Black activists seeking $15 billion in
reparations, call on ‘White churches’

The Boston Task Force on Reparations called on "White churches" to step up and pay the Black community back for racial inequities that root back to the trans-Atlantic slave trade, according to reports. The Boston Globe reported that Black and White clergy members met in Roxbury for a press conference intended to be held outside, though it was instead held in the basement of the Resurrection Lutheran Church on Saturday because of rain.

Comments:

It’s never and will never be enough. So, go pound sand. Wilberforce led the Christian charge to end slavery. Name another religion or movement anywhere in the world or in history that did the same (I really hope there was another). Then, come talk and rationally state your case.

What a great way to increase your weekly attendance at masses and services - take money from people who never owned slaves and pay it to people who were never enslaved.

It’s easy to blame your failures on others, but achieving success is straightforward if you try. If blacks can accomplish the following they will be successful in the USA. 1) Earn an education. 2) obey the law and respect others. 3) work a job so your self sufficient and take care of your family. Once blacks achieve these simple goals we can listen to their excuses for failure.

Yeah, I have no doubt that certain white organizations that call themselves "churches" -- but don't bother following anything in that pesky Bible -- will be happy to ask their few remaining members to do just that. Hopefully that will be the final nail in the coffin for these faux lie-beral "churches".

So tired of grifters. The “dead horse” is now concave on this issue. Instead of looking 200 years ago why not put the effort into making better economies in the black neighborhoods? You keep denigrating your own culture by painting them as fellow grifters whining about the past. Why not encourage more entrepreneurs and less ghetto life? If these grifters put half their energy into breaking the drug and crime culture that permeates inner cities and channeled their strengths in helping the new generation in this area to reach higher instead of whine louder. Grrrr I hate these shills as painting black people as only worthy to be given money because they are incapable of being independent billionaires like Condoleeza Rice, Colon Powell, Dr. Ben Carson, George Washington Carver…..so many very talented people told to stay on the plantation and keep their share…grrrrr

My understanding is that black males between the ages of 15 and 40..... about 3% of the population..... commit over HALF of the Murders. I DEMAND MY reparations for having to pay the increased cost of the police, legal system, enlarged jails -it costs something like $80,000 a year to keep each killer locked up.... as well as the increased insurance costs, and the overall cost to American taxpayers! I DEMAND MY reparations for all of my working career, to have to go 'above and beyond' to overcome the RACISM of so-called 'Affirmative Action', which advanced favored racial groups -at MY expense- in the workplace. ----------------------- In 1911, Booker T. Washington wrote: There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. Those words are still so true today, more than 100 years after Booker T. Washington made that observation….

In a plot fit for an Indiana Jones film, Nazi U-boats once ferried saboteurs to the United States, dropping them off in rubber dinghies along the East Coast under cover of darkness. Their mission was dubbed “Operation Pastorius” and targets included factories, plants, and rail lines — namely Altoona’s famous “Horseshoe Curve,” a railroad engineering marvel built in 1854 vital to the U.S. shipments of steel, medicine, rations, and even troops. The saboteurs, who landed in Long Island and Jacksonville, Fla., had also set their sights on Newark’s Penn Station and a cryolite metals plant in Philadelphia.
