A delivery driver who said he was acting in self-defense when he shot a YouTube prankster in a mall food court in April has been acquitted of the main charge against him. A jury on Thursday found Alan Colie not guilty of the primary charge of aggravated malicious wounding in the shooting of Tanner Cook, 21, who runs the "Classified Goons" YouTube channel, Virginia court records show. But the jury was divided on lesser firearms charges, finding the 31-year-old guilty of the unlawful discharge of a firearm in an occupied dwelling, but not guilty of the malicious discharge of a firearm. The hulking Tanner Cook is a youtuber (tube something) who likes to play "practical jokes" by harassing unsuspecting people in public places and taking video of his victim's discomfort and fear. Well, one of his intended victims, a working man who had a job to do, didn't like the harassment, and shot Tanner in the gall bladder in self defense. Tough stuff, Tanner and Tanner's ignorant father. Grow up, both of you. Don't menace people with the means to fight back. They might kill you.

Apparently the confrontation was intimidating enough that the jury decided that it was reasonable. Personally, I don't think I'd have shot him. We don't have all or accurate into, the jury did. Articles like this, especially from the Ass Press are never very clear, accurate, fair or complete since Ass Press doesn't think anyone should be able to even own a gun, let alone carry it, so they always twist the case against the person with a gun.

And, the legal definition of "assault" is putting someone in fear of bodily harm....which was apparently what this horse's ass was all about, scaring people and intimidation. If the armed citizen had punched the assaulting jerk, and then it devolved into a shooting, the first punch would have been judged to make the armed citizen the aggressor. These things are damned complex, and I'll have to go with the jury on this. Tough situation. Let's hope that this 21 year old puke's days of scaring people for fun are over.

Re #7: Eff around, find out Apparently, this infantile six-foot-five 21-year-old plans to continue the "Classified Goons" encounters. The fellow who shot him is apparently still in jail after being found guilty of the unlawful discharge of a firearm in an occupied dwelling. That's the latest report I heard. It's almost predictable. With his father's approval, Tanner is again going to harass and menace people in public, and something bad is going to happen to him, much worse than, say, having his phone knocked out of his hand and having the PIAPS hammer applied to it. Ask for it insistently enough, sometimes you get it. Why give anyone else trouble? Why contend with another for no good reason? Internet fame isn't worth getting one's brains blown out on cellphone video, as entertaining as that might be for others to watch. Ultra Darwin Award approaching.

I frequently carry pepper spray, in addition to a handgun. My thinking is that sometimes some response is needed but it hasn't risen to the level of launching a bullet. This seems like the perfect application of a face full of pepper spray. Six five.....that's definitely intimidating, and he knows and likes being a "goon".

Re #12. You've never been to Loudoun County, Virginia, have you? Used to be beautiful, grassy, green rural horse and farm country populated by good old farmers. Over the last 30-40 years, loony leftists from elsewhere got jobs in DC area, always government money associated, and have overgrown it with expensive housing and leftist ideas. My least favorite part of Virginia these days, right there with Fairfax County. Loudoun is west of DC, Fairfax is south of DC. Once Fairfax County was full and ruined, they spilled over and ruined Loudoun County. I lived in and around, and have had relatives living in and around that area since the 60s. I now stay far away as much as I can. Definitely not "the hood".

Further to #13, I lived in Loudoun County for 24 years and got out 5 years ago. In the 1996 presidential election, Clinton lost at every single precinct in the county. Now, 0bama has won it twice, then Hillary and now Biden. Those lovely old farms are now filled with McMansions and Loudoun has been rated the wealthiest county in the country for the last several years. Your tax dollars at work. I just spent 3 weeks there with my newborn grandson and the county is in the early voting stage for their elected officials. From just observing yard signs, it looks like the far left will prevail once again. Tragic.

#11 is right that a face full of capsaicin (up to sixteen million Scoville heat units) would have discouraged young Tanner in a more legally acceptable manner than a bullet in the torso. Although how was the delivery man to know that Tanner didn't mean him harm by menacing him the way he did? The man who got himself shot is about six and a half feet, two fifty. That's large enough to hurt almost anyone else. Lurking around alarmed, possibly armed strangers is an excellent way to meet your Maker. Prediction: We haven't heard the last from Tanner Cook. They're going to be planting him sometime in the next year. He won't make the infamous 27 Club. Someone will do away with him.

Tampa, Fla., has an overwhelming homeless population. The city would like to believe only 2,040 of its residents are “experiencing homelessness,” but the numbers don’t add up, considering that 11 years ago the estimate was 16,000. But then again, back in 2012, the GOP held its national convention in Tampa, so it was in the left’s best interest to get the highest number possible for the local homeless. Look at the greedy Republicans coming into the land of the downtrodden, spending their dirty oil money on luxury hotels and restaurants, and then leaving without so much as even looking at the real Tampa. Did the media say that exactly?

In September, I wrote “Bombs, Rockets and Torture Cells: The EU is an Islamic Narco-State“. While the media harps on gun ownership in the United States, Muslim gangs in Sweden have taken to throwing hand-grenades and home-brewed explosives at each other. While the Muslim gang members still shoot at each other, they also like hurling explosives at apartment buildings. At the end of August, there were four blasts in one hour at different buildings in Gothenburg where 10% of the country’s Muslim settler population lives. Unlike Belgium and the Netherlands, Sweden’s gangs and their weapons come from the shattered remnants of the former Yugoslavia: Bosnians and Albanians brought as refugees formed gangs

What is the only observable physical phenomenon that science cannot explain? It is perhaps the most important one of all. Let's use an analogy. Suppose that the government were to commission a study about music. Suppose further that the study were restricted to answering a specific question: how does music arise from a musical instrument? The study might begin by surveying a particular musical instrument — let us say the French horn. It would examine its shape, its parts, its constituent metals, and the acoustics involved in producing the music that emanates from it. How far would such a study get in its mission

Former crypto billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried is set to face the music on Tuesday. Jury selection is scheduled to begin in a federal court in downtown Manhattan for his criminal trial on charges that he defrauded customers of FTX, the once-powerful and now-defunct cryptocurrency exchange he once led. According to prosecutors, Bankman-Fried commingled funds between FTX, where he was CEO, and Alameda Research, a hedge fund he also controlled. Once the fishy financials became public late last year, customers and investors rushed to take their money out of the failing exchange and FTX's proprietary cryptocurrency token lost much of its value. The downfall of FTX also arguably marked the final nail in the coffin,

Tommy Fleetwood won the key half point in the 11th match against Rickie Fowler. Heading to the par-4 16th with a one-hole lead, Fleetwood hit his tee shot to 23 feet after Fowler found the water. After Fleetwood missed an eagle putt, Fowler conceded a 2-foot, 8-inch birdie putt -- and Europe's victory. Fleetwood's win on the hole secured at worse
