Officials in Baltimore County, Maryland, helped a convicted illegal alien sex offender evade deportation for weeks by suspending his prison sentence and setting him loose into the community, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials say.
Raul Calderon-Interiano, a 25-year-old Guatemalan national, first arrived at the United States-Mexico border near Laredo, Texas, as an unaccompanied alien child (UAC) in June 2014. Calderon-Interiano was subsequently given a Notice to Appear (NTA) in federal immigration court at a later date.
In November 2014, Calderon-Interiano was transferred by the Office of Refugee Resettlement to an adult sponsor in Maryland. The following year, in October 2015, a federal immigration judge ordered Calderon-Interiano deported from the U.S.

OPEC+ reached an internal agreement to prolong its oil production cuts, a move that could raise energy prices in the U.S. ahead of the pivotal 2024 elections, Reuters reported Monday.
The oil cartel, made up mostly of Middle Eastern nations and other oil-producing states — is prolonging existing production cuts of 3.66 million barrels per day through the end of 2025 and extending its ongoing cuts of 2.2 million barrels per day through September 2024, according to Reuters. The cartel’s deal to extend the cuts could mean that oil prices will remain high through this fall’s presidential election, according to The Wall Street Journal.

President Joe Biden is reportedly set to announce new executive actions on immigration this week, which should at least theoretically come as a surprise to anyone who has heard him insist -- repeatedly -- in recent months that he has exhausted his power to unilaterally do anything about the border crisis he's caused. He and his team have been lying, quite obviously, as critics have been pointing out every time they've issued insultingly false denials like these: (X Video)

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) went off on Democrats for accusing her and other Republicans of worshipping “convicted felon” former President Donald Trump, making it clear that Jesus is her only savior and pointing to the sheer hypocrisy of the radical left, explaining that they worshipped convicted felon George Floyd, which came with rioting and burning the country down.
Greene made the remarks after Dr. Anthony Fauci’s testimony before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic on Monday. During the hearing, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) lauded Fauci as a hero, accusing Republicans of treating the former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases chief as a “convicted felon.”

A Georgia appeals court set a date to hear arguments regarding Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s eligibility to remain on the election interference case against former President Donald Trump.
In early May, the Georgia appeals court announced it would review a conflict of interest regarding Willis remaining on the case.
The former president and several of his co-defendants have attempted to remove Willis from the case due to her previous romantic relationship with Nathan Wade, another prosecutor who had been on the case.

A group of what's been described as "Never Trump" voters are suddenly backing the former president following last week's historic conviction. The Free Press spoke with several voters from across the country whose opinions were significantly impacted by the guilty verdict in the New York trial against former President Trump.
Shaun Maguire, a Los Angeles-based venture capitalist and a former Hillary Clinton campaign donor, declared on social media that he donated $300,000 to the Trump campaign within an hour of the verdict, and wrote in an essay that "the double standards and lawfare that Trump has faced" "boiled my blood."

If you’ve been keeping up with the news, you’ve probably heard a lot of speculation about the effect former President Donald Trump’s felony conviction will have on the 2024 presidential race. Here’s the real answer, so far: We don’t know.
The first thing to remember about momentous events and public opinion is that it takes a while for people to process the full import of truly consequential developments. With the Trump verdict, of course partisan zealots on both sides know exactly how they feel. But other, more normal people are not entirely sure. They want to think about it and see how things work out before they settle on what

In a recent appearance on fellow comedian Tom Segura’s podcast, Jon Stewart spoke about the recent guilty verdict in Trump’s business records case in deep-blue New York City. Stewart agreed with Trump’s repeated contention that the system is “rigged” against him though the comedian disagreed on what to do about it. “Somebody can be right about a diagnosis and wrong about the remedy. So he can diagnose the system as rigged, and it obviously is,” Stewart said. “The interesting thing is once that gets exposed, a reformer comes in

In Florida, a grand jury empaneled to examine potential wrongdoing by COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers and their proponents released its second interim report. There are some interesting, if perhaps a tad obvious, conclusions documented therein.
Submitted to the Florida Supreme Court on May 21, the grand jury’s second interim report details various topics not covered in the first, such as the prevalence of natural immunity among those infected with Covid and medications used to treat infected patients. Much like the first report, this new analysis contains damning information about how the “expert” class did not, in fact, “follow the science.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci made several stunning admissions during testimony before Congress Monday as Republicans sought to pin blame on him for pandemic-era blunders.
The hearing was a culmination of a years-long effort to find the origins of COVID, identify missteps during the response to the pandemic and get closure on the policies that restricted normal American life at the time.
But answers to those questions were hard to come by in the 3.5 hour hearing before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Washington— The White House is telling lawmakers that President Joe Biden is preparing to sign off on an executive order that would shut down asylum requests at the U.S.-Mexico border once the average number of daily encounters hits 2,500 at ports of entry, with the border reopening only once that number declines to 1,500, according to several people familiar with the discussions.
The impact of the 2,500 figure means that the executive order could go into immediate effect, because daily figures are higher than that now.

Former and potentially future President Donald Trump was found "guilty" last Thursday on 34 felony counts in a hush money "trial." It's not just Trump they're going after, though with a weaponized and politicized justice system. As we've been covering, President Joe Biden's Department of Justice (DOJ) has been quite eager to prosecute prayerful pro-life activists using the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, including an elderly grandfather. Since then, more grandparents have been sentenced, including grandmothers in poor health.
Late last month, 59-year-old Heather Idoni was sentenced to 24 years in prison. She's already been incarcerated for nine months, which will count towards time served.

According to the radical left, a payment to silence someone from making potentially damaging statements to influence the outcome of a presidential election is a serious crime. A felony at that. That’s the entirely hocus-pocus legal theory behind Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Donald Trump that resulted in a conviction.
In that case, Barack Obama ought to be charged with a similar crime.
That's right, Obama also offered hush money to someone specifically to influence the 2008 election. The media never talked about it, and you can bet they’d have some amusing and laughable explanation for why what Obama did was “different.”

Given the specific and manipulative nature of Mrs. Sheila Jackson-Lee in the stories of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Freddie Grey, Philando Castile, Walter Scott and eventually George Floyd, it is difficult to find resilient grace and appropriate words for prayer.
Factually Ms. Sheila Jackson-Lee was/is one of the most divisive players of the racially toxic anger games in the past dozen years. Her commentary was consistently vitriolic, delivered from serpent tongue and devoid of honest review. That said, as the dark shadows move into receptive position, I am hopeful Ms Jackson-Lee will repent and provide her family peace during her transition.

Just a few weeks ago President Biden said that he has done all he can to handle the southern border. He said his hands were tied. Only Congress can straighten out the mess he deliberately created on his first day in office.
That is a lie, of course. The man who opened up the southern border through executive action is capable of reversing his executive actions. He knows it. He thinks you are stupid.
The Biden border crisis is intentional. 5,084,568 illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border since Biden took office, according to CBP. There is no way to count the number of gotaways so that number isn't included.

Rather, it is the issues — specifically, inflation, the economy, and immigration — that will matter. Put another way, it’s the issues, stupid.
As such, if Trump wants to continue leading Biden, the former president would be wise to avoid the trap of focusing on his conviction, including refraining from blasting it as “rigged.” Instead, he should talk specifically about his policies to strengthen

I am sure you recall those highly condescending and offensive words spoken by one Joe Biden four years ago during a podcast interview. Biden was insinuating that if you were a Black American who was confused about whether or not voting for him, well, you were not really Black. It reminds me of the insidious question posed to me by a young female student at Northwestern University asking me if I “identified as Black.” What in the Sam Hell does that mean? Well, for those of us attuned to the deranged woke identity politics of the left, the meaning is simple. Your skin color must determine your political associations.

One of the classic strategies in the Obama/Biden playbook is policy that sounds good in the short-term, but whose long-term consequences won’t be felt until after an election. That way if Democrats win, they’re insulated from voters holding them accountable; but if they lose, they can blame Republicans when things go south.
This was undoubtedly one of the plays the Biden administration had in mind for the gallingly misnamed Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). But this disastrous legislation hasn’t just sabotaged Americans’ wallets, it’s sabotaged their health as well.
Snuck into the IRA was a poorly drafted provision that attempted to lower out-of-pocket expenses on prescription drugs. T

Governor Ronald Reagan, in his 1967 inaugural address, famously remarked, “Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction.” Reagan today might have expanded on his theme by declaring that civilization itself is both fragile and can lost by a generation that recklessly spends its inheritance while neither appreciating nor replenishing it—if not ridiculing those who sacrificed so much to provide it.
Such is the noxious epitaph of the Baby Boomer generation that is now passing after a half-century of preeminence and whose Jacobin agendas have nearly wrecked the nation they inherited.

United Methodism’s largest overseas jurisdiction has voted to quit the denomination in response to the church’s divorcing sex from marriage at its governing General Conference earlier this month.
The United Methodist Church in the Ivory Coast voted on May 28 to exit the denomination. In 2022, this conference reportedly had over 1.2 million members. So, its departure means over one tenth of United Methodism has in one day left the denomination. Oddly, United Methodist News Service reported the vote very briefly in an emailed news digest but as of today has no article on its website. Perhaps it will post a fuller account later.

Donald Trump will be a 'loser president' and bring about an end to America's status as a global leader should he decide to end aid to Ukraine if he is elected president, Volodymyr Zelensky has declared.
The Ukrainian President took aim at Trump in a scathing interview last week in which he insisted his country 'would not put up with' any deals made between a Trump administration and Vladimir Putin that would see Kyiv sacrifice parts of the Donbas in return for peace.
And he said that any decision to cut off weapons and support to Ukraine would have dire consequences - not only for Trump personally, but also America's standing

The Queensland government recently placed a ban on pumping and dumping carbon dioxide into the rocks of the Great Artesian Basin.
This was an event rarely seen -- politicians stumbling onto a sensible energy policy. Burying CO2 would achieve nothing useful -- just more futile green waste.
But their ban on Carbon Capture and Underground Storage (CCUS) should be extended to all areas of Queensland, not just this one basin.
Even the blinkered Greens and the TikTok generation should recognize that today’s low levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere are too close to the red line of death, where all plant life will die (followed by animal life).

he pandemic patriarch Dr. Anthony Fauci got emotional when detailing death threats against him and his children, while also insisting taxpayer dollars were not used for risky gain-of-function research in China and he never used personal email for 'official business.'
His bombshell admission came before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic that has been seeking for over a year now to determine the origins of the pandemic that killed over a million Americans and millions more globally.
The fast-paced hearing slowed down briefly when Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Mich., asked Fauci about the personal toll

The next Trump administration – which is coming because America prefers the Fake Felon over the Skeevy Shower Daddy – must ruthlessly control the new media/information space, unlike last time. After my two previous columns talking about what will likely happen immediately after the election and what must happen immediately after the inauguration, it became clear there was more to say about the vital issue of preparing Trump 2.0 for success. The administration needs a revolutionary communications strategy. Information is power—time to start exercising it.
The regime media’s erotic spasms over the NYC kangaroo kourt konviction – and the free media’s backlash against it – reaffirm the new information reality.

First Lady Jill Biden showed up to a Delaware courthouse on Monday to support first son Hunter Biden on the first day of his gun trial. President Joe Biden, meanwhile, issued a statement from his Wilmington beach house expressing support for Hunter but declining to comment on the three federal charges he faces, which stem from a firearm purchase the younger Biden made in 2018 as he battled crack-cocaine addiction.
“I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today,” he said. “Hunter’s resilience in the face of adversity and the strength

In response to Americans’ outcry over the political prosecutions of Donald Trump and a Manhattan jury convicting the former president on 34 felony counts, President Joe Biden declared, “It’s irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged, just because they don’t like the verdict.” Coming from the Commander-in-Rigging, this proclamation means nothing.
Biden and those seeking to ensure his re-election have their hands all over Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution of the former president.

The bar said that Mondays in June will be “Hetero Male Monday” wherein “any heterosexual male dressed like a heterosexual male” will be rewarded with a free beer on tap.

The Biden campaign showing up at the Trump trial last week, right before the case was handed off to the jury, raised an outcry about how they were now confirming the political nature of the trial. They took the norms, tossed them to the ground, and stomped all over them with their actions. And they might have interfered in Donald Trump's ability to get a fair trial in the process.
But one of the more ridiculous aspects of their incredibly bad move was bringing along actor Robert De Niro to rant and lose his mind. De Niro even said he was going to be involved

Donald Trump has been convicted by a jury in Manhattan. “I was convicted. I’m appealing!” Most of us have a TV legal drama perspective. I rise to shine light on this process so that we can properly understand how a guilty verdict was reached in a case where Donald Trump did nothing illegal, immoral, or fattening.
A prosecution must satisfy conditions laid out in the Constitution, which is, should anyone forget, the highest law of the land. It specifies safeguards for the legal process. In the 5th Amendment, we find “No person… shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law…”

The Democratic National Committee was watching earlier this year as campaigns nationwide were experimenting with artificial intelligence. So the organization approached a handful of influential party campaign committees with a request: Sign onto guidelines that would commit them to use the technology in a “responsible” way. The draft agreement, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press, was hardly full of revolutionary ideas. It asked campaigns to check work by AI tools, protect against biases and avoid using AI to create misleading content.

During the pandemic, the American people started to feel that Big Government was very cozy with Big Pharma.
Now we know just how close they were.
New data from the National Institutes of Health reveals the agency and its scientists collected $710 million in royalties during the pandemic, from late 2021 through 2023. These are payments made by private companies, like pharmaceuticals, to license medical innovations from government scientists.

Joe Biden’s looming presence in the strange small city leaves nobody in any doubt of the message he is sending to Delaware special counsel David Weiss, to the prosecutors, the judge, and the jury pool being chosen Monday. You mess with my son; you mess with me.
It’s all very subtle, in a flagrant way, much like Joe’s impromptu visit to Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau and former lover of Hunter,

Mexico’s projected presidential winner Claudia Sheinbaum will become the first woman president in the country’s 200-year history.
“I will become the first woman president of Mexico,” Sheinbaum said with a smile, speaking at a downtown hotel shortly after electoral authorities announced a statistical sample showed she held an irreversible lead. “I don’t make it alone. We’ve all made it, with our heroines who gave us our homeland, with our mothers, our daughters and our granddaughters.”
“We have demonstrated that Mexico is a democratic country with peaceful elections,” she said.

Three grisly, gut-wrenching reports starkly contrast the sanity the world has long left behind and the Through-the-Looking-Glass unreality it inhabits today.
The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) issued two separate announcements relating to its discovery of the bodies of seven Hamas hostages, all apparently murdered during their abduction on Oct. 7.
Separately, families released video of the capture and brutal treatment that day of five bound, bloodied and bruised female IDF soldiers, with kidnappers suggesting they will be subject to violence and sexual assault. One woman’s father indicated the release was a “wakeup call to the world” of their continued captivity and suspected abuse.

For years, there have been “rumors” that Barack Obama is running the show for Joe Biden from behind the scenes.
Obama once said in a 2020 interview that he would be fine with running an election from his basement with an earpiece in his ear:
Barack Obama: “I used to say, if, if I could make an arrangement where I had a stand-in, a front man, a front woman and they had an earpiece in and I was in the basement in my sweats … I’d be fine with that.”

Releasing the audio recording of Joe Biden's bumbling interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur would make phony versions more believable, the Justice Department has claimed.
The White House is fighting a rearguard action to keep the tape secret after the president was described as an 'elderly man with a poor memory' by Hur during his investigation into the mishandling of classified documents.
A transcript revealed that the president forgot the year his son Beau died, when Trump was elected, and said 'I don't recall', 'I don't remember' and 'I have no goddamn idea' more than 100 times while cracking jokes and making car noises.

“Do you accept the verdict of the New York jury that found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 counts?”
That will be the question asked of every Republican from now until the presidential election in November, and if Republicans don’t know how to answer, they will look like idiots, which is exactly what the left-leaning media wants.
You can’t just say yes because the implied premise of the question is that the verdict was fair, and that could not be further from the truth. But you can’t just say no either, because the verdict is a fact, just like the O.J. verdict. It exists, and it has to be explained.

The conviction of former President Trump in the so-called hush-money trial has inevitably led to a lot of speculation concerning whether he will be sentenced to prison. A number of legal experts have suggested that it is unlikely. Normally this would be a reasonable prediction. Unfortunately, there was nothing normal about this trial. The “felonies” for which Trump was convicted were concocted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg based on a legal theory that had never been used in any court. As to presiding judge Juan Merchan, he is a political partisan bristling with conflicts of interest.

The stunning felony conviction of former President Donald Trump garnered headlines around the world and created sharp political arguments across the U.S. But did it affect the presidential race? The answer is yes. It seems to have actually helped Trump, the June I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
The poll was taken from Wednesday, May 29, through Friday, May 31. The verdict against Trump in New York state court was rendered on Thursday, May 30. So a significant share of the 1,675 registered voters who took the national online I&I/TIPP Poll actually knew that Trump had been found guilty of 34 felony counts.

A healthy dose of schadenfreude was served up on Sunday after pro-Hamas protesters blocked a "pride" parade in Philadelphia, PA.
Videos have emerged showing the two sides meeting head-on, with some holding signs reading "no pride in genocide." Half-naked men in bondage gear can be seen trying to escort the parade around the blockade. There appeared to be some pushing and shoving as well.
As the doctor in that "Godzilla" film from 2014 once said, "Let them fight." [Videos]
Let me start with the obvious question. What is with participants in these "pride" parades and their constant need to walk around in their underwear?

We saw Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler leading that train wreck of a campaign move outside the Trump trial in Manhattan with actor Robert De Niro. Whoever thought that up really should be canned for such a bad move because it immediately confirmed the political nature of the trial and how they were trying to use it in the election. It blew up all kinds of norms in the process.
You had them put De Niro out there ranting and raving about how former President Donald Trump wanted to destroy New York and the country and calling Trump supporters -- millions of Americans -- "clowns."

Riverside County, California, has historically been a pretty moderate-to-conservative place, historically speaking; it was the only Southern California county to vote to recall the impeccably coiffed Governor Gavin Newsom in 2021. The county's political party registration is 40.49 percent Democrat to 31.31 percent Republican, with the balance independent or "other parties." The county contains parts of six congressional districts, evenly split between Democrats and Republicans.
So, Riverside County is not really a far-right or far-left locale. In presidential elections, voters tended to lean Republican until 2008, after which it went for Democrats.
This year may be different if the elected county sheriff, Chad Bianco, is any indicator.
