Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) said on Sunday she would not rule out a presidential run.
“No, I’m not,” Cheney said after being asked by anchor Jake Tapper in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union.” Moments earlier, Tapper pressed Cheney on whether she would vote for President Joe Biden over former President Donald Trump. (X Video) “We’re going to see what happens. We’re going to see how things unfold,” Cheney said.
Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, called Trump a “threat” and said she would “imagine that there will be a number of other candidates in the race.”

A leaked audio recording is causing trouble for Rep. Shelia Jackson Lee after it showed her viciously verbally abusing a staffer.
Lee, who is currently running to become the Mayor of Houston, one of America's largest cities, is heard on the recording berating the staffer over what sounds like a calendar issue. The language used is very adult-only, to say the least, and as you'll hear, it goes far beyond what anyone should consider normal or acceptable. Here's the transcript provided by the above post.

Republican presidential candidate Mike Pence said Sunday he would send troops into the Gaza Strip to free American hostages from the grips of Hamas if he were in the White House.
“We’ve got Americans being held by bloodthirsty terrorists in Gaza, and if I was president of the United States, I would have directed the Joint Special Operations Command to stand up Delta Force, to stand up the Navy SEALs, who do the best hostage rescues in the world,” the former vice president said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

According to recent polling by the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics, nearly half of President Joe Biden’s supporters believe the government should clamp down on objectionable speech.
That’s right, among individuals intending to vote for Biden in 2024, 47% think “the government should regulate or restrict the expression of views considered discriminatory or offensive.”
Considered “discriminatory or offensive” by whom, exactly?
Sadly, the results weren’t a whole lot different for supporters of Donald Trump, 35% of whom purport to believe the government should exercise this control.
Fools, all.
Come to think of it, I find the poll and this report offensive, so I want government to regulate them.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.” --Marcus Tullius Cicero
The uniparty, that deep state bureaucracy that rules over us all, determined that the people should not have the Speaker of their choice.
A clear majority of Republicans wanted Rep. Jim Jordan to replace Rep. Kevin McCarthy for good and obvious reasons.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, aka climate worriers Harry and Meghan, departed on a private jet to enjoy some Caribbean solitude after attending a conference that claimed “climate change” is damaging children’s mental health.
The Daily Mirror reports the woke Royal pair attended the summit in New York on October 10 then flew from New Jersey to Canouan in a Falcon 7X for a holiday the next day. (snip) Last Sunday they used the same aircraft to travel four hours from the exclusive island hotspot to Atlanta, Georgia.

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich floated Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) as the next speaker.
Gingrich appeared on Fox News Sunday to provide an analysis of the Republican Party's plight in finding a new leader in the only chamber it currently holds a majority. By the time the House convenes again on Monday, it will have been 20 days without a speaker. (X Video) "I, frankly, I wish — listen, I've talked about this — I wish they had a woman candidate out of all the candidates they've got running," Gingrich said. "Somebody like Elise Stefanik or Beth Van Duyne, who had been a mayor of a city before becoming a congresswoman."

Former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney said the spell of disorder gripping the House of Representatives as her party fails to elect a new speaker, essentially stalling business in Congress, "is a direct result" of Kevin McCarthy's alliance with former President Donald Trump.
"I think what you're seeing right now and among the Republicans in the House is a direct result of the decisions that Kevin McCarthy made to embrace Donald Trump, to embrace the most radical and extreme members of our party, that elevate them," said Cheney during an appearance on "Face the Nation" Sunday. "So it's not a surprise that we are where we are, but it's a disgrace,
