She's hoping the newly resurrected Clinton Global Initiative (the fake charity but real influence-peddling operation that temporarily closed its doors while being investigated for engaging in pay-to-play fraud) can make a financial killing off all the real killing going on in Ukraine. CGI is ready to help the widowed, orphaned, and suffering people of Ukraine by collecting large sums of money that will go a long way to supporting the Clintons' lavish lifestyles. What remains of their tax-free charitable "services" can then be distributed among their army of cronies desperate for an easy payday.

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) will appoint Laphonza Butler to fill Feinstein’s vacant Senate seat.
“California Gov. Gavin Newsom will appoint EMILY’s List President Laphonza Butler to fill the seat of the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein, elevating the head of a fundraising juggernaut that works to elect Democratic women who support abortion rights, according to a person familiar with the decision.” Politico reported.
Laphonza Butler lives in Maryland and registered to vote there LAST YEAR! Dianne Feinstein died Thursday night at the age of 90. She was the longest-serving woman in the US Senate.

Apparently, there are an increasing number of kids, with no physical or cognitive disabilities whatsoever, who are entering kindergarten without being potty-trained. This is hard to fathom. In the past, the vast majority of children were fully potty trained around three years old, give or take a couple of months.
However, today kindergarten teachers often report to We Are Teachers that 15-20% of their classroom is not potty-trained, and that even a few first-graders are still in Pull-Ups. (Again, this does not include kids with medical issues, or physical or cognitive disabilities.) Sadly, there is a growing trend of children reaching the age of five without being potty trained.
It’s not confirmed, but after Kevin McCarthy allegedly fostered a deal with Democrats over Ukraine aid to pass a stopgap measure to keep the government open, some might pull the trigger on such a plot. It only takes one person to file a motion to vacate, which could hurl the entire House into chaos. The circus would do only one thing: benefit the Democrats ahead of the 2024 elections. There are numerous things Speaker McCarthy has done that have given conservatives heartburn. If the GOP can clinch a more significant majority with more breathing room and a better candidate for the speakership
The Kansas Police Chief who led a raid on a small Kansas newspaper has been suspended from his post. Dave Mayfield, the mayor of Marion, suspended Chief Gideon Cody on Thursday. He did not go into detail or discuss whether or not he is being paid.
The searches occurred on August 11th, and has brought Marion into the spotlight regarding freedom of the press and First Amendment rights. The police chief who led a highly criticized raid of a small Kansas newspaper has been suspended, the mayor confirmed to The Associated Press on Saturday.

Earlier today the US House of Representatives passed a last-minute spending bill to keep the government funded for an additional 45 days, narrowly averting a government shutdown that would have commenced at 12:01 a.m. The bill, spearheaded by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), now heads to the Senate, where it is expected to pass.
With a 335-91 vote, the House approved a 45-day temporary funding measure that excludes border security and $6 billion in funding for Ukraine.
The bill includes provisions for disaster relief funds that likely swayed some Democrats to vote in favor.
Now it’s starting to make sense. Scott Hall, the bail bondsman from Coffee County, Georgia, pleaded guilty today in Fulton County in the Trump Georgia election case.
Scott Hall will now testify against the rest of the defendants in the case. It took Hall a little over a month to plead guilty to the charges. He will serve no time in prison in exchange for his testimony against the other 18 co-defendants.

Most Americans understandably favor the Ukrainian resistance against Vladimir Putin’s Russian naked 2022 aggression.
Yet for Ukraine to break the current deadlock—our generation’s Verdun with perhaps 600,000 combined casualties so far— and “win” the war, it apparently must have the military wherewithal to hit targets inside Russia.
Such strategically logical attacks might nevertheless provoke a wounded and unpredictable Russia finally to carry out its boilerplate and ignored existential threats. From the last 75 years of big-power rivalries, the operational “rules” of proxy wars are well known.
Slouching Towards 1984

In George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984,” he portrays English society – renamed Oceania – as a futuristic version of the 1940s Soviet Union. In this invented society that Orwell calls IngSoc – English Socialism – the populace has even less freedom than the Soviets permitted its citizens and life consists only of drudgery, loneliness and hideousness. The novel grips the reader with fear and loathing of a totalitarian future enabled by technological advances and prompts one with the question: “Can it, will it happen here?”
It goes without saying that the United States in 2023 bears little resemblance to 1984 Oceania.
Ukrainian troops are surrendering in droves, Russian TASS news agency claims, to the extent that Moscow has set up a special radio frequency so Ukrainian soldiers wishing to survive the Meat Grinder can do so safely.
Approximately 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers have surrendered to the Russians using the special 149.200 “Volga” radio frequency, which has been operating since mid-summer, TASS reported.
“Now more than 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen have already chosen life and used the 149.200 ‘Volga’ frequency to surrender. The captives are being fed; they are being provided with all necessary medical care,” a source told TASS, saying the radio frequency works along the entire front.
On Tuesday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed several gun control measures into law, one of which restricts where gun owners can carry their firearms.
According to the Los Angeles Times, one of the laws Newsom signed, S.B. 2, came in response to the Supreme Court’s New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn. vs. Bruen ruling last year, which struck down a gun control law in New York. The new law “seriously limits who can obtain a license to carry a concealed firearm” and details more than two dozen “sensitive” locations where guns cannot be carried. This includes child care centers, public transit, museums, zoos, medical facilities, among many others.

The recent death of former Sen. Dianne Feinstein left Gov. Gavin Newsom in a predicament. Would he keep his promise to fill the seat with a black woman even though two white people (Adam Schiff and Katie Porter) are leading the 2024 race for the seat? As RedState reported, the answer is yes. Newsom appointed Laphonza Butler, whose only qualifications appear to be working on Kamala Harris' failed 2020 presidential campaign while being a "black lesbian."
