Budget cut-bolstered attrition set the Big Apple up for a “dramatic turn for the worse” as police officers have turned in their badges in staggering numbers.
A microcosm of the managed decline seen at the national level, New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ (D) succession to Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) in putting leftist agendas ahead of basic safety and operations measurably set the city back decades.
As resources were reallocated to accommodate the out-of-control influx of illegal aliens, disenchanted and disgruntled members of the NYPD continued resigning in droves, even as they were short of the requirements to receive full pensions, according to the NYPD pension data.

2500? We have no more than two deputies on the road after dark, and its a huge county. They mostly stay to the area where they get the most calls, so we rarely see one.
So how do we survive without them? Easy. We respect each others property, we dont start trouble, and we stay armed. And everyone knows it.

I’m suspecting martial law shortly. Either that, or total chaos.
The level of lawlessness we’re seeing, coupled with non-integrated “immigrants,” is unsustainable to our country.

I can't understand how ANY NYC cop stays on the job with the hellish thugs that are running that city, and the destructive, pro-criminal DA.

If you value your life, stay away from NYC. In fact, stay out of cesspool NYS. Period.

As more and more cops leave due to retirement of just because they are tired of getting stabbed in the back, things will descend into chaos. The thugs know they likely won't get hard time, and the city is full of immigrants who will eventually take what they want after the taxpayers are tired of paying for their room and board. There is no going back.

GWGB, or in this case, go woke, get more crime. Are progs really this dumb or is this deliberate to provoke chaos and Cloward-Piven?

Suicide by voting for the communist death democrats is on full display here. Voting for and being a member of the Communist Death Democrats can now be accurately classified as a Suicide Death Cult. The smart cops are getting the hell out of NYC while they can.

The cops with honor and integrity resigned, leaving behind the rest who stand around and watch crimes take place on every street, in every store. The streets and subways are now jungles and you don't dare stop at a light or they grab your car at gunpoint. There is no good reason to go there.

Obozo's plan is working. He stated he wanted to fundamentally change the country, but he never said how or why. He left it as an open statement so people would have their own interpretation of what he meant. Now we know.

The NYPD isn't what is use to be - they couldn't even prevent a bunch of Pro-Hamas idiots from obstructing the Thanksgiving Day parade. Coming to a streaming site near you: Death Wish 2024.

That's the plan. The same plan for every democratic run city. When enough cops leave, the cities turn into total chaos and anarchy reigns. That's when the communist democrats plan B kicks into effect. The military takes over the streets and we will then transition to a police state. With that, all of your rights and freedoms are gone. Welcome to Cuba, Venezuela and every other police state. Wake up already.

Would you want to be a police officer when you can be found personally liable for actions taken in a split second, or even put in jail for years, or life. Or in the case Derek Chauvin, framed by authorities and sent to 20 plus years in prison, then stabbed while there. No, I think most people would pass on the opportunity to be a police officer today.

Poster #2 could be a neighbor. My town in FL has no police department. On rare occasions we see a Deputy on the road but we seldom need one. I wonder why there could be such a difference from Progressive cities.?

Can't blame them....obama/biden's border joke has left New York just as they wanted...a broken city left to the rats to cheat and lie...so happy I'm not a citizen there...china has destroyed the big blue cities without firing a shot....invasion from within ....

Same with DC. All of those idiots who demanded the de-funding of the police are now crying for new recruits. 900 car-jackings so far this year is just one example of the insanity being allowed there. My extended family in the area will no longer set foot in DC even in the daytime.

What is the point of hanging around for a full pension when every perceived wrong decision can possibly land you in prison for life?
