Republican Steve Garvey is polling ahead of the Democrats in the running for California’s Senate seat, now in a “statistical tie” with front-runner Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).
With the Super Tuesday primaries next week, the University of California, Berkeley, Institute of Governmental Studies released a final poll showing Garvey with support from 27% of likely voters, followed by Schiff at 25%. Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA), who has been competing with Garvey for second place in recent weeks, fell to third in the new poll unveiled Friday. Porter earned 19%, and Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) trailed the three contenders with 8%.

What a great thing it would be if Garvey defeats that America hating S.O.B.

Ok California! Elect another POS like Schiff and keep wondering why your state is circling the drain!
Electing a pathological liar is absolutely insane!

Along with Garvey there are three Democrats running for senator. The top two vote getters will run against each other in the general election, not matter their party. As of now it looks like Shiff and Garvey are tied, according to latest polls, with around 25% each. The other two Democrat nutjobs have around 27% combined. Upon their defeat much of their support will switch to Shiff in the general. Still, this will be the first time in many years that one of those running will be a Republican. If Garvey is super tough and aggressive against Shiff he may have a chance. Not much of one, but hope springs eternal.

As #4 points out, if he gets through the primary the odds of winning in November will be 3-to-1 against him. Every commercial break on AM radio and local television has at least one ad claiming that Garvey is "too MAGA" for California. Most are paid for by a PAC that favors no dem candidate - they just want Garvey primary'd.

If it's close, they'll cheat their way into the seat.

It would be a public service if Garvey could knock out either Schiff-for-brains or Porter in the primary. But not much chance he will prevail in the general election. California electorate is just too far gone. And conservative types like my entire family have fled to red states (Idaho for us). So our votes are gone.

TK and I just filled in our primary ballots for Steve Garvey. Finally for the first time since they forced the stupid "Jungle Primary" upon us, we will have a Republican on the November ballot for U.S. Senator. Yee Haw!

The first anti-Garvey ad I heard I thought was FOR him. Same thing with all the anti-MAGA adds! It's not until almost the end when I find out they oppose the candidate. Pro second amendment! Against open borders! "Too MAGA for California." Aiyeeeeee!
Got my vote.

I picked him. Hey Californians tend to vote for "names they know, (Pelosi, Diane Feinstien and so forth) and celebrities. He has a chance.

The ballots come in the mail. There are ballot collection boxes everywhere. So if somehow, someone, so having the ballots going only to live eligible voters is a challenge. Didn't True the Vote get a million "voters" removed from the rolls in LA county? They were ineligible or did not exist. Across a state of just under 40 million how many registrations are valid? So Garvey goes in to the general with the polls showing 2 to 1 against him, he fights, pulls even, pulls ahead and then?? They count and count and somehow the ballots for Schiff just keep showing up.

with our "top two" system it will be a major victory if we get a Republican to even vote for in the general.

California is so screwed up, that unless terrorists come up from the southern border and blow up all the Starbucks, they will keep pulling the lever with the D next to it.

The irony is that Schiff probably will still win even though it is now known that he and his wife live in Maryland, have for many years, and lies about his residence either in Cali or Maryland.
