Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AK) wrote U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Samatha Power Wednesday, accusing the administration of overseeing the “misuse” of over a billion dollars in aid sent to Gaza that was likely seized by Hamas terrorists. In his letter, he slammed USAID for “inadequate vetting”: [snip] Cotton specifically pointed out that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) often seems to be working hand in hand with the terrorists:

Comments:

Maybe we could get Bibi to lob some missiles at Florida and the rest of our east coast. Then we could distribute some 'Government money' to help our own taxpayers.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was photographed grabbing some takeout at a high-end Sushi restaurant in Washington, D.C. — hours after visiting storm-ravaged North Carolina. The incident continues a disturbing trend of extremely out-of-touch behavior in the wake of natural disasters Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The storms have resulted in hundreds of lives lost and, in the case of Helene, left countless individuals missing even to this day. Mayorkas, the first Cabinet secretary to be impeached in 150 years, announced that he had touched down in the Tar Heel State on X, just after 10 AM on Thursday.

How do you do, fellow dudes? A 90-second video of “typical” men expressing their support for Kamala Harris was widely mocked online Friday — with critics trashing the awkward spot as the “cringiest political ad ever” and an “absurd piece of rubbish.” The clip features a slew of apparent farmers, car enthusiasts and gym junkies boasting about their masculinity as they repeatedly insist, “I’m a man” and “I’m man enough.” The script then takes a hard feminist turn as the presumed actors — most of whom were filmed doing outdoor activities or perched on trucks — start rattling off ways they aren’t afraid to support women. “You think I’m afraid to rebuild a carburetor?

Vice President Kamala Harris can’t even stumble her way through an emergency storm briefing without making it all about her. Let’s rewind the tape. As Hurricane Milton approached Florida, President Biden hosted a public briefing with a number of high officials. Reasonable enough. Harris — who appeared by Zoom for some reason, a bizarre choice in itself — suddenly seemed to be distracted by something behind the camera, raised her hands to cover her mouth and then barked out, “It’s a live broadcast!” Plainly, she was hushing off-screen staffers who were trying to feed her lines to make it look like she had something useful to add.

Kamala Harris’s campaign took a hard hit this week during her highly anticipated 60 Minutes interview with CBS’s Bill Whitaker. What was meant to be a friendly sit-down to showcase her policies turned into an all-out disaster, as Harris was called out for essentially being “handed” the Democrat nomination without ever going through a primary process. CBS hit her with hard-hitting facts: no votes, no debates, no campaign battle — just an elitist handoff of power. After a shaky start discussing her foreign policy approach to Middle East tensions, Harris stumbled through an attempted defense of her economic policies, which Whitaker repeatedly challenged.

In a landmark case, the top European Union court has ruled that all member states must recognise gender changes made in other countries within the bloc. The European Court of Justice (ECJ), which serves as the supreme court of the European Union in matters of EU law, said this week that Romania had violated EU law by refusing to accept as valid a gender transition certificate obtained by Arian Mirzarafie-Ahi in Britain. The case was spurred after Mirzarafie-Ahi had requested a new birth certificate in Romania, however, the local court demanded that Mirzarafie-Ahi go through a new gender recognition process in Romania rather than accepting the documents from Britain, The Telegraph reports.

President Biden appeared confused Thursday evening when asked what he thought states impacted by Hurricane Helene needed after he spent the day touring parts of Florida and Georgia that were battered by the Category 4 storm. “What do the states in the storm zone need after what you saw today?” a reporter asked him. Biden paused momentarily before responding. “Oh, in the storm zone!” he said. “Yes, sir,” the reporter replied. “I’m wondering what storm you’re talking about,” Biden continued. “They’re getting everything they need and they’re very happy across the board.”

The dockworkers' union has agreed to return to work after the White House intervened and strong-armed the U.S. Maritime Alliance, representing shipping companies, to give the union what they wanted regarding wages. The dockworkers will return to work immediately under the old contract and the two sides will have until January 15 to hammer out the outstanding issues. Why Biden didn't intervene to prevent the strike is clear. He wanted the International Longshoreman Union (ILA) to demonstrate its muscle and willingness to shut down the U.S. economy to get what it wanted.

Talk about watching a narrative die in real-time. This segment was like watching the OceanGate submersible implode. Of course, MSNBC would have a segment on January 6 since Democrats cannot move past that little riot that was inconsequential to the stability of the nation. Liberals have no grasp of history, so it’s in keeping with their obsession with this minor scuffle. Yet, I’m sure host Ari Melber was not expecting Gordon Sondland, a key witness in the Trump impeachment effort, to declare his support for the Trump-Vance ticket this year. Melber was aghast—Sondland had said that the January 6 event was why he could never support Trump again.

In the lead-up to and during Barack Obama’s presidency, we were relentlessly told that Barack Obama was a racial healer and a man of unusual, almost James Bondian suave sophistication. Both were lies. Barack Obama has always been a race hustler and a crude, low-thinking person. Both traits appeared during campaign appearances he made yesterday on Kamala’s behalf, where he made a vulgar crack about Donald Trump and shamed young black men for voting for their interests rather than their skin color.

All of the talk about how sacred ‘our democracy’ is from Democrats in recent years might go right out the window in November. Rep. Jamie Raskin of California and other members of his party are already signaling that they may not vote to certify the 2024 election if Trump wins. This would not be a big change for Raskin. He objected to certifying the 2016 election when Trump won. It’s almost like they don’t really care about ‘our democracy’ at all. Almost. Breitbart News reports:

Former President Donald Trump won’t appear on a voters’ pamphlet mailed across Oregon because the 2024 GOP nominee missed the deadline to submit a statement in the informational guide, officials said. Trump, along with his running mate Ohio Sen. JD Vance, will still be on the state’s ballot in his quest to retake the White House this November, but will be one of three presidential candidates that won’t show up in the booklet recently sent out to 3 million voters, according to reports. Along with not submitting a candidate statement, his campaign did not fork over a fee of $3,500, the Oregon Capitol Chronicle reported last month.
