Liz Cheney Jumps Into the Speaker Fight
to Deliver a Desperate Warning

Original Article

Liz Cheney is jumping into the fight over who will be the next Speaker of the House, and she's brought with her (a) desperate warning: Don't elect Rep. Jim Jordan to the position. (snip) How many times can you cry about "democracy" being in danger before people just tune you out? (snip) CHENEY: "Jim Jordan knew more about what Donald Trump had planned for January 6th than any other member of the House of Representatives. Jim Jordan was involved, was part of the conspiracy" (snip) She's like Uncle Rico still talking about how far he can throw a football. Is there any depth to Cheney at this point?

Comments:

If you need a reason to support Jim Jordan, here it is.

#2-if you work from the premise that all of DC is theater (as many of us do), you then realize that there are very few coincidences in there as well; you don't rise to the level of Speaker without being vetted by the swamp creatures and given a thumbs up. Jordan (like Gowdy before him) was there to guard the gate and help deflect our anger--so he's been swamp approved to move to the next level. If you were a longtime reader of the Treehouse, you wouldn't suggest what you think--unless you're only there to lurk.

Liz Cheney is crazy and vindictive, but not dumb. Her anti-endorsement of Jordan could simply be a "please, Br'er Fox, please don't throw me into the briar patch" moment because she knows her former fellow congresscritter has been through the same club-approved teambuilding Ropes course Paul Ryan and Boehner went through.

They promised at every turn that these agents would only be set upon those earning over $400,000 a year. (snip) That broken promise comes as no surprise. Earlier this year, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was cornered into admitting that 90 percent of new audits would affect those earning less than $400,000.
