One of the tricks of knowing when a leftist judge is pulling a fast one is if the decision is really, really long. (snip) Indeed, generally speaking, in my thirty-five years as an attorney, I’ve never seen an appellate court uphold damages so disproportionate to actual injuries suffered—and again, there were no injuries in this case. The fact that there were no injuries in itself means that the case, from ig to zack, denied Trump due process.
I don’t see the judgment surviving an appeal, that’s for sure. (snip) And so, I think that this latest assault on Trump, rather than filling people with revulsion, will bring many around.

Judge Arthur Engoron must have worked on that 92 page opinion for several months.

"No, no!" said the partisan judge. "Sentence first–verdict afterward." This judge definitely fell down the rabbit hole. I was waiting for him to spout.....off with his head!

It's more proof that the Dems are crooked and cheat everything, and that they MUST be defeated.

In all my years (79) I have never heard such hate and disgust as that which spews from the ugly mouth of Letitia James against Donald Trump and his family. And what kind of voters would put someone this hateful in a public office? Just take a look at the elected officials of New York State and the city of New York. BTW, I remember reading that Soy Boi Eric Adams won the mayorship of NYC by 240,000. I'm not sure if only 240,000 voted for him or if he had 240,000 more than another candidate. How many millions live in NYC? President Trump is sued, no one claims damages but he is not allowed to present a defense. I know this post has a lot of stuff, but I am just disgusted with the way he has been treated in this, our America. And just look at the hot mess going on in Atlanta. ALL OF THIS IS BECAUSE OF DEMOCRATS.

FTA: “ As far as Democrats are concerned, the taint is in place now.” And this was their goal. The process is the punishment.

The goal was to tie up Trump's time and money. Legalities are not the issue.
I hope he is permitted to sue once the appeal is successful.

Engoron should be an embarrassment to every Judge in this country, and he should receive sanctions..
It is an insult to jurisprudence to leave this biased and totally unfair person sitting on the bench.

I'm kind of curious. Since there was no fraud, no one lost any money, goods or reputation, where the heck does that $350+ million go? Do the judge and the prosecutor split it between them?

Just like any investigation or prosecution looks at the defendant’s motive. The Appellate process must look at the prosecution’s motive here.

Regardless of outcome, if I were Trump, I'd move every last business and sell off every bit of real estate I owned, OUT of not only the city but the stinking state...bet they'd howl about the loss of tax revenue then...

Does any one know what are next steps for Trump if appellate court does NOT reverse? Is it Supreme Court?

No surprise, as this partisan leftist and socialist Democrat Judge made it known before the trial ever started that he decided that Trump was guilty. This is a pure Democrat “law fare” case designed to use the courts to legally persecute any business person, in this case Trump, who owns a lot of real estate who dares to enter politics in New York to oppose the corrupt Democrat establishment. The underlying New York law has never been used to prosecute big business entities before. If the politicized ruling in this case is not overturned on appeal, you can safely bet that a lot of businesses thinking of relocating to New York will think twice about that, and businesses in New York that could become subject to such political persecution of that sort will think about cutting their losses and relocate out of New York.

First, a long decision is probably mostly a cut and paste job.
Second, the appeal is within the NY system, i.e. blue state.
Third, if they think it will go Trump's way they'll delay the decision until after November.
Lastly where's the Chamber of Commerce on this?

FTA: "What this means is that Americans have only one form of protest left to them: Voting for Trump."
This is the best statement of The Single Issue In The 2024 election and "Why Trump" so far written.

The way I figure it...the phony E Jean Carroll rape hoax and the over the top fraud award should be more
than enough to make Trump the next president. Thank you lib psychos.

Trump should "Gift" the use of 100% of his NY Real estate to Native Americans, in "Partial/personal Reparations for the taking of Manhattan from them" for the next three years that the Court had declared as oversight authority period....depriving NY of ALL Tax Revenue from those properties under the Indigenous Peoples exemtion, then take a separate Tax Deduction for that "Gift" of double the $370Million.
Leaving future potential "Continuing Partnership Interest" in the properties with those Native American entities to be negotiated at a future date.
Several states "Skew Blue" only because of the near unanimous vote from their native american population for the Dems.
Trump could turn this into a 2-3 state pickup if played right.
"They screwed you, they are screwing me, lets get together and screw THEM back"
The Seminole Tribes in Florida are already an economic powerhouse, have learned to use the system to make them the richest "Per Capita" peoples in North America.. every member is worth $Hundreds of thousands. They not only own their own casinos in Fla, but ALL of the "Hard Rock" stuff, large chunks of major chain stores, restaurants, hotels and other out of state casinos.
Trump can bring them and the Seneca, as well as other "Nations" of New York together, put together a mutual beneficial agreement, for ALL involved, and perhaps even add in his Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, and other properties to boot. Yanking three full years of Tax Revenues from "Dark Blue" cities in the process...with the "potential" to leave those tax exemptions and agreements in place until he finishes his presidency, as part of his "Hands off" separation from his investments while in office..

#20 - Bravo! That is the most brilliant and creative idea I've ever read. I seriously recommend sending your suggestion to the Trump campaign, perhaps to more than one subdivision. We're all in this together. MAGA.
