So Who Will Trump Pick For Veep?

Original Article

With Nikki Haley disintegrating and being discarded like a floppy paper straw foisted upon us by the same kind of unsatisfied suburban wine women she hoped to use to win the nomination, it’s time to look ahead at Donald Trump’s options for his second Veep. I’ll save you time – Mike Pence is not on the list. Oh, if he had only just done his job and sat there being pious and sober, but instead, he had to try to be Mitt without the edge. During Trump 1.0, Pence fulfilled the requirements of a modern Veep – the Veep used to be the campaign assassin,

Comments:

Trump mini-me or not, my choice is Vivek Ramaswamy. Besides everything he said when he was still running, you can be assured that when it comes down to it, he will never stab President Trump in the back, as did Pence!!

Trump may again pick the wrong person, as he did so many times with cabinet picks. He still has RINO advisers around him like he did during his presidency. Ramaswamy is not a good pick. He said whatever staunch conservatives wanted to hear.

My first choice would be Ron DeSantis. But! I don't think he would accept the job. Second choice would be Bob O'Brien. Trump could give him the Border and know it would be whipped into shape in no time. Then he could go to work on the many other messes that the Biden Administration left for us! he would be an Excellent VP and yes, even an Excellent President down the Road!

I had never even heard of Pence before Trump picked him. My worry is Trump has such a bad track records with key hires. I am praying he has someone he listens too this time helping guide him on staff. And fire all of Biden/0bama/Clintons people buried everywhere in the goverment jobs ASAP! Clean house.

Sarah Hickabee Sanders would be a great choice, but I think that perhaps Tim Scott would bring a lot of votes with him. Ben Carson would be wonderful, too, and way smarter than Scott.

Gotta pick someone who can win POTUS in 2028. Carson (wonderful man) is too old. Back to HUD to find the budget discrepancies. Vivek to be czar (no Senate confirmation) as Budget Reduction Analyst. Tulsi -something with the VA. She can be useful but not controversial. Tucker Carlson- interim press secretary

Looking at it through the lens of 2028, there are several good picks here. So far I like Kristi Noem, but could be talked into Rand Paul and Kari Lake. No matter what, the choice is his, not mine. As long as he's on the ballot thats who I'm voting for. Only Hillary or Nancy as veep would change that.

I think Kurt is pretty much right on about all of the names he mentioned as possible vice president candidates. My choices still remain the same, mainly because they would govern pretty much like Trump and could easily take over in 2028. They are DeSantis because of his governing in the great state of Florida, but there's the two candidates in the same state. I hadn't thought about Robert O'Brien, but he does sound like an excellent choice. Third would be J.D. Vance. He is young, but he would be a much better choice than Ramaswamy. Both Vance and DeSantis spoke against Trump at various times, but I think Trump is big enough to forget that because our country is at stake. Ramaswamy would bring less to the ticket than Tim Scott; seem too eager to want the job and wouldn't help the ticket, in my humble opinion.

I could never trust him to not sell out for political gains. Amazing to me that anyone could think that President Trump would ever consider a back stabber like him.

Former President Donald Trump's victory in the Supreme Court 14th Amendment case, together with delay and disorder in the criminal cases against him, has set off panic among Democrats who hoped to use prosecutions and other legal maneuvers to keep Trump from winning a second term. "Supreme Court ruling darkens critics' hopes for a judicial curb on Trump," read one headline in the Washington Post. You might find it outrageous that people in positions of great power and responsibility, in the midst of a campaign, would use the justice system to "curb" one of the two major presidential candidates. You might find it outrageous that those people --

As expected, some of the media reactions on Super Tuesday were unhinged. Others were fraught with outright fiction, like how CNN’s Alyssa Farah Griffin tried to spin how Trump Republicans aren’t most of the GOP. Has she seen how this primary is going? On MSNBC, it was a different story. If Republicans want an ad that they can run throughout this cycle, please clip this panel discussion between Jen Psaki, Rachel Maddow, and Joy Reid, where they mock immigration as a rising issue among voters. Some aptly noted how this was yet another example of the elite media mocking rural voters—they hate them.

After getting trounced on Super Tuesday, Nikki Haley will officially end her quest for the Republican presidential nomination on Wednesday. Sources tell CNN that she will announce her withdrawal from the race in Charleston, S.C., at 10 a.m. ET. She is not expected to immediately endorse Donald Trump. Haley was so far behind Trump that many expected her to drop out after New Hampshire, yet after each defeat, she remained defiant and resolved to continue her campaign. She went on to lose the Nevada primary to "none of these candidates"; she also lost big in her home state of South Carolina, where she served as governor.

If you jump in the time machine with me, we'll go back to the days of protests over mask mandates, business closures, social distancing, and lockdowns. In those days, many people were incensed that the government had disrupted so many lives with a list of restrictions and warnings that many credited with helping foment the social unrest in the months and years that followed. COVID-19 protests are making a comeback. But this time, the shoe is on the other foot. Or, more appropriately, the mask is on the other face. This time around, protestors are gathering later this month to express their ire

Jake Sherman of Punchbowl News has that. [Tweet] But it's the "why" behind Biden's lagging numbers that makes the collapse of his support so easy to explain. Only one in four voters think the country is moving in the right direction.
