Fox News Channel’s Peter Doocy: New

Changing’ With Biden Ahead

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows President Joe Biden opening up a 6-point lead over Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, with Biden taking 50 percent to Trump’s 44 percent in the poll released Wednesday. On Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends Thursday morning, White House correspondent Peter Doocy said “the trends here may be changing” after Trump had consistently led in national polls of a hypothetical rematch of the 2020 election—and Quinnipiac’s own poll in December found the race “too close to call,” with Biden just one point ahead, 47 percent to 46.

As Rush Limbaugh would say before each election cycle, up until the final four weeks before election day, the goal of mass-market pollsters is not to provide an accurate reflection of public opinion, it is to shape public opinion. They will tweak their selection criteria and questions to produce a result that maximizes liberal engagement and depresses conservatives. Nobody should believe any poll conducted more than a month out. (The only possible exception to this are internal polls paid for by the campaigns themselves.) But when we get close to election day, that behavior changes. Now the polls produced by the big polling outfits will help define their reputation for accuracy moving forward. No pollster wants to be known as “the one who got it wrong” and so they actually begin to reflect the public's actual position.

FTA: "A new Quinnipiac University poll shows President Joe Biden opening up a 6-point lead over Republican frontrunner Donald Trump. The Quinnipiac poll showed former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley leading Biden by five percentage points." Sounds like the pollsters are desperate to frame the conversation with obviously false numbers.

Stop believing in or listening to the polls. They are meaningless and will be manipulated as the election gets closer to either make Trump supporters complacent or somehow show FJB closing the gap and getting ahead. Another Deep State manipulation factor.

"1600 self identified as to party, and as being registered voters".. .Biden is upside down and falling on EVERY major issue and policy they ask about, the only place he gained is with "Women"(or self declared women)...and in the one metric/question that is completely subjective, has no policy attached, is simply a talking point..."Protecting Democracy". By party they claim a 3.5+ Margin of error for each, but then claim it is 2.2 margin of error overall.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden goes into next year’s election with a vexing challenge: Just as the U.S. economy is getting stronger, people are still feeling horrible about it. Pollsters and economists say there has never been as wide a gap between the underlying health of the economy and public perception. The divergence could be a decisive factor in whether the Democrat secures a second term next year. Republicans are seizing on the dissatisfaction to skewer Biden, while the White House is finding less success as it tries to highlight economic progress.

Biden on Saturday defeated the other long-shot Democrats on South Carolina’s ballot, including Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips and author Marianne Williamson. His reelection campaign invested heavily in driving up turnout in what it saw as a test drive of its efforts to mobilize Black voters, a key Democratic bloc central to Biden’s chances in a likely November rematch against former President Donald Trump.

While some consider disruptive antics such as this alienating to the public, research into social movements shows there is strategy behind it. By combining radical forms of civil disobedience with more mainstream actions, such as lobbying and state-sanctioned demonstrations, activists not only grab the public’s attention, they make less aggressive tactics more acceptable and possibly more successful. I study the role of disruptive politics and social movements in global climate policy and have chronicled the ebb, flow and dynamism of climate activism. With today’s political institutions largely focused on short-term desires over long-term
