Parents of Columbia students are being encouraged to demand refunds after the college cancelled all in-person classes as it struggles to get a grip on pro-Palestine protests. Embattled president Minouche Shafik announced that remote learning will remain in place for the college's 37,000 students until the end of the Spring semester amid the ongoing tensions. Turmoil at the university ramped up on Monday during the major Jewish holiday of Passover, when protesters camped out for the seventh day in an attempt to urge the school to divest from companies with financial ties to Israel.

A deadly man-made virus and Islam. Two reasons within 5 years to suspend classes one Ivy League school and counting. Adept at speeches, faculty meetings and analysis papers Shafik is in well over her head. A preeminent American university founded on Western concepts of knowledge, culture and a Christian God has turned to toxic mush in the hands of multiculturalism.

Class action lawsuits? Seems like all students (excluding the protesters) would have a claim now. And Jewish students have several additional claims. A quick search shows Columbia’s endowment to be nearly $14 billion. Go get ‘em!

Can I just say.. some snot nosed arrogant rich white kids tried this nonsense at Vandy not long ago. They literally broke into a building and manhandled security. Vandy expelled the entitled brats. THAT stopped the nonsense. Expel the trouble makers, bring charges against those who destroy property, make threats, intimidate and hurt others. Consequences work, especially with spoiled rich white progressive brats who consider Starbucks being out of soy milk for their vegan lattes the worst daily trauma they could ever have to face.

The end of the Spring Semester is almost here. So that means online final exams. Which means they are worthless. Easy solution: give everyone who didn't "demonstrate" an A and everyone who did an F.

This piece of trash needs to cancel her job, YESTERDAY! She is utterly incompetent other than crawling to restaurants with her pearls, Chanel shoes, Hermes bag and designer duds. Not much in the upstairs. Why she was ever hired I would not understand in a thousand years. A former Muslim professor who supposedly was thrown out at CU was crawling around the protesters. A Jewish professor who showed his credentials was not allowed on campus; his card was deactivated. Strange, president Shafik isn't it. But that is your peculiar campus now. Muslims, Hamas yes, Jews and Christians no.

The inmates are running the asylum. The warden makes big bucks, so she doesn't care. Being of Egyptian descent, the welfare of Jewish students may not be high on her list.

Hundreds of Texas troopers went into the University of Texas at Austin on Wednesday, in the latest standoff before authorities and pro-Palestine college students. Police have arrested at least four demonstrators after warning them they could face criminal charges if they did not disperse, as reported by the Texas Tribune. The rally at the Austin campus was organized by the university's Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSJ) chapter. The group said it was inspired by their 'comrades' at Rutgers, Yale and Columbia University, where in-person classes have been canceled due to the unrest sparked by an 'encampment for Gaza.'

The decades-old NASA Voyager 1 spacecraft has begun sending readable communications again after months of transmitting gibberish. Voyager 1 – the most distant human-made object in existence – has been sending back data from interstellar space for nearly 50 years after being launched in 1977. However, in November a glitch occurred that made the spacecraft's data about its environment and the health of its own systems unintelligible to the NASA scientists monitoring it. Famous for snapping photos of Jupiter, Saturn and their moons, Voyager 1 then returned readable communications on April 20, confirming it is still safely cruising outer space.

Hunger is rising in the United States with 12.8 percent of Americans claiming they struggled to afford food in 2022 – a 2.6 percent increase from the year prior. Information from the U.S. Department of Agriculture released October 2023 reveals that there were 17 million households who had trouble putting food on the table in 2022. The increase can be linked to a massive spike in inflation following the end of the pandemic and President Joe Biden is likely to take the brunt of the political backlash for the growing issue. Americans have lamented for the last few years about the spiking price of several food products such as meat, eggs and milk

Hate preacher Abu Hamza has boasted to US authorities the UK taxpayer will pick up the bill for his life if released - even putting his family on the payroll. The hook-handed cleric has told American prison bosses hard-working Britons will fund his care for “free” in his bid to be immediately discharged from his life sentence in the States on health grounds. Last night, Hamza’s handout brags sparked fury as taxpayers said they were “sick of being insulted by this tinpot terrorist.” The jihadi is currently in America’s notorious ADX Florence supermax prison - nicknamed the Alcatraz of the Rockies.

Denver and other Colorado communities have transformed schools into welfare agencies as tens of thousands of children of illegal border crossers flood into the state’s schools, where they get free food, clothing, shoes, healthcare, and education at taxpayers’ expense. The Washington Post reported the transformation of the Centennial State’s schools from educational facilities to full-on welfare agencies where kids of all ages — many of whom have never gone to school in their entire lives — are enrolled by the thousands. The paper began its story by talking about eleven-year-old Alberto, who was enrolled in a school in Aurora, Colorado. At eleven, Alberto had never attended school and spoke no English.

Outside the mob of Hamas supporters were chanting “Genocide Joe” while inside Joe Biden was trying to raise more money. Yet the terrorist supporters and the president both shared a funding source. The Soros clan has been accused of providing an estimated $15 million to the pro-terrorist groups storming cities in support of Hamas, and an estimated $758,000 already to Biden. Both of those are only partial estimates of much larger spending by the family of radical billionaires which have simultaneously been funding the anti-Israel movement, trojan horse Jewish groups and the Democratic Party politicians whom they are busy pressuring.

Is National Public Radio fair and balanced? Do they care what you think? NPR has a “public editor” to monitor listener complaints and concerns, but as we all know, the majority of their listeners are going to complain they’re not “progressive” enough. In 2021, Public Editor Kelly McBride appeared on Brian Stelter’s CNN podcast to praise NPR’s decision to allow their journalists to go to (leftist) public protests so they can “bring their full humanity to work with them.” When Stelter asked about NPR’s critics, McBride dismissed any conservative complaints about a leftist tilt because they are not “genuinely interested in improving NPR.”

A Republican-led effort to pass another border security bill failed on Saturday shortly before the House is expected to pass $95 billion in foreign aid funding. The bill, which failed 215 to 199, contained many components of the conservative H.R. 2 border bill, which has not been touched by the Democrat-led Senate since it passed in May 2023. The failed measure proposed immediate construction of a border wall, asylum restrictions and the reinstatement of Donald Trump's Remain in Mexico policy, which Democrats despise.

President Joe Biden has repeatedly said he won’t hike taxes on anyone earning less than $400,000, but then this week he promised on X to hike taxes on just about everyone. Now, to be fair, Biden may not have understood that’s what he’s saying. Letting the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expire and “stay expired” would be a massive middle-class tax hike because the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was a massive middle-class tax cut. Yes, wealthy people also saw their taxes reduced by the TCJA, but the law actually shifted a greater portion of the tax burden onto the wealthy. The TCJA doubled the child tax credit
