few weeks to Election Day and early voting already underway in several states, it’s peak time for the “ground game” that campaigns have spent months preparing. Back in May, on-the-ground Republican operatives voiced concerns to The Federalist that the Republican National Committee’s operations weren’t keeping pace with grassroots in swing states.
Now, as Election Day nears, a narrative has emerged in the corporate media about the Trump campaign’s “paltry” ground game. Despite the grousing by some in the GOP, outside groups, including political action committees like the Sentinel Action Fund, are working to match Democrats at their own game.

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday published a video message to the people of Florida in the wake of Hurricane Milton, which made landfall in the state less than two weeks after Florida endured Hurricane Helene.
The hurricane, once as strong as a Category 5, hit the central west coast of Florida on Wednesday evening, bringing with it powerful winds and torrential rain and spawning more than 150 tornados.
“Melania and I are praying for you as you face the aftermath of Hurricane Milton,” Trump said in the video message. “We are deeply saddened by the devastation being reported.”

Kamala Harris is desperately clinging to any opportunity to regain her political footing after a string of underwhelming performances.
CNN’s offer to host a second presidential debate on October 23 in Atlanta seemed like a lifeline for Harris, who quickly accepted the invitation, confident that the far-left network will shield her from tough scrutiny.
“CNN sent invitations on September 21 to both Vice President Harris and former President Trump’s campaigns to participate in a CNN debate this fall as we believe the American people would benefit from a second debate between the two candidates for President of the United States,” the far-left network said in a statement.

Civic leaders are urging Gov. Kathy Hochul to deploy 100 state troopers to help clean up the “urban crime zone” of Roosevelt Avenue — the squalid stretch in Queens that’s been overrun with brothels, illegal vendors and crime.
“It’s an urban crime zone and as a result we have more brothels than bodegas,” the leaders of the group Let’s Improve Roosevelt Avenue said in a letter to Hochul Tuesday. (Photo) Group leaders said the NYPD’s 100th and 115th precincts are “overwhelmed and understaffed” and the area has been taken over by organized crime — drug rings, human trafficking, pimps, prostitutes and shoplifting rings.

Ted Cruz has a five-point lead over Democratic rival Colin Allred in the Republican senator's battle to secure reelection in November according to a new poll.
The Marist Poll survey of 1,186 Texas likely voters put Cruz on 51 percent ahead of Allred, who currently sits in the House of Representatives, on 46 percent. However the poll did put Allred ahead with independent voters by 51 percent against 43 percent. The survey was conducted from October 3 to 7 and had a 3.6 point margin of error.
Notably the Marist Poll result gives Cruz a stronger lead than recent surveys

Multiple reports of Democrats beginning to panic over the state of the race have been reinforced by a slew of swing state polls that show real momentum for former President Trump.
As always, I will use the most reliable polling available as an example, and that’s the RealClearPolitics average poll of state polls. Afterward, I’ll explain why Trump’s picking up steam.
In Pennsylvania, the state that will likely decide the next president, Trump leads sitting Vice President Kamala Harris by an average of 0.3 points. Of note, though, is that Harris has only led in one of the last seven polls. Also, if you remove the oldest poll, an outlier

Tampa cops came across a horrific scene Wednesday as Hurricane Milton surged toward land: A helpless dog whose heartless owner left him to die tied to a fence in stomach-deep water.
Florida Highway Patrol officers discovered the abandoned pooch barking desperately for help Wednesday morning, as the outer edge of the enormous storm was already dumping heavy rain in the area.
The compassionate troopers parked their patrol vehicles and trudged across a soggy field next to Interstate 75, rescuing the terrified animal in the nick of time.
Do NOT do this to your pets please…” the agency urged, sharing the heartbreaking and outrageous video on X.

Hurricane Milton tore a coast-to-coast path of destruction across the state of Florida, whipping up a spate of deadly tornadoes that left at least four people dead and millions without power Thursday.
Milton made landfall Wednesday night on the Florida Gulf Coast as a major Category 3 storm.
Sustained hurricane-force winds smashed inland through communities still reeling from Hurricane Helene two weeks ago, before roaring off Florida’s east coast into the Atlantic. “The wind was the scariest thing because the building sways and the windows rattle, even though they’re storm-proof windows,” said Sarasota resident Carrie Elizabeth, as she emerged to inspect the aftermath early Thursday.

Kamala Harris was hoping to move the needle with her media tour.
She may have moved the needle alright, but in the wrong direction for her. She seems to be completely imploding along with her knuckle-headed running mate, Tim Walz. Interviews with friendly outlets are supposed to help prop you up. But her interview with "The View" just decimated her and her interview with "60 Minutes" has evolved into a full-blown scandal.
Bill Whitaker actually did a good job of asking some probing questions, and Kamala gave some ridiculous answers, including one incredible word salad about Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They released a clip on it early

Megyn Kelly compares what Kamala Harris told "60 Minutes" about the Biden administration's record on immigration with what actually happened:
MEGYN KELLY: "You recently visited the southern border and embraced President Biden's recent crackdown on asylum seeker seekers."
This was his break-glass-in-case-of-emergency plan he did in June, recognizing that he was losing and that he needed to shore up the border because it was turning into the number one issue for Democrats. So he started banning asylum seeker seekers with executive order.

Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris just gave us a look at what kind of leader she’d be in an emergency. And it’s not great. Florida is about to get slammed with its second major hurricane in two weeks, and rather than offer to help in any way she can, Harris is throwing barbs at Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. DeSantis on Monday called the approaching Hurricane Milton a “monster” and is encouraging citizens in its path to evacuate as soon as possible. Meanwhile, he is still busy overseeing cleanup efforts from Hurricane Helene, which resulted in the deaths of an estimated 20 Floridians.

Kamala Harris has been desperately trying to exploit Hurricanes Helene and Milton to boost her politically, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis isn’t letting her get away with that in Florida.
Earlier this week, NBC News reported that he refused to take her calls. DeSantis has disputed the report, saying that if Harris had reached out to him, he would have taken the call. But Kamala, still trying to appear as the adult in the room, accused DeSantis of “playing political games” and being “utterly irresponsible” and “selfish.”
During a Thursday morning interview on CNBC, DeSantis was pressed to clarify the details of his recent clash with Kamala Harris, and he wasted

Speaking nearly 12 hours after Hurricane Milton's landfall, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said that although the storm left significant damage, the state was spared from the worst-case scenario officials feared.
The hurricane weakened on Wednesday from a Category 5 down to a Category 3, which meteorologists had forecast. Although forecasters accurately predicted wind shear would cause Milton to weaken, there were concerns that wind shear would not be enough to take away Milton's fury.
Although the damage was extensive, it was not catastrophic.

New polling shows Republicans are likely to take control of the Senate in the upcoming election, with the GOP challenger leading against a Democrat incumbent in Montana. Republican challenger Tim Sheehy leads the incumbent Democrat, Sen. Jon Tester, in a 52% to 44% matchup, according to a New York Times/Sienna poll released Thursday. Democrats currently hold a 51-seat majority in the Senate, and Sen. Joe Manchin's, I-W.V., decision to retire virtually guarantees a seat flipping toward the GOP.
While there are competitive races elsewhere in the Senate, Republicans appear to be holding strong,

Ron DeSantis "refused" to take the Democrat presidential nominee's call after Helene hit the state two weeks ago.

It was an unwarranted and indefensible killing of a kind that should never, ever happen in a free country like the United States. Because we have a media that no longer serves in its traditional role as a government watchdog, this incident was not widely reported.

Hurricane Milton ripped the roof off Tropicana Field which was transformed into a camp for thousands of first responders as the Category 3 storm ripped through Florida Wednesday night.
The destruction of the Tampa Bay Rays ballpark in St. Petersburg could be seen from the outside and all that remained were the stadium’s lights cables, bars and catwalks with roof fabric dangling from above.
The storm had initially torn open a significant hole above the third base dugout before every other section around the domed roof fell apart, leaving roofing material covering various portions of the infield and stadium seating, according to social media video from inside the stadium.

Citing conventional wisdom or an "appeal to authority" will reach out and bite you every time. The proverbial "appeal to authority" in an argument only works when the "authority" is credible.
The conventional wisdom that the 2024 presidential race is razor-close is based on polls. Frankly, pollsters themselves are warning us not to trust their work.
“There are a lot of sh***y polls out there,” said John Anzalone, who has done polling work for Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama. And, added Greg Strimple, a Republican pollster, many hardcore Donald Trump voters aren't responding to polls at all, especially online polls.

What good is this woman? Kamala Harris is doing interviews for The Weather Channel. The real question is why? Because the vice president—I don’t care who it is—has no business chiming on this network. That point goes doubly so when nothing of substance is spewed on air. Harris is trying to sell an image that she’s a capable leader in a crisis. Sorry, lady, that ship has long sailed. It’s a sunken ship ever since you played a part in covering up Joe Biden’s mental decline. You were a leader in a crisis—but you played the part of the villainess.
