Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, who is overseeing the case against former President Donald Trump, made a small donation of $150 to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ campaign prior to his appointment. McAfee, who was sworn in on Feb. 1, 2023 after being appointed by Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, made his donation in June 2020 while still working as an assistant U.S. Attorney for the Department of Justice (DOJ), according to financial disclosures. He will soon have to decide whether Willis should be disqualified over allegations that she financially benefited from appointing her romantic partner, Nathan Wade, to work on the Trump case.

Fulton County, GA plays with loaded dice.

Whether she "personally financially benefited" is only ONE of the causes to have her removed, and even disbarred...even the "Appearance of impropriety" is sufficient grounds to remove her...the admitted campaign finance law violations, tossed off in court as if they were nothing is also grounds. Her decision to even press the "Novel, unprecedented, unique, never before heard of case", and all of her actions after can "appear" to be an improper personal political benefits activity. Her signing onto, and having nine other prosecutors sign onto a copy of Wades Declaration to the divorce court that is now admittedly false/perjury, and having IT admitted as evidence into THIS court? Also very serious grounds.

We will see how McAfee handles his own conflict of interest. It appears the fix is in, since he let her get away with her boorish, entitled behavior for hours on the stand last week. It is despicable that Willis and Wade are still being paid given their obvious lack of ethics or legal skills.

If Kemp appointed McAfee - - that means McAfee is a jelly-spined RINO - - who will stab President Trump in the back - - if it means keeping his cushy judge job. Nothing good will come of this.

My sense has been that Fani will skate. This helps to confirm those suspicions. I expect that will step down "on her own" and be replaced. The end goal is to keep the trial in Fulton County. Fani is expendable, Fulton County is not.

For whatever it’s worth, some major corporations “expect” their management employees to “voluntarily contribute/donate” financially at times to something political so what may appear to be a personally willing financial contribution may be in the “voluntarily contribute/donate” category; further, according to the New York Times, one of Judge McAfee’s first jobs after graduating from law school a decade ago was in the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and the division, at the time, was led by Fani T. Willis according to a former district attorney and another lawyer who worked in the office at the time.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden goes into next year’s election with a vexing challenge: Just as the U.S. economy is getting stronger, people are still feeling horrible about it. Pollsters and economists say there has never been as wide a gap between the underlying health of the economy and public perception. The divergence could be a decisive factor in whether the Democrat secures a second term next year. Republicans are seizing on the dissatisfaction to skewer Biden, while the White House is finding less success as it tries to highlight economic progress.

President Joe Biden is considering an immigration crackdown that closes the border if more than 8,500 try to cross in one day, a law repeatedly used by former President Donald Trump. The law would, if the migrant crisis reached those numbers per day, unilaterally enact a sweeping ban at the southern border, according to three people familiar with the deliberations. The administration, stymied by lawmakers who rejected a negotiated border bill earlier this month, has been exploring options that Biden could deploy on his own without congressional approval.

It's been a hell of a week for the Joe Biden foreign policy shop at Foggy Bottom, and that has now extended to Turtle Bay. The two-state solution that Joe Biden wants to impose on the two parties currently at war in the Middle East, a solution neither side will ever accept in the near future, is a myth that's also threatening to collapse the Democratic Party from within. If Joe Biden supports Israel, he loses the Arab-American voting bloc in Michigan,
