Nikki Haley suffered another blowout loss to Donald Trump in Michigan on Tuesday. It’s not a primary—you cannot say that when one candidate consistently gets put through the shredder in every contest. Haley has yet to win anything but insists on giving the GOP base a choice. Does she not know that the party has already done so? There may be some ambivalence and skepticism about a third Trump run, but what is unequivocal is that the Republican Party does not want Nikki Haley. Haley got damaged out of the gate in Iowa, and her aspirations to be the 2024 Republican nominee should have been cremated

The former congresswoman who set her public career ablaze by trying to take on Donald Trump has returned like crabgrass to weigh in on the Supreme Court hearing arguments on presidential immunity from former President Donald Trump’s legal team. This decision is bound to delay Special Counsel Jack Smith’s election interference and mishandling of classified document trials against Trump. It’s a win for Trump, so Liz Cheney is beside herself.

In recent days, Border Patrol officials revealed that just since October 1st -- the start of the new fiscal year -- nearly 6,500 known criminals have been apprehended at the border by US authorities. That number likely doesn't even come close to reflecting the number of criminals who've entered the country during that period of time, given the fact that the American government has uneven-to-no access to arrest records in foreign countries. It's also quite likely that at least some illegal immigrants with criminal records inside America also fall through the cracks, as database coordination can be imperfect, to say the least.

I understood from the Star Tribune headline over the AP story yesterday that the IDF had massacred some 100 Gazans seeking food and water. As of this morning, the AP is sticking with the story with a Rafah dateline. It leads with this observation: “Israeli troops fired on a crowd of Palestinians racing to pull food off an aid convoy in Gaza City on Thursday, witnesses said.”
