NEW YORK — Yelling that the future and their lives depend on ending fossil fuels, tens of thousands of protesters on Sunday kicked off a week where leaders will try once again to curb climate change primarily caused by coal, oil and natural gas.
But protesters say it’s not going to be enough. And they aimed their wrath directly at U.S. President Joe Biden, urging him to stop approving new oil and gas projects, phase out current ones and declare a climate emergency with larger executive powers.

The brain dead at work. Of course, they are all wearing clothes made with synthetic materials, phones and glasses made with plastic, plastic bottles and other things all made from oil subproducts. But, they flunked chemistry at school.

They all went home and ordered things shipped by hydrocarbons and food grown, harvested and shipped by hydrocarbons.
Other than that- and travel- they demand an end to the use of hydrocarbons.

In all of human history we are living in the best of times due to energy provide by "fossil fuels".NYC streets where they marched were ankle deep in animal manure before automobiles and people froze to death in their apartments.
As PJ O'Rourke stated - " What kind of pollution do you want? Would you rather die of cancer at eighty or typhoid fever at nine?"

85% female, and about 1/2 under 18yo....who FLEW in with their Mothers. I guess Jumbo Jets don't add carbon, Right? Strange they seem to be upset about the fires in Canukistan, nearly ALL of which were/are 100% "Natural", and in areas with near zero human habitation, no industrial outputs, not even any roads. Those 100% Natural fires have added MORE pollution this year than Humans have in a decade.
Places mentioned as "Home" for the protestors? Houston, Louisiana, Florida...They complained about the Heat waaaay down there...did they have AC on at all this year? They could do THEIR part...by moving somewhere colder, don'cha think?

These young people have had this drummed into their heads since preschool. They have no idea how stopping our reliance on oil will affect the economy and their lives and how unpredictabe wind and solar power are. Destroying the land and wildlife habitats for solar and wind farms is not environmentally friendly either. Of course they're against the safer, and more reliable nuclear power, as well. I'm happy to hear all of the Republican presidential candidate's dedication to increase oil production. I am watching with interest the Nordic Hydrogen Partnership and Elon Musk's Tesla switch to hydrogen. Not sure of it's feasibility, but it's interesting.

Regarding so many subjects of the 20th/ 21st century, it's easier to believe a lie than than to accept that you've been lied to. If they were to accept that they're been lied to their entire belief system would collapse and so would they.

Here are some of the ways petroleum is used in our every day lives. All plastic is made from petroleum and plastic is used almost everywhere: in cars, houses, toys, computers and clothing. Asphalt used in road construction is a petroleum product as is the synthetic rubber in the tires. Paraffin wax comes from petroleum, as do fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, detergents, phonograph records, photographic film, furniture, packaging materials, surfboards, paints, and artificial fibers used in clothing, upholstery, and carpet backing. Uh, PROVE IT first!
Go live in a cave and give up ANYTHING made from Petroleum. I dare you. You won't last long.
By the way, there's no such thing as "fossil fuel," the Earth produces Oil constantly from trapped Methane gas under high pressure and temperature. Oil is almost everywhere on the planet, oozing from sea beds and rock formations. Do some research.
Oh, and another, "by the way," what do you have against trees and plants that you would wish to kill them? CO2 is plant food. The more plant food, the more trees and jungles!

The climate has been changing for 4.5 billion years. Freeze and thaw freeze and thaw. The climate changes all the time. What do they mean by climate change? What is your objective? What are you trying to achieve? Are you trying to keep the climate to stay the same? Whats the ideal temp for the world? Can any of you liberals send us pictures or video's of all that climate damage?

No one says that these freaks have to use anything containing Fossil fuels; of course, they would have to give up their way of life entirely, because almost everything they see, touch, or use is made from fossil fuels. They would have to live 'off the grid ", foraging and hunting for food with wooden clubs. How people can be so ignorant is bewildering. Our whole way of life is build around products made from fossil fuels.
