is a prescription for poverty

Karl Marx would be proud: Bernie Sanders has urged taking another step toward the philosopher’s envisioned utopia by proposing to mandate a four-day work week In communist society, Marx wrote, workers would be liberated to “hunt in the morning, fish in the afternoon, raise cattle in the evening, criticize after dinner, just as I have in mind, without ever becoming hunter, fisherman, shepherd, or critic.” Needles to say that’s not how communism turned out. Yet the belief that work is basically a capitalist imposition that is unnatural and bad for people still holds sway on the left, and Sanders is, accordingly,

I thought God had had enough of Bernie the Red when the heart attack (do I recall correctly?) took him off the campaign trail. Amazingly Bernie survived and grew even stronger in his mission to officially usher in communism.
He gives Satan some stiff competition.

Bernie found a way to live without working but that doesn't mean it will work for everybody, just those who spend their lives in government. Australia, Germany and France all tried this experiment and it soon failed for all of them. Twenty dollars an hour and a thirty-two hour work sounds good now but thirty dollars an hour and a twenty-four hour work week will start sounding better. The end result is that everybody becomes poor, food is unaffordable and the government owns everything. See the old USSR or the CCP for the best examples.

Just the way the wind blows. Eventually we will come down to every February 29 people work. I wouldn't mind it for the Post Office and I'm tired of carrying junk mail from the Post Office Box to the trashcan.

I think we have that right now, with work from home policies.

Since Bernie's work ethic is questionable, remember he was kicked out of a commune because he didn't do anything, a 32 hour work week is would be a burden to him.

Seriously, with AI getting smarter, and robots getting cheaper, and the combination being more than capable of doing the work of most minimum wage workers, it seems like a really stupid time to suggest business-killing ideas like this!!!!
But you really can't ever accuse a lie-beral Demon-Rat of being smart enough to grasp basic Economics!!!!!

Well Bernie and the socialist Democrats could change the old fashioned traditional seven day week into a new eight day week each comprising two four day work weeks, thus creating the need for one hundred percent more employees to fill all those new four day work week jobs across the country. That way the Democrat socialists could put a hundred million or so of today’s incoming illegal aliens to work in the USA, as Bernie and the leftist and socialist Democrats transform the vast majority of the growing illegal alien population into tens of millions of future leftist and socialist Democrat supporters and voters. Who could have problem with that as there would be “free” abortions for all?

AOC says a three -day week would improve our lives even faster.
But she warns that some experts are wary of ending work completely.

Four-day work weeks are the most we can expect of the "elected class." And they're goofing off from about noon on day Four. The rest of us that feed, harness and pull the oxen can't afford to stop for a moment, or we'd be up to our armpits in ox poop. That would even include the DNC, who aver that theirs doesn't even stink.

I work at a university. They do offer flex time and for me it's good. I go at 7 am and get off at 3 pm. Monday-Friday. In the summer, I work 4 days a week from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. It works for me, it works for my employer. But I would not make it law - it wouldn't work for every business and owners need choices.
I'll bet anything that I work a lot harder than Bernie.

One size fits all rules and regulations from the government never works.
And neither does Bernie.
