Donald Trump is seriously considering Florida Senator Marco Rubio as his running mate, according to a new report.
NBC revealed on Thursday that it had spoken with "six people familiar with the presumptive Republican nominee's search for a 2024 running mate" and that Rubio is now a serious contender. The outlet reported:
"The list is long, and it's extremely early in any kind of process," one Trump adviser said. "No one has been directly reached out to yet, and I do not expect that for some time."
But Trump's apparent seriousness about Rubio, a 52-year-old, third-term senator, hints at the former president's priorities

I'm sure I'll get booed down but I still like Sarah Palin. But I'll accept anyone Trump wants.

1. He’s a resident of Florida. VP must be from another state. Does no one read the Constitution?
2. Rubio is a Bushy. Pence II

Doubt it since they are both residents of the same state

Neither of Rubio's parents was a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth. That makes Rubio a first generation Native Born Citizen, not a second generation Natural Born Citizen.

President Garfield was trying to heal a fractured party when he chose Chester Arthur for VP. What happened next is somebody in that faction of the party assassinated Garfield to drill down to the POTUS he wanted. You have to be careful your VP is not more appealing than you are. it is tricky for sure because Biden overdid it. But a thought question: If Agnew had not quit, if Ford had not become VP, would Nixon have been driven out? I think not.

Is there not a provision that the VP candidate cannot come from the same State?
Some have said that is why Governor DeSantis could not be on the slate.
Senator Rubio is also from Florida as well...

Florida is a safe state for the GOP. Surely, PT will pick someone who might help him carry a Swing State. I like Rubio and was supporting him in 2016 before PT swamped the competition. Love Ted Cruz but he was born in Canada and didn't want the squabble over where he was born. Whoever (or is it whomever) PT picks it will be a surprise to me. Personally I'd like Vivek because he would cut Heels Up to ribbons in a debate.

If he wants someone who has run for president before, I suggest Rand Paul.

I can see Trump picking Tulsi - turn her loose on the Dem's failed policies. Lots of good PR in a joint Republican/Democrat ticket, especially since she was in the military.

Not thrilled with this possible, pick. Trump needs an articulate and take no prisoners VP or democrats will absolutely destroy him or her. Four years is not going to get the job done and you have to have someone committed and willing to finish the course. Has he considered Josh Hawley? I really like him and he is sharp as a tack. I like Vivek Ramaswamy because he can articulate our agenda and can reach young people. I also like Kari Lake because she is fearless and will not back down and knows the media. Trump needs a warrior by his side because this war will not be won in four years.

This would be a very bad idea. Rubio is a bigger Deep State guy than Pence ever imagined being. Rubio has tried several times to push an open borders bill, NOT a man to trust.

Since the Senate is a stake here I do not believe it would be wise to remove any sitting Republican Senator to leave the senate for the VP position.

Why? Where did this come from? Rubio? Of all the people considered to be Trump's VP pick Rubio ain't one of them.

Pure speculation because Trump has a large field of talent in line ahead of Marco. I too would like Sarah Palin as a VP or a cabinet member because she is a true American who went through the same mud-slinging that Trump has but she did not have the resources to fight it and McCain did not lift a finger to help her.

#3 read the constitution. The ELECTORS from FL to the electoral college cannot vote for Pres and VP who are both from Fla. Is Trump relocating?? Is Trump willing to forego 30 electoral votes for his VP and possibly have a Dem VP?? Get off the crack pipe.

Not my choice, but if it helps DJT win I'll take it. Just remember that in 4 years, Rubio would be the Pubbie favorite.
